Chapter 7:

Side chapter 1: what really happened in the battlefield

KING OF A KINGLESS WORLD

The battlefield was silent.
The once-proud school was now in ruins. Cracks ran across the ground, walls had collapsed, and the air was thick with dust and the lingering scent of blood.
Ren was gone.
Sealed.
But his presence still haunted them.
The Arrival of the Strongest
It all started with a single explosion.
A blinding light erupted from the school, sending shockwaves through the entire kingdom. Windows shattered, the sky darkened, and the very earth trembled beneath the force.
The people of the kingdom panicked. This wasn’t normal.
And so, the strongest title users were sent to investigate.
The Royal Knights.
The Imperial Order.
Even the King’s own personal guards.
Each of them carried titles that granted overwhelming strength.
They thought they were prepared.
But what they found was something else entirely.

When they arrived, they saw it.
A storm of crows filled the sky.
A thick black mist had swallowed the battlefield, making it impossible to see clearly.
Then, through the mist, they saw Ren.
He stood alone, his red eyes glowing.
Bodies surrounded him—some unconscious, others lifeless. The high-rank warriors who had tried to stop him were now his puppets.
He had become something beyond human.
And then—
Ren spoke.
"You all came to kill me?"
His voice was calm. Almost amused.
But beneath that calmness was something terrifying.
Something merciless.

The high-rank warriors attacked first.
They unleashed firestorms, ice spears, and thunderous strikes.
One warrior, The Celestial Spear, hurled a radiant lance toward Ren. The attack could have pierced through mountains.
But—
It stopped mid-air.
The spear hovered for a moment, then—
It turned around.
Before anyone could react—
It shot back.
Straight through the Celestial Spear’s heart.
He collapsed, lifeless.
One by one, their attacks failed.
One by one, they fell.
Because Ren controlled everything.
Anything that breathed… was his to command.
Even the strongest warriors in the kingdom were nothing more than pieces on his chessboard.
It was a massacre.
And yet—
Ren was not invincible.
He was struggling.

With every command he gave, his body weakened.
His mind wavered.
The sacrifice required to maintain his title was too much.
For every soldier he controlled, another piece of his own life force was drained.
And when one warrior—a hooded figure hidden in the shadows—activated the forbidden seal…
Ren felt it.
Chains.
Golden, glowing chains shot from the ground, wrapping around him.
He tried to resist—
But his body froze.
His controlled army fell lifeless.
The mist vanished.
And in the next moment—
Ren was gone.

When Ren opened his eyes, there was nothing.
No walls. No sky. No ground.
Just… white.
An infinite, endless void.
A prison beyond time and space.
A seal designed to last forever.
They had trapped him in eternity.
And yet—
Ren smirked.
A Century Later…
Deep inside an ancient cave, hidden from the world, lay a forgotten seal.
It had remained untouched for a hundred years.
Until—
A girl found it.
Her fingers brushed against the old stone. The moment she did, a voice whispered in her mind.
"You finally found me."
It was all according to Ren’s plan.
But he was still not free.
Not yet.
