“You can stay here if you want…”

I looked at the floor and let go of the sleeve of the girl, she then held me by the cheek and made me look at her in the eyes.

“If you want someone to do something, you need the guts to say it to their faces, and directly into the eyes”

I feel a strange sensation across all my body, like if it was being electrified and numb at the same time for a couple of seconds, I could feel how the temperature of my entire body went up like if they throw me boiling water, but I wasn’t going to back down now, I took the hand of the girl and look her straight in the eyes while my hands were shaking and my voice trembling.

“I want you to stay here”

I didn’t separate the eyes from hers and she just smiled gently, I could notice a bit of red in her cheeks, she sat down next to me and nodded.

“I will stay then, if you want”

I looked at the other side of the bed while holding my head and stroking my hair, I was so embarrassed that my thoughts were completely gone, I sighed and stood up to go to my closet, from there I took out a futon and started to spread it across the floor.

“This is clean, I haven’t used it in a long time but I’m sure it is clean… my clothes will not fit you so… you will need to stay with yours for a bit”

“I understand”

I took out my phone and showed her some clothes that I saved in my wishlist.

“I think about something like this would fit you, but I don’t know if you want something else or if you want to have anything else”

“I am not really sure, I like the top being black and the skirt and I have no knowledge of the rest of the items, if you think it would fit me then go ahead”

“Are you sure

“Yes”

The girl started to take off part of her armor and I just sat there silently watching and she handed me a part of her armor.

“You want to take a look?”

“No, go ahead… actually, can I see your sword?”

She nodded and handed me over her sword, and I started to bounce it a bit.

“It’s definitely different from a replica but not as heavy as they said it’s”

I tried to unsheathe the sword but I couldn’t do it.

“Oh that… you need to do this —the girl move a bit the handle and the sheath and the sword came out— be careful”

I took out part of the sword and looked at the steel, and then put it back to its sheath making that characteristic noise.

“That’s awesome”

“You said this place is a world of more peace that the time when I come from, it is normal that you be interested in these type of things”

“Yeah, you can’t normally see this type of things daily”

I saw the look of the girl without her armor, her entire figure stood out more, tight pants, a loose white shirt and white socks. The girl threw herself into the futon and yawned.

“Are you sure you want to stay there? You can use my bed instead”

“I am good, I am your visit after all, visits should never sleep in the main bed of the house owner”

“In here we tend to give the best to the visits, at least my family…”

I looked down and the girl gave my little hits with his finger in my leg so I try not to look that sad.

“Well, you will be here at least for a week, the clothes should arrive by tomorrow… uhm… I didn’t ask but, I think is better if we know each other’s name”

“Fine by me, I am Evelyn Fubori, daughter of Magnus Fubori and Alexandra Fubori, the 5th of 9th brothers, and third in the successor to the leader of the family, I am 25 years old and I am an adventurer”

I looked at her and just giggled, she had a very proud face saying her name and she closed her eyes and held her hand in her chest.

“Saying to other person would make it weird out but I find it quite captivating”

I clean my throat and put my hand open in my chest and say with a little smirk.

“I am Azura Hito, son of Ichiban Hito and Hanae Hito, I am an only son, 23 years old and I am a shut-in”

“Is shut-in what I think it is?”

“You probably notice by now but yeah, I just live in this please and barely go out, I do not work or study, just pass my days rotting in this place until my body handle it”

“And are you sure that is what you want to do?”

“Yeah, I don’t really see a reason why to do other things, I enjoy being in here and pass the time like this”

The face of Evelyn was conflicted, but she didn’t say another word, and she just let it pass and just pointed at me one more time.

“Are you really 23 years old? You look much younger”

“And you much older- “

A punch was being thrown to one of my sides and she looked at me seriously.

“I will let that pass just this time”

“Yes ma’am…”

I rest in my bed and look at the ceiling, even though she cleaned that part full of spider-web and dust, I really own her for that, if not for her I wouldn’t notice how different my room would look without all that trash.

“Are you still awake, Azura?”

“You must be confident if you are calling me by my first name”

“I did not intend to… sorry”

“It’s okay, I don’t mind it, Evelyn”

“How do you turn off the lights?”

“You turned them on, didn’t you?”

“I did but… how do I turn them off?”

“The same way you turn them on”

“Alright, I will come in a moment”

“Don’t tell me…”

I sigh and look at the ceiling one more time

I hope the neighbors don’t bother me…

Evelyn returned after a few minutes and turn off the light of the room, the only light were the ones coming through the window but that was enough, I closed my eyes and fall asleep, the time passed, and I opened my eyes again just to my eyes be received by one of the most beautiful images that I could possibly imagine.

Evelyn was staring at the window, the stars were reflecting in her eyes and the light lights made her beauty be a lot more noticeable, I stared at her a bit and I spoke after a few minutes.

“Can’t sleep?”

“Oh, sorry. Did I wake you up?”

“No, I couldn’t sleep either… What are you doing?”

“When I cannot sleep, I like to watch the stars… you room has a view to your garden, so it doesn’t feel too far from home”

“I think it would better in your place”

I approach at the side of her and watch the stars too

“Why do you like to watch the stars?”

“It has something that relax me, I was feeling anxious thinking about my family, like I said to you, they depend on me for a lot of things”

“Like money?”

“No, they had money but my parents are getting old and my older brothers are not around, I told you not? I am the fifth of nine brothers, and those brothers are younger than me, they can barely do hard work and some of the are arrogant”

“Must be a pain”

“Sometimes, but I love every single one of them”

“Not that I can really emphasize with that, even though I am an only son I never wanted a brother or a sister”

“Never? Really? I cannot imagine a life without my brothers”

“Maybe not never, but I can’t remember if I did, from my knowledge I never had that issue, and I’m grateful that I had no brothers”

“Why?”

“Because I am not the type of guy who brings his own downfall with others”

“You have a lot of self-knowledge in what you do. Why keep doing it?”

“I think because is the only thing that made me forget, I don’t really know myself, this is all I know what to do and I don’t want to bother with other stuff, it would be a waste of time and by the time I am dead, none of that will matter”

“But it does matter, and what you are saying is all a lie, you may not know but the look that you had when you were looking at the sword was of complete joy”

I couldn’t say anything about that and kept silent.

“I have a proposal, let me help you in finding what to do, that will be my way to pay you back”
