Chapter 2: Miyoko’s warning

Ai jumped in her bed, covered with cute anime plushies and smiled at Me and Hinata. Hinata laughed and I just smiled back at her. 

“Wish I had a lot of plushies like that, I used to but they got destroyed in the asteroid,” I said. “Except….THIS ONE!!!!” I said pulling out my Nyan cat plushie, it was gray and fluffy, with a pink nose. 

Hinata seemed to show a sudden interest now, “I have some of my little sister’s plushies if you want to borrow them,” Hinata said. 

“Cool! Would your sister be okay with that?” I asked. “I don’t know, she died when the asteroid struck,” Hinata said, a tear falling from his eye. I felt bad for bringing up the topic of his sister, “oh, I am sorry,” I said. “It’s fine, it’s not your fault she is dead,” Hinata said.

“Okay, enough death talk, let me show you Miyoko’s room,” Ai said. Ai looked sad though as well. 

We all walked through the hallway silently until we reached Miyoko’s room. When we got in, the walls were a dark purple, her bed was queen-sized and the bed looked comfy. 

“I don’t understand why she hates it here, her room is awesome!” I whisper shouted to Hinata. Hinata just shrugged but blushed at me again, his green eyes staring into mine intensely, luckily Miyoko interrupted the awkward moment. 

“Kiko, I need to talk to you,” Miyoko said, she led me to her closet and opened the door to it so we could talk privately. 

“What is it?” I asked. “Don’t trust Hitori, she is not who she seems, escape if you can, this place is the worst,” Miyoko said mysteriously. 

I just nodded and I walked outside the closet. 

In the hallway Hinata asked me about what I talked about with Miyoko, “What did you talk about with the princess of darkness?” He joked. I told him that I didn’t know if I was allowed to tell him and he shut up about it. 

We then went over to meet Hitori, their boss and the one Miyoko warned me about. I was trembling but I tried to look confident since Hinata and Ai were around. When we walked into her room it had a very futuristic vibe, with black and teal colored furniture and a lot of tech. 

Hitori was sitting on a gaming chair, she had blonde hair and looked exactly like Ai, except that here clothes were more casual, she wore a leather jacket above a purple tank top and black leather pants while Ai wore a pink sundress. 

“Hello Kiko, my name is Hitori, I am the leader of this gang and Ai’s mother,” Hitori said, Ai looked a little nervous although Hitori seemed friendly. Then I understood why Ai was nervous

“You seriously wore THAT while recruiting Kiko? Ai, when will you learn to stop dressing like you are attending a wedding every day?” Hitori said. 

“Sorry mom,” Ai said. 

“Anyway Kiko, we are trying to bring the earth back to life again, rebuild destroyed buildings, help surviving animals, things like that, and we want you to help,” Hitori said, returning to her angelic sounding voice. 

We then left Hitori’s room.
