Prologue

Snow fell on the outskirts of The Crystal Empire. What was once The Crystal Empire. Now it was consumed in a layer of ice once more. The ponies talked.

‘The Empire was cursed’ they said. Of course it was under the ice this time in order to save it. In the worst of Solar/Lunar war The Crystal Empire an ally to The Solar Empire became a prime target for Princess Luna’s army. Princess Cadence in a last act of love put her kingdom on ice, so the ponies and culture could be protected from the war that now tore apart the rest of Equestria. Flash Sentry had quoted her last words, and final message being

‘The Crystal Empire was lost once. I will not let it be lost again. For as long as there is a Princess to love this Kingdom as I have The Crystal Empire will never truly know darkness again.’ The last thing the Crystal Guard had seen as he fled the Empire was the castle crumbling on top of Princess Mi Amore Cadenza as her husband Shining Armor held her, then the magic shield that enveloped them cracked. Princess Celestia had made many attempt to return The Crystal Empire to us, but they all failed. There was hope it would someday return thanks to Princess Cadence, but all of The Solar Empire mourned the loss of the royal family, and their Kingdom. Only four things survived the fall of The Crystal empire. Two crystal ponies, not even fully grown yet. Flash Sentry, and a mysterious, magic mirror Cadence had sent with him.
