“Shall we erase him?” another whispered.

“No. Let him struggle. Let him gather hope… and then, when it’s brightest—crush it.”

Ren stared at the sky. His eyes glowed faintly—one Void-black, the other shimmering like a dying star.

“Then we prepare,” Ren said. “If they’re coming… I’ll be ready.”
