Chapter 1:

Chapter 1: Goodbye Cincinnati

Soldier Clasess

Mallory Nhyira is an interesting person.
Mallory Nhyira is the type of person to believe that there's nothing to do on this earth. You just be here and then you're gone
To Mallory nothing matters here, and nothing ever will.
The only things she enjoys are reading and watching anime, and that's about it.
To anyone around her she's a fun as a log because of how uninteresting she is.
In fact during her class's dodgeball game in which they had to choose between her and a girl who was really bad at dodgeball they chose the girl who was bad at dodgeball because of how uninterested she was in anything.
She lives with her mom Joan who's a librarian, her brother Huey who's into science, and Emma who's Mallory if she just directed her hatred to her mother instead of everyone else.
However one day in particular struck her.
After a snore fest of a day in which teachers told students about possible future careers her mom told her she had great news.
"What? You're dating someone again?" which was the first thing that came out of Mallory's mind.
"No Mal," Joan told her, "I have never dated anyone ever since your father was gone."
"Then what is it?" Mallory asked.
"We're moving!" Joan responded to her.
"Oh God!" Mallory cringed. "Why the hell are we moving for?"
"Well, I've been thinking about moving for awhile with how expensive living in a place like Cincinnati is so I found the perfect place where we are going to be living in can you guess where we're living?" Joan asked her.
"Hell?" Mallory responded.
"Very funny Mal, we're actually moving to Hillen which is near Cleveland." Joan told her.
"Oh My God! That's even worse!" Mallory yelled then she began to laugh about it.
"Are you done now?" Joan asked her furiously.
"Yes!" Mallory replied.
"You see Mal, as a result of Cincinnati being an expensive and I got a bigger job as a librarian at Hillen's Public Library all of us will be moving there, we'll be leaving tomorrow morning so pack all of your stuff and get ready you got it?" Joan asks.
"Sure." Mallory responds and then walks over to Huey's room.
"Hey Huey you dumb dumb: pack all of your crap we're leaving tomorrow morning and moving to a new place" She yells at the front of his door saying this.
"What do you mean we're moving tomorrow? I have plans to do work on my projects" Huey lashed at her.
"Your loss, so pack your crap" Mallory taunted him then she walked to Emma's room and opened the door.
"Emma are your in there?" Mallory asked.
"Yes I'm here you idiot. What do you want?" Emma asked her.
"Well mom says all of us are moving so you have to pack everything so that all of us can be able to leave." Mallory told her.
"I don't understand what you're trying to say." Emma told her.
"WE ARE NO LONGER LIVING IN THIS HOUSE ANY MORE" Mallory told her.
"So you mean someone else is having this house?" Emma asked.
"Technically yes but we going to live somewhere else" Mallory answered.
"Where's that?" Emma asked.
"It's a town called Hillen, I don't know what it is but that's were we are all going to live I guess." Mallory explained.
"Whatever." Emma responded.
After dinner, Mallory went into her room and pack everything she had from her bookshelf to her clothes to her bathroom material to even her anime figures. She packed everything she had in one night.
After all that packing, she was tired. She had never felt anything like this before this has been her home for her entire life so moving just feels extremely weird. But it doesn't matter because she was an extremely unpopular student at school who was known for slacking off, having awful test work and passes at the last minute in order not to fail the grade, and did not have a single friend whatsoever.
"You know" Mallory tells herself with glee, "There's nothing that I miss about this place I hated everything, so good riddance Cincinnati!"
After she said that she went to sleep.

----------

It was now 4:00 AM and Mallory had her eyes open and begins to check her phone.
"Crap! It's only 4" she said quietly. Mallory just couldn't wait to leave the place. She tried to close her eyes but she couldn't be able to sleep. So as a result, she grab her computer in her bookbag and began watching anime. She continued to watch anime until it was 6.
"Well, it's about time for me to brush my teeth and wash myself." She said to herself.
After that she stayed in her bedroom waiting for everyone else because she knew that she wasn't a good cook in order to make breakfast for herself. So she laid in her bed until someone made breakfast for her. That is when she heard her mother's room door opened.
"Are all of you finished already?" Joan yelled.
"Just finishing up a couple of things" Huey yelled.
"Well, hurry up because all of us are supposed to be leaving by 9!" Joan yelled.
Huey and Joan got along well despite Huey being the only boy in the family as Joan appreciates Huey's intelligence to things that she needs and Huey who like Mallory never really had any friends appreciates him mother for being the only person that likes him.
"Mother I need help!" Emma said in a calm but loud voice.
"What do you need help with?" Joan asks.
"Well I need help putting everything in the suitcases you gave me." Emma replies, "I don't know which clothes should I place in what suitcase."
Joan walks to Emma's room and helps her place her clothes along with other things in her suitcase.
Afterwards everyone began to eat breakfast which was pancakes.
The kids loved their mom's pancakes as it's one of her favorite things to make.
After everyone was finished it was time to say farewell to this city.
Joan went a visit her nearby friends and hugged them while doing so.
Right now it's 8:30 as the Nhyira family departs from Cincinnati.
While driving Joan was talking to her kids about Hillen.
"You know your father and I were raised there, we became good friends since 6th grade. Your father really loved playing video games and he'll occasionally invites me and my brother over to play. He was also a huge football fan as because the Browns were the nearest NFL team near us he was a huge fan of them."
Mallory was too busy looking at social media on her phone, and Emma was asleep, so Huey was the only one who cared about what Joan was saying.
After three hours and 10 minutes they've finally arrived in Hillen.
The town wasn't exactly the coolest looking place out there as the some of the houses look pretty old. After a couple of minutes they reached their new home.
It was an apartment building that was colored with red and white, and it looked like it was newly built.
"You mean we're living in an apartment now?" Mallory asked Joan.
"Yes, I can't afford a house, so all of us are going to be living in an apartment from now on." Joan told her.
"I hate my life!" Mallory said to herself.
