Attached foolishly

The time passed and I was sitting in my bed in silence until the sound of both our stomachs made a noise. I laughed with her and held my phone. I was buying a pizza while she was only looking at me with interest.

“What are you doing?”

“I’m ordering some food, it has time since I eat something else that just instant noodles… this is going to be delicious, trust me”

“I believe you, oh… I forgot to mention, a man with some blue clothes came early to deliver a package, it was a big one, although he looked at me in weird way, maybe because of what you said to me”

“Ah, well not only your clothes don’t match the daily dress code but even if you dress like people in this world do, you will still stand up thanks to your hair, height and skin color”

“I see, in that case I cannot do anything about that”

“Did you receive the package? I’m impressed, can you bring it here?”

“Sure”

I totally forgot about the monitor; I should buy some clothes for her too so she doesn’t stand more than she does… clothes for her…

I smiled like an idiot and the girl looked at me with a disgusted face.

“At least you are back to normal…”

“Ah…”

The voice of her made me out of my trance of imagination, the package that she had was indeed the monitor, I stepped out of the bed and lost my balance, holding my head and the edge of the bed.

“Easy. Are you ok?”

The girl was about to go close to me but I nodded.

“I’m fine, don’t worry, must be that I haven’t eaten that well and the early nap”

“I would not consider that a simple nap”

“You are right”

I smile and hold the package, I try to get rid of the tape but I didn’t have that much strength to do it, I went searching in my room for a pair of keys or something with an edge, but that attempt to search for something went to the trash when I hear the sound of the cardboard being ripped.

I looked back and saw the entire top part of the box ripped and the girl holding the part and putting it behind her.

“I would it like to keep the box but it is what it is… help me put the things in the bed, please”

“Ah… right… sorry”

After putting the parts of the monitor in the bed I took the one in the desk and started to put the new one in there, in took me less than 10 minutes and the girl look at the screen while I was sitting in the chair, she got a little to close, I did feel a bit nervous but before anything else the doorbell sounded.

I took a step out of my room but I got shock for what my eyes meet, a place completely out of dust, clean, shiny and smelling like roses, just like my mother used to do, I bit my lips trying to hold my tears but that was impossible, the girl saw me and pat my head, I close my eyes and smile.

“Let me handle it, I already took one package, so do not worry”

“Thank you…”

I turn back to my room and look at the girl.

“It’s already paid so, just take the food”

The girl opened the door covering herself with the door and looking at the deliverer, he moved a bit his hat and extended the box a bit.

“Order”

“Ah, thank you very much sir”

The girl extended her hand and look at the box weirdly

“Is there something wrong, miss?”

“Ah! No, thank you”

The girl closed the door gently and went to the room where I was.

“This smells really delicious, but how do you eat this?”

“Oh, the food is inside”

“Like the computer”

“No, well I guess in your time you don’t have this type of package, observe and be delighted”

I opened the box and the whole aroma made me swallow saliva and made the girl do it too.

A great greasy, cheesy, and big pepperoni pizza was in the box, the girl’s saliva could be seen leaving her lips and I just laughed a bit while she cleaned herself.

“H-How do you eat this?”

“You just take a slice —I took a slice and bit it— and eat”

The girl was impressed and took a slice too, she bit it and the cheese was leaving her mouth so she moved her head in front to eat the cheese and cut it, she swallowed it and hold her check while smiling.

“This is delicious! ~”

I laugh a bit and continue eating.

“It’s not really nutritious, but is fantastic”

“I can taste it”

In no time we finished the pizza and leave the box made a little square thanks to the strength of the girl in the trash bin, I finally sit on my chair and the girl was at my side with one of the chairs that were in the dining room, she really was tall, since even was I sitting straight and she was bending, her head was still a bit over me.

She was looking at the screen with interest, her eyes follow the cursor and I was making fun of her, moving it from left to right, up and down and in circles, she notices a few minutes after that I was the one moving it.

“You are enjoying this, do you?”

“Maybe”

I was smiling and I thought she was going to be mad but she was smiling too, I could feel my heart melt from that smile of hers, she really was beautiful, I just sighed and looked at the monitor, clicking on the game that she came from.

“Before attempting to do something else, I want you to look at something, this is the game that you came from, and I summon you… this is the art gallery, is this your country?”

“This does not look like my home…”

“I thought so… when I was telling you about your place and nothing seem to ring the bell I knew that something like this could happen”

“Ring the bell?”

“Ah, sorry it’s an expression in here, it means that since you didn’t remember, or something like that, but if you don’t come from this game, then I wonder how, because I didn’t do that much, do you remember something before you came in here?”

“I remember that I was exploring a weird dungeon, I touch a mirror and it sends me to this place, that is why I call this “monitor” a mirror”

“I see, but why to this place, and why to this era?”

I bite my nail and try to figure out how all of this was happening, the game may have something to be, maybe if I continue playing it, I may discover something.

I took the new rout and the next with tons of weird text was still going on, but the dialogue just came to go and the screen when in complete white, but not like last time, I try to press something else but there wasn’t something ahead, that was all the new route

The computer didn't freeze, I could make sure of that, and I could make the log pop out, I looked at the girl and pointed at the computer.

“Do you recognize any of these symbols?”

“No, it does not seem to something that I remembered”

I took some photos and started to post on forums. I looked at the girl and she was staring at me with a face that she didn’t show me before, I moved my head to the side and started to talk.

“I post this in a place to see if someone has information about it, we may not have something until a week or so… so…”

“I understand, do not worry, I will make sure to not disturb you. I really appreciate what you did, you seem to take this seriously, and… I want to apologize, maybe I misjudged you, really…”

“Oh, no… don't worry about it…”

“Do you know a place where I can stay? I will visit you in a week… time works the same right? 24 hours is a day”

“Ah, yeah…”

“Well, is there somewhere?”

I was searching different hotels, night cafe and… other places… and thought she has money, a lot, wherever she wants to be she wouldn’t have difficulties and she’s very strong, besides I don’t really want to creep her out more than she is… so let her go… let her…

My hands stopped and she looked at me.

“Did you find something?

“…tay…”

“Mmmh?”

She looked at me confused and I grabbed part of her sleeve.

“You can stay here… if you want…”
