The Red 44

The Red 44 is a hovercraft built for racing through solar systems like others in its line, or so it was four cycles back.

With new and better models in the market, the Red 44 fell to the wayside for collectors to harvest.

One such model landed in the hands of Lou in a junkyard, damaged but recoverable with the scraps nearby.

With the help of an eagle-eyed mechanic, the Red 44 (version 2) is created and the customer leaves satisfied.

"Hey pops."

"I'm ready to leave."

"About time you did."

"I'll be home soon."

"Go get them."

The father hugs the young mechanic one last time before turning away as she walks forward with a suitcase.
