First day of travel

First thing in the morning was waking up earlier, it was about 5 am when we decided to get up and started to prepare things to go out. We were cooking together and putting some drinks into a backpack.

“Do you want anything else, Evelyn?”

“I think we made enough with this, Azura, do you want something else?”

“Maybe some chocolates to snack around the way”

“I will put juice and water, is that good?”

“Maybe we should leave the juice and bring some coffee, is a bit chilly outside so it would keep us warm”

“I understand”

After dealing with the things we would bring to eat and drink, we decided to take a bath, first it was Evelyn and then me, she was wearing a white top with loose sleeves, long black pants and red sneakers, along with an open black sweater.

I dress myself with dark blue pants, a dark purple long shirt and a dark green jacket, wearing dark green sneakers. We made sure to have everything in order and clean, aside from the second floor of the house.

I took my keys, my cell phone and my wallet while Evelyn only got her sword in a red bag to carry it around without getting noticed.

We stepped outside the house and went out walking until we reached a bus stop.

“So, we are going to get into one of those giant things?”

“Yeah, it really makes life easier, you would see it in a moment”

The bus stopped in front of us and we got inside after paying, Evelyn was fascinated by it, she couldn’t stop looking around and asking me the purpose of a lot of the things that were there.

“So you can ask him to send you anywhere?”

“No, they actually have a route to follow, the city is a bit of a maze but you will get used to it, that is were we are going, but before get into the train to go in that place we should head to the bank”

“A bank?”

“Yeah, uhm… think is as the guild area, were you exchange your rewards after completing a mission”

“Oh! I get it, so what task did you complete?”

“Maybe this would be harder to explain than I thought…”

I tried to explain how the bank worked to Evelyn but I could notice her face being completely lost, her eyes were focusing on me and at the same time in nothing, her mouth was shut the entire time and she only smiled at me with her eyes wide open.

I couldn’t help but contain my laugh while she was trying to explain to me that she got it but that only made me laugh harder. As time passed and we were in the city, Evelyn didn’t let go of my hand, she was scared but I tried to calm her down.

But all of that went to the trash since a lot of people started to approach her and take pictures of her.

“Hey! Quit!”

“Don’t be mean, man, share a bit”

“Yeah, she’s a treasure”

“Hey babe, wanna go take some drinks?”

“Everyone is trying to get the shots of her, come on, Evelyn, let’s go”

“Uh… uhm…”

Evelyn just nodded at me while I was trying to get out of the small crowd that formed around her, after seeing how she was following me the guys just clicked their tongues and continued their way, that and because the policemen were starting to stop by it.

After taking a ticket we sit and wait for our turn to talk with someone in charge of exchanging gold.

“I can’t believe how they were trying to get you, those animals”

Evelyn laughed a bit and played with her fingers.

“I am scared of the city so I blocked myself back there, thank you, Azura”

“Don’t worry, it wasn’t your fault, I mean with someone as beautiful as you how will anybody not fall to your feet”

Evelyn didn’t say a word and I did not either, I am sure I was blushing and I didn’t want to look at her face right now, but we laughed after a bit and our turn finally came. When we sit down an old man was there and looked at us.

“What an unusual couple… where, what is the matter, you youngsters?”

“We came to exchange this piece, I want the money to be transferred to my account”

“Sure, let me have a look”

The moment the old man took the coin his hand went down and he looked a bit pale and sweat started to flow under his glasses, he took the coin and slowly put it in the balance and looked at me.

“Y-Young man, wouldn’t you be interested in investing in some of these with us instead of selling it?”

“What? No way, I need money”

“Y-You know how much this cost, and how much would you be able to do with us?”

“I said I don’t want to”

“B-but”

Evelyn hit the desk and looked at the old man getting close to him.

“Is there something wrong with the coin, because we can take it to another place if you don’t want it”

The old man shrieked and let out a sound like he was being pressed in the abdomen.

“Don’t scare him, Ev, he is just doing his work…”

“Ah, sorry… I was not trying to scare you, sir, sorry”

“Is… is okay… just… let me go do the exchange, I just need your number, Mister Hito”

“Sure, here”

I gave him a piece of paper and he left, I looked at Evelyn and pet her back.

“Don’t worry, you have just interacted with me, is normal that with other people you are rough with words”

“W-Was I really this bold a couple of weeks ago?”

“I’m glad you don’t use your sword, otherwise we would get arrested”

Evelyn held into her knees and look a bit gloomy while I was laughing

“Sorry…”

“It happens, cheer up, you just need practice”

The old man came and sat down, extending his hand, I took it and we both shook hands.

“A pleasure, Mister Hito, the transference is done”

“Great, thank you sir”

“Sorry again sir”

Evelyn bowed and the old man bowed himself and they started to apologize to each other until they both got dizzy, I laugh we when out of the bank and before going to the train station we went to have some sits to have some lunch, we eat and drink and as we were eating, another pair of man approach us.

“Hey babe”
“You really don’t give up, don’t you?”

“I’m not talking to you, skinny, get lost. Don’t you think, babe?”

“Stop calling me that”

“Eh?”

I much in a piece of chicken as Evelyn got up and exceeded the height of the dude that was trying to hit on her.

“You apologize to him right now, and then you get lost before I crush your bones…”

The dude apologized and ran away screaming monster girl.

“W-Was that too excessive?”

“That was perfect”

I laughed and started to pick up the bento boxes with the food to save them in the backpack.

“Those types of guys deserved that, don’t worry about them, even the people around agree”

Evelyn looked around and saw how people were holding their laughs and even other women did a thumbs up and Evelyn just followed her doing the same, then the girl screamed with her friend and continued their way.

“Let’s go, Ev”

“Yeah!”

We went to the train station and hopped on the train, sitting down and Ev was observing the window like a kid, looking at the ocean but she wasn’t containing herself, I touched her shoulder and told her to shut down her excitement since she was standing up more than before.

I pet her back and we observe in front of us, but she did something I did not expect, she whispered me in the ear

“The landscape is beautiful”

That made me jump a bit and let out a scream and then I put my hand in my mouth, Ev started to contain her laugh as I sat down again embarrassed and hit Ev with my elbow.

“Sorry hahaha sorry”

The train stopped at a stop and the sun was about to set, I looked at my phone and followed the route to the nearest hotel.

“Are we going to the cafe?”

“No, this time we are going to a place with more space”

“I see”

We entered the hotel and asked for a room and paid for it. We entered our room and Evelyn looked at how I opened the door with a card.

“What about the key?!”

“Surprised, aren't you? This is technology, Ev”

“Your world really has me without words…”

We took out some things out of our backs, we finished eating what we had and then we went to sleep, there was still another day of trip
