Chapter 1:
NO(body)
Hero opens the door the detention room and was greeted by a grown man watching a student finish a test. It was not long before the grown man looks at Hero and greats him, “Ara Ara, we have another joining us for detention~?” The student slammed his head into his hands faster than light, “God damn it, I hate this shit.” Hero slowly shuts the door and decides to find a way to leave this place.
With no hesitation, Hero keeps walking down the hall way to find an exit anywhere. He gets to the end of the hall and see he is at a cross road. One way to light, the other way is back and where he goes is towards the sign that is lit up as an exit. Hero bolts it towards the exit and slams into the door. The alarm goes off and Hero is already climbing the fence towards the other side. When security arrived, Hero has already made it over the fence and into the forest.
He keeps running into the forest, jumping over logs and stumbling over vines and tree branches. The guards are not far behind him. They are about 3 feet away from him before Hero trips over a vine and falls flat onto his face. Slowly, Hero loses consciousness.
The slow sound of Jazz and the setting sun’s last red kiss goodbye filled up the room with calm, warm, loving spirit. The smell of Jack steering a pot of soup wakes Hero up from his sleep. “Good evening sleepyhead,” Jack says while standing over Hero in Jack’s bed in an apron. “Serra, turn off the music and set the mood for dinner,” Jack commanded the room to do. “As you wish Master,” Serra spoke while following her orders.
Jack grabs two bowls and put it on the table next to the hot plate and pours the soup into the bowls and then hands one to Hero who has now gotten up and is holding his head. “I am good,” Hero says while pushing away the bowl of soup. “Don’t be such a prune, I made it specially for you,” Jack looked at Hero with a face of broken emotions.
A pause happens while Hero and Jack look at each other. Hero looks at were the voice was coming from and asked, “Serra, it reminds me of something, but I don’t remember. Actually, I don’t remember any of this. Jack, if you want to help me, can you explain what is this place and the rules that I’ve heard about?” At this realization, Jack looked less saddened and looked at hero, “You don’t remember us?” Jack gets a little quiet and spoke up again, “You don’t remember when we held hands?” Hero’s face cringed and looked at Jack, “We held hands? What do you mean, I just met you and you are already trying to make some love story up. I don’t swing that way man. I don’t know about you but we never had a love relationship.” At that moment, Hero got up and left the room.
Jack rushed up and grabbed Hero’s hand. “Babe, wait! I can explain everything,” Jack pleaded. Hero turned around and looked Jack in the eyes and spoke, “You’ve said that before, but then you start rambling on about your crazy fantasy about how we held hands and this and that. I assure you I did not do such things.” He swatted off Jack’s hand and walked off. Jack fell to his knees out in the middle of the hallway, “You have it all wrong…”
Hero stormed into his room and looks through out for answers. He opened the closet and grabbed all of the uniforms, shoes and jewelry cases, and threw them on the ground to look for answers. First, he started looking inside of the pockets of the jackets and slacks, then started looking inside the shoes, but finally to no avail, he look through the boxes and found nothing of worth. Just a few watches and uniforms belonging to Mythose Academy.
A few knocks on the door caught Hero off guard. “Yo brother, what are you doing in there? Are you dying?” Jade on the other side checking in on Hero. “I’m fine, just go!” shouted Hero at the door. “Nah man, I can’t let you keep me out of you drama.”Jade opens the door and finds Hero and the mess he made out of his room, “I can’t believe you are alright, just the other week you two were love birds and now you are tearing up your room like a monkey.”
Hero pushes Jade to the wall with a look of confusion on his face, “Tell me good, and tell me now. What is going on in here?” Jade shakes his head, “Did you hit your head or something, maybe you need to sleep this off. No way you don’t remember you two being together, especially how much work you guys did to be together,” Jade begins to push Hero back and make his way to the door. “I’m going to take my leave before you do any more,” Jade said while leaving Hero’s room.
Hero steps back and sits on the bed to rethink what he was doing. The sun finally set below the mountains outside, closing the night with one last glow of light until the sun was gone. Odd thing He noticed about the sky is there is no moon or stars out. Once that thoughts struck across his mind, the ringing in his ears came back. As quickly as the sun set, he was fast asleep before he ever got the chance to turn off the lights.
