Was Wondering When It Was Gonna Get Interesting…

Jobe and Adrian are first to clash, a large gust of wind coming from their impact. Evelyn follows shortly after and places a low kick on the back of his knee. He loses balance and drops to Adrian’s level, who winds up an overhead swing with a wild grin, clashing with Hanna’s sword before it can reach its target. Hanna pushes him back and Casey fires on Evelyn but she weaves out of the bullet's path. She dashes after Casey as Jobe follows behind her, sidestepping his shots, before dropping to the ground and sliding under Casey’s legs. She slides to a halt and reaches down to flip the switches on her skates.

“Overdrive!!” She yells out, her veins glowing teal as she dashes at Casey and knees him in the back.

He’s sent into the charging Jobe and he catches his ally. He tosses him in the air but gets hit by a roundhouse from Evelyn. He throws a hook but she ducks under the large and slow attack, uppercutting him in the same spot on his side. Casey aims his revolver at Adrian as he continues to clash with Hanna. He side steps one of her sword slashes before taking his bat and deflecting one of the bullets back at her. It grazes her cheek but doesn’t deter her as she charges in for another slash. But Adrian clashes with her again, before running his shoulder into her chest, knocking her into Jobe’s back. Adrian and Evelyn both charge in at the same time, Adrian aiming a swing above Hanna’s head towards Jobe, bashing him in the back of his head. Hanna, in the middle of a swing of her own, slashes him across the chest . Evelyn goes low, dodging another one of Jobe’s swings, before knocking Hanna’s legs out from under her. Adrian’s eyes lock on his downed opponent and he goes for another overhead swing, but Jobe is quick to respond, crashing his knuckle dusters in Adrian’s face. The impact sends him reeling back and blood starts to slowly stain his shirt from his fresh wound, but his wild smirk still remains on his face, licking away the blood coming out of his nose. He goes to swing his bat again, anticipating another clash from Hanna.

“Overdrive…” He says,

As he gets the extra strength boost his bat overwhelms her attack and crashes into her head. She’s sent into one of the many marble pillars in the museum. Adrian feints a follow up towards Hanna but jumps backwards as Casey attempts to shoot at him.

“So she’s the strongest…” Adrian says with a smirk,

He stomps his foot hard on the stone floor, the impact hurling rocks in the air, taking his bat and hitting rocks at the shooter. Casey is able to dodge a few of the projectiles but is quickly overwhelmed by the volume of them and is pelted across his body. Evelyn takes over for Adrian and skates after Hanna, kicking her in the face, knocking her back into the air. She’s able to correct herself and lands on her feet. She raises her blade and Evelyn’s wheels scrape off of it, sparks flying from the clash. Evelyn skates out of Hanna’s range as she feels her body returning to normal, her Overdrive wearing off. Jobe goes after Adrian, throwing a straight right that Adrian blocks with his bat, pushing against each other with their weapons. Jobe begins to slide back and he abandons the struggle, jumping back next to Casey, who holds the left side of his face. Blood leaking from a wound above his eye. Evelyn skates back to her ally as Hanna does the same.

“Ah… Son of a… What the hell is happening?” Casey asks,

“They’re both breathers…” Jobe answers, “We need to even the playing field and fast.”

“I agree…” Hanna says, pulling out a small vile, it glowing a bright teal.

Adrian grins as he sees all three down their own separate vial, each of their veins glowing teal like them. “It’s about time… Was wondering when it was gonna get interesting…”

“We have to attack them more coordinated, Adrian.” Evelyn says, “They help the other as soon as one of our attacks land.”

“Fine by me.” Adrian responds before letting his friend take the lead.

Evelyn skates ahead and picks up a piece of rubble as she does, tossing it behind her at Adrian, who hits it at Casey. However, he shoots it perfectly out of the air, before aiming at Evelyn. He is able to predict her path, shooting her in the leg and causing her to faceplant. Adrian rushes in as he watches Jobe lift his friend, throwing her at him. Adrian flips over his friend and reaches out his hand, which Evelyn catches. Their veins start to glow once again as Adrian uses all his strength to throw her back at the group.

