Chapter 0:
Onnagata
This is the second web manga I have written, made in collaboration with the Hivemind Literary agency. As with the Honeyfeed version of my first work, "My New Boss is the Grim Reaper?!" this is not a prose novel, but rather the exact script I wrote that was translated into Japanese, given to my artist, and drawn. This is not the medium that this story was intended to be told in, and if you are able to understand Japanese, I would highly highly recommend reading the web manga version over this. A link to the manga will be in the novel's description as well as in the comments.
I want to take a moment to thank some people, without whom this work would not have been possible. I want to thank Manami, my incredibly hardworking translator and agent, for all her help. I want to thank my artist, Tachibana Haruki, who put their heart and soul into the illustrations of the web manga. The novel's cover is also their work. There's many talented people in Hivemind and Gataket who also helped to bring about this manga, and I want to thank each of them sincerely too.
Lastly, I understand this is a humble community, driven by amateurs and hobbyists. Please do not take my words to be insulting or disrespectful; I mean it in the best of ways. However, I want to be a great writer and I want to write great things. I was inspired and I want to inspire. I know it is cringy to say that openly. In fact, I cringed a little while writing this. That is to say, if I am ridiculed for it, either to my face or behind closed doors, I completely understand. But I am very proud of what I have done, of what I have made, and of what barriers I have managed to break through to accomplish what I did. It was not easy, however trivial it may all seem to a mocking bystander, and I don’t want it to be diminished by anyone, not even myself.Thank you and enjoy your read,
