Chapter 9:

The Zenith’s Awakening

Eclipse of the infinite

The final relic rested in the heart of Zenithspire — the city of the Zenith Guard. Raze led them through the ancient halls, where murals depicted the rise and fall of the Zeniths.

At the center of the city lay the Obsidian Spire, a massive tower reaching into the heavens. The Zenith Relic waited at its peak. But the tower was not unguarded. Ascendants loyal to the old ways attacked, wielding strange powers that bent time and space.

Kairos fought desperately, his flames clashing against time-bending strikes. The closer he came to the relic, the more the Eclipse Flame pushed back — demanding control.

At the summit, Raze confronted him. “The Flame isn’t a weapon. It’s a force of nature. You can’t control it. You have to become it.”

Kairos grasped the Zenith Relic, and for a moment, time itself seemed to freeze. He felt the power surge through him — and for the first time, he didn’t fight it. He embraced it.

The tower trembled, and the Eclipse Flame roared to life.
