Chapter 15:

Protecting the mineral

The other side of the end

The ship with a team of scientists from the research center was cruising at sea. They were returning home.

Lien spent the entire trip next to the robot, studying it.

- "Did you learn anything from him?" - Kelis asked, slowly approaching Lien and the robot.

- "I was starting from your conclusions that he is an helper. And that is partly true," - Lien answered.

- "Partially?"

- "He cannot tell me anything. However, he understands perfectly well what I am telling him. And even more, he is able to make his own decisions based on the situation he finds himself in."

- "How then, in the elevator?"

- "Yes! It is as if he has to adapt to the circumstances and calculate what he can do."

- "It seems that he perceives you as one of his creators."

- "I think it is because I speak to him in the Xarak language."

In one of the cargo areas of the ship, Axel was spending time. She was sitting near the bags of tihirax and making calculations.

- "What are you doing?" - asked Nix.

- "I'm counting... how many kilograms of tihirax we will need to launch the time pillars if we plan to move the entire earth."

- "Do you think there will be enough here?"

- "There were no scales on the ship... so we'll just have to hope."

The ship's alarm went off. A red signal light flashed in all corners of the ship.

All the crew members hurried to go out on deck and see what was wrong.

The ship's captain was standing near the side and looking through binoculars into the distance of the sea. Having seen what he wanted, he handed the binoculars to Kelis. Kelis looked into them and saw a war fleet approaching their ship.

- “We couldn’t get through…,” - said the Captain.

- “Captain!” shouted one of the ship’s crew members.

The Captain stepped onto the bridge. He was called to listen to a message broadcast specifically for them: „In the name of the Big Ten Alliance, we call for the ship to be stopped immediately!”

- “As soon as we stop, they will board and confiscate all the tihirax,” - said Kelis.

- “Then we will make sure that does not happen!” - said the Captain.

- “We have the advantage... They will not shoot at us, so as not to sink the tihirax. They need it.”

- “Swim closer... Now it’s my turn,” - said Nix.

On the flagship of the warship, the Commander looked through binoculars at the ship with the tihirax. The ship stopped.

- “They stopped... What are we going to do?” - asked one of the officers.

The commander looked closely at the ship.

- "They are on a fishing vessel... The only thing they can use now is cunning... They are luring some of our ships to cover their retreat... They simply do not know about our harpoons. Let's pretend that we believed them."

At this time, on the ship with the mineral, the captain and Kelis were carefully watching the actions of the military fleet. They had just sent two of their ships to them.

- "Looks like they took the bait," - said the Captain.

- "Then we wait...," - said Kelis.

Two military ships began to approach them.

The entire team of scientists, Nix and his people and the ship's crew were in their places. The scientists were on board. And Nix's people were waiting in the towers and watching the two ships that were approaching.

The commander of the navy watched intently as his two ships approached the target they were pursuing.

- "As soon as you get close, immediately release the harpoons. After that, they will not be able to escape," the commander said into the radio.

Nix's men continued to watch closely in the towers as the two ships approached.

- "Not yet," - Nix said.

All his men listened attentively and waited for Nix's decisions.

- "Not yet," - Nix said, following the ships.

The ships sent were a few dozen meters from the ship with the crew.

- "Now!" - Nix shouted.

Nix's men opened the hatches on the ships. Cannons protruded from the hatches.

The officers on the two ships approaching the ship disguised as a fishing vessel looked at the cannons in fear.

- "Lie down!" - one of the officers shouted.

The cannons began to fire. However, the ammunition flew not at the two approaching ships, but at the main fleet behind them.

Most of the ammunition was aimed at the stern. Explosions from the hits thundered on the ships. Panic began among the crew.

- “Commander, they hit the propellers!” - one of the officers shouted.

- “Where do they get such accurate guns?” - the Commander said in surprise.

- “We need to open fire too, otherwise they will sink us?!” - one of the officers said in panic.

The captain looked at the ship with the mineral in shock.

- “We can’t, there is a risk of getting hit by our own…” - the Commander said.

The Commander clenched his fists.

- “They beat us…”

- “For the ships that can still sail, full ahead in the left direction! We will not let them escape. We will sail around them, strike so that they cannot move and catch them!”

The military fleet began to sail towards the ship with the tihirax from the other side.

- "Nix! They want to surround us!" - one of Nix's men shouted.

- "Then we'll fire another salvo!" - Kelis said confidently.

Explosions thundered on the ship with the tihirax. The ship shook, and Nix and his men fell to their feet.

- "What was that? They shouldn't have fired!" - one of the crew members began to ask in panic.

Nix began to climb onto the deck. The ship was shot at several more times. Nix fell but got up and climbed onto the deck. He saw one of his men looking through binoculars. Nix took the binoculars from him to see for himself what was happening.

From the other side of the sea, an armed ship with a flag depicting the sun around 8 planets was approaching their ship.

- “Waiting for the Rebirth…” - said Kelis, who had just approached Nix.

„The Rebirth cannot be undone. We have no right to run away from it! ” – came the sound of the attack ship’s loudspeaker.

- “They will definitely want to sink us, along with the tichirax…”

Another ammunition began to fly at the ship with the crew of Kelis and Nix. It had almost fallen onto the deck of the ship when a robot stood between the ammunition and the ship, taking the blow. From the impact, part of the robot's hull collapsed, and the gears inside became visible.

Lien looked in fear at the robot, which was trying to protect the ship with the tihirax.

- "Shoot at the attacking ship!" - Kelis shouted to Nix.

- "It won't work! It's beyond the range of our cannon system," - Nix replied.

Their ship continued to be fired upon by the Rebirth Awaiters ship. Lien watched this, and understood that he had to make a decision that would change the situation they found themselves in.

- "Gine aratio tu hey...," - Lien said to the robot.

Hearing Lien's words, the robot jumped off the ship straight into the water. Lien began to wait, looking at the Rebirth Awaiters ship. A few seconds later, the robot swam to their ship. Lien saw the robot climb onto their ship and tear it apart, destroying it.

After a while, the ship caught fire, and after a while it exploded.

Lien silently watched the sinking ship. He didn't like the fact that he had to tell the robot to destroy the ship.

The commander of the military fleet watched in horror as the robot sank an entire ship in such a short time.

- "We are retreating...," - the Commander said to his men.

The robot returned to the ship and climbed onto the deck to stand next to Lien. Raising his head, Lien looked sadly at the robot.
