Leon took a step back.
He wasn’t afraid of Ren.
At least, that’s what he told himself.
But those crows.
Those eyes.
Something was wrong.
The classroom was silent except for the rustling of feathers. The students—the audience to this show of dominance—stood frozen. No one dared to move.
Ren’s dark mist still swirled around him, the crows perching on desks, on shelves, even on Leon’s shoulders.
For the first time, Leon felt something he had never experienced before.
Powerlessness.
Cain, watching from the sidelines, clenched his fists. He had warned Leon. But now…
Now it was too late.
The Beam of Light
Then—
Everything changed.
A piercing sound—like air itself being torn apart.
The mist around Ren flickered.
And then—
A massive beam of light erupted from his body.
It wasn’t just light.
It was something unstable.
Something uncontrollable.
The entire classroom was engulfed in white.
A deafening BOOM.
Glass shattered.
The force sent everyone flying.
Walls cracked.
The floor trembled.
Desks and chairs were obliterated.
Then—silence.
The light disappeared.
The dust settled.
When the smoke cleared, Ren stood at the center of the destruction.
His body was untouched.
His uniform was covered in dirt, but he didn’t seem injured.
But his hand.
He stared at it.
His fingers trembled slightly, as if he were seeing them for the first time.
Then, in a quiet voice—
"I'm tired."
No one spoke.
No one could understand what just happened.
Leon, coughing, looked up from the ground. His hands shook. He couldn’t move.
Cain pushed himself up, eyes filled with disbelief.
Yuna stared at Ren, her expression unreadable.
The classroom was destroyed.
And yet—
Ren stood there, indifferent.
As if nothing had happened.
As if this wasn’t the first time.
The classroom was silent, the air thick with tension. Leon stepped closer, his fists clenched. The humiliation of being overpowered by Ren burned in his chest. He had always seen Ren as nothing—a coward, a nobody.
But now…
That was different.
The red glow in Ren’s eyes wasn’t normal. It wasn’t human.
Leon’s breath was ragged as he activated his title.
"I, the blazing warrior, will tear you apart!"
A surge of fiery energy burst from his body, his aura flaring like a wildfire. His title, blazing warrior, granted him immense speed and destructive force. He lunged at Ren, his hands glowing with searing heat—each strike carrying the weight of an explosion.
Ren didn’t move.
Not until the last second.
Then—
He dodged.
Effortlessly.
Leon’s attack missed by mere inches, his fist shattering the tiles beneath.
Ren’s hand shot forward.
His fingers clamped onto Leon’s skull.
Then—
SLAM.
The impact sent shockwaves through the room. Leon’s body crumpled, his vision darkening.
Ren stared down at him, his crimson eyes glowing ominously.
"Pathetic."
The moment Ren spoke those words, an oppressive pressure filled the air.
The door burst open.
They had arrived.
The High-Rank Title Users.
Each of them bore a title far more powerful than Leon’s. The air crackled with energy. These weren’t ordinary students—these were the strongest in the kingdom.
A girl with silver hair stepped forward. Her voice was calm but commanding.
"Ren, surrender. You have gone too far."
Her title: Divine Empress.
Beside her, a man wielding a massive greatsword cracked his knuckles.
"He’s too dangerous. Let’s end him now."
His title: Warbringer.
They weren’t alone.
More high-rank users filled the room, their powers radiating like miniature suns. They had come to stop a monster.
Ren felt it.
For the first time, he was outmatched.
The Struggle Begins
The battle erupted in an instant.
Ren was fast—but they were faster.
A blade nearly cleaved him in half. He barely twisted away, but a second strike sliced his arm. Blood splattered across the floor.
A wave of divine energy slammed into him, sending him crashing into the walls. The impact left cracks running across the entire building.
Ren coughed, his body aching.
He had never fought so many high-rank users at once. He was losing.
They surrounded him, their attacks relentless.
Then—
Something inside him snapped.
A whisper echoed in his mind.
"Are you truly powerless?"
No.
No.
His red eyes pulsed. The air around him shifted.
The high-rank users hesitated.
Something was wrong.
Ren’s title—
It was changing.
The words on his status screen twisted, reforming.
From: Cowardly King
To: King of the Kingless World.
A deafening silence fell.
Then—
The battlefield changed.
The high-rank users froze. Their bodies trembled.
Then, one by one, they turned.
And knelt before Ren.
"What… What is this?!" one of them screamed, clutching their head.
They were no longer in control.
Ren was.
Every title user he had faced—every single one—was now his to command.
The silver-haired girl, Divine Empress, gritted her teeth.
"His title… it’s absolute. We can't resist him!"
Ren tilted his head, his expression unreadable.
"You came to stop me. But now… you serve me."
With a single command, the high-rank title users turned against each other.
Swords clashed. Powers exploded. The battlefield became a bloodbath.
Ren simply watched.
He controlled them all.
For the first time, he felt like a king.
For the first time, he felt free.
But then—
Something changed.
A golden seal appeared beneath his feet.
Ren's body froze.
The ground itself turned into chains, wrapping around his limbs.
From the shadows, a cloaked figure emerged.
"You’ve gone too far, Ren."
They had prepared this moment.
They had expected his awakening.
They had planned to seal him from the start.
Ren struggled, but the more he fought, the stronger the seal became. His controlled warriors screamed in agony as their minds were freed.
The golden light engulfed him.
The high-rank users, now free, used the last of their strength to bind him completely.
Ren was falling.
As the seal tightened, as his body was dragged into an abyss of darkness, Ren smiled.
His voice was calm.
Cold.
His red eyes burned as he spoke his final words:
"I'll be back… to end you all."
Then—
He was gone.