“Overdrive!!” they say in succession,

Evelyn throws a super-man punch directly into Jobe’s face, sliding backwards from the impact, but not falling. Adrian follows soon after but doesn’t land an attack as he ducts out of the way of another one of Hanna’s swings. Adrian is then shot in the side by Casey as he follows his movements. Evelyn attempts a flying kick at Hanna but she dodges, backing away and deflecting a flurry of her kicks. Jobe charges in with an overhead right but Adrian stops him by jamming the edge of his bat in his side. He then sidesteps to Jobe’s back and uses him as a meat shield as Casey attempts to fire on him again. He hits his ally in the shoulder instead. Evelyn hits Jobe with a roundhouse across the side of his head and attempts to dodge out of the way of another sword slice, but the blade sinks into her skin, cutting horizontally across her forehead. Blood gushes from the wound and gets in her eyes, blinding her. Casey takes the opportunity to shoot her but Adrian steps in front of it and deflects it. Jobe grabs both of their heads and slams them into one another, causing the two to stumble back in a daze. Hanna aims a stab at Adrian’s wounded side and her blade sinks into him. However, Adrian welcomes the attack, pushing his body into the blade until it’s all the way through. He then takes his bat and slams it down on her arm, causing her to let go, her limb going limp. Adrian then rips the sword out with a grunt and breaks it over his knee with a smirk.

Evelyn frantically rubs her eyes until she's able to see clearly and the first thing she witnesses is a left hook from Jobe. It hits her in the side of the head and she falls on her back, before placing her palms on the floor, springing back up with both feet striking his stomach. Adrian hits Hanna with an onslaught of swings, using her body as cover whenever Casey attempts a shot, before winding up a baseball swing. He hits her square in the jaw and he sends her airborne, with Evelyn jumping in the air after her, spiking her back down with a drop kick. While in the air, Casey takes a shot at her head, but she raises her forearm. The bullet goes through her arm and grazes her ear. Jobe catches her ankle as she lands and attempts to throw her face first into the ground, but Adrian steps in, pelting him across the face. Evelyn breaks from his grip and springs off the ground with her hands again, flipping back to her feet. They both dash towards Jobe, Adrian going low, hitting him in the knee while Evelyn cracks him across the face with a high kick. Adrian hits him in the side next, then Evelyn with a hook to his chin, skating away from a bullet.

She zig zags around the area and grabs the hilt of Hanna’s broken sword. Then she throws the blade at him, Casey rolling out of the way, taking another shot. Adrian deflects it with his bat and the two push up, Evelyn skating to the side to flank, while Adrian charges forward. He takes a swing that Casey dodges. But as he’s occupied, Evelyn kicks the sword in the air with her heel, catching it on top of her skate and kicking the blade into his side. Before he can even react Adrian cracks him over the head with his bat and brings down another swing while he’s on the ground. Behind them, Jobe rips one of the marble columns from its spot, charging and swinging it at them. Adrian attempts to clash with the large object, cracking it slightly, but getting blown backwards in the process. Evelyn ducts under the column though, lunging at Jobe and placing a flying knee in his face. She then grabs the side of his head and starts to knee him repeatedly in the face. Adrian gets to his feet and watches Evelyn slam his face into the ground. They stand and wait for any of them to get up and after seeing that they’re the only ones left standing, they both fall on their butts, out of breath.

“Shit…” Adrian says, grabbing his wounded side.

“Still think we needed triple the numbers…?” Evelyn jokes, which gets a laugh from her friend,

She gets to her feet and rolls over to Adrian, reaching out and helping him to his feet. He limps over to the bodies and starts to check them for plates, finding three. A plate that reads “856” for Jobe, “966” for Casey and “719” for Hanna. Adrian takes the three plates with a smirk but something else catches his eye. Stained with a bit of blood, Adrian pulls out a card from Hanna’s pocket, seeing the Thunder blade insignia on it.

“What’d you find?” Evelyn asks, looking over his shoulder,

“No idea… Looks important though.” He replies, showing it to her,

“Well, if you want to carry trash in your pocket, I won’t stop you.” She says, checking over the bodies, she finds three more of the same vials. “Hey, check it out, dude! They had extra Overdrive on them.”

“Don’t even think about it…” Adrian scowls seeing the drug, “I left it for a reason.”

“And you’re dumb for it. I’m selling this stuff for new clothes, look at what they did!” She shows him her torn up outfit,

“Huh… Good point, except the clothes part, moron. You forget we’re trying to buff up our ship?”

“One thing at a time, Buddy! Come on, let's go tell Chante it’s safe.”
