"Welcome to Shishigami High School's yearly student check-up. Amamiya, from the journalism club, here! This is the segment where we interview students and get their takes on current school events! Joining me today is none other than the student council president... um, Spiky-Hair-senpai?"

"Amamiya-san... I have a name..."

"Right, well, Spiky-Hair-senpai and I will be going around talking about the current manga fiasco that's invaded our school! Follow me as we get the students take on the matter!"

"Amamiya-san... I have a n-"

"First up, we're interviewing a member of the manga club! Meguro Makoto-kun, the mysterious second-year student!"

"Whoa!.. I was not expecting... company..."

"Meguro-kun, what is it like working under the manga prodigy Kuromoto Nishi?"

"Kuromoto-senpai?.. It's... fulfilling... But the real prodigy is... Shina..."

"Shina? Who is Shina?"

"Tanaka Shina... the other second-year in the manga club..."

"Oh, Tanaka-san? That's right, Tanaka-san is going by Tan-Tan."

"If it isn't too much trouble... may I go back to my book?.."

"Ah, yes. Thank you for your time, Meguro-kun. Moving on, let's ask this gentleman about the recent success of Got Your Tail, Kuromoto Nishi and Tan-Tan's gag manga. Sir, please spare a few minutes."

"Huh? Did you call me sir? Amamiya-san, I'm your homeroom teacher."

"Now, sir, how do you feel about Got Your Tail, by Kuromoto Nishi?"

"Kuromoto-kun? He's a pretty intelligent former student of mine. Not to brag, but I'm the whole reason he became such a successful manga artist."

"Tetsunori-sensei, you aren't supposed to say that!"

"Oh, but it's true! Kuromoto-kun owes me big time! I'm something of a mentor to the young boy."

"Tetsunori-sensei... please, just answer the question."

"Got Your Tail is a brilliant manga. It's the internal struggles of the manga club portrayed directly on paper. Though, I did notice a familiar womanizing teacher character that makes me a little... upset."

"Spiky-Hair-senpai, cut the camera. This teacher is useless."

"Okay, action. Here, we're interviewing a student by the name of Fujisaki Matsuda. Fujisaki-kun, how do you feel about the Got Your Tail manga that the manga club has been publishing in J-Fantasy?"

"Personally, I think it's some of the funniest manga I've ever read. Long ago, I was rude and cruel toward the story writer. If you're listening, Tan-Tan, I want to apologize. I was immature and insecure about myself. Got Your Tail is a masterpiece, and I look forward to the release of Makeinu no Tōboe!"

"Oh, an unexpected revelation! This is a juicy scoop! Thank you for your time, Fujisaki-kun!"

"Amamiya from the journalism club, here! Who am I speaking with?"

"My name is Kawakami Yumi, I'm a first-year student!"

"Kawakami-san, have you read Got Your Tail?"

"I have! I even made my own fanzine doujin featuring the characters!"

"Oh, a hardcore fan! Please, tell us about your fanzine!"

"Well, it's a doujin, featuring the two male protagonists! They fall in love with each other, and-"

"Ah, Spiky-Hair-senpai, cut the camera!"

"That was a close call. We definitely can't put that kind of content in this video. Though, I am a bit curious... A-anyway, let's interview the next student. Excuse me, sir! Have you read Got Your Tail?"

"Read it? I helped create it."

"Whoa! You're in the manga club?! What's your name?"

"Sakai Akinari. I'm a third-year."

"Sakai-senpai, what's it like working with Kuromoto Nishi and Tan-Tan on Got Your Tail?"

"It's... horrible. Nishi forces us to stay up late at his house, yelling at us if we don't get the screen tone applied on time. He's an annoying perfectionist, and he even makes my girlfriend to pose for his sketches!"

"Oh my gosh! Sakai-senpai, are you telling the truth?! Is Kuromoto-senpai a perverted and abusive manga artist?!"

"Perverted?! Hell, no! He just thinks Minami's poses are easy to draw. Nishi and I go way back, but sometimes he gets on my nerves when it comes to drawing manga. Maybe, it just pisses me off that a Korean boy can make something so authentically Japanese."

"I-I see. Thank you for your time Sakai-senpai."

"Okay, Spiky-Hair-senpai, time for the next student. Excuse me, have you read Got Your Tail? It's being published in J-Fantasy."

"Got Your Tail? Hm, it sounds familiar. Is that the shoujo comedy about manga club members?"

"Indeed, it is! Did you know, it was actually created by the president of our school's manga club, Kuromoto Nishi?"

"Really? I had no idea. That's wild, our school has a real manga artist!"

"What are your thoughts on the series?"

"Well, it's pretty funny. Nothing special, but it has potential."

"Thank you for your insight!"

"We're here with the star athlete of Shishigami High School's all girls swim team! Yamaguchi Minami-senpai, I heard you're in the manga club?"

"I sure am! It's full of all of my best buddies! Especially Tan-Tan-chan, she's so cute!"

"That's fantastic! Can you tell us about the manga Got Your Tail?"

"Oh, Nishi's gag manga?! I love it! Nishi actually uses me as a model for the lead female character!"

"I see, so Sakai-senpai wasn't lying. Does he... make you pose nude?"

"Nude?! What the hell?! No, he just says I'm animated and cute when I pose!"

"What?! But, Sakai-senpai told us Kuromoto-senpai forces you to do crazy things while you pose."

"Haha! Aki is my boyfriend! He was probably just teasing you. Nishi and Aki are my childhood friends, they would never make me do something so wild!"

"Thank you for your information, Yamaguchi-senpai."

"Hello, there! I'm Amamiya from the journalism club. Would you spare a few minutes of your time?"

"Me? Um, sure. But, what does the journalism club want with me? I swear, she said it was just supposed to be karaoke! What happened after that was a spur of the moment-"

"Ah, stop! Stop, now! That's not what I'm here to talk about! Ahem, do you read manga?"

"Manga? Yeah, I love manga."

"Wonderful! Are you aware our very own Shishigami High School manga club has been publishing a gag manga in J-Fantasy over the past year?"

"You mean Got Your Tail? I love that series! Shout out to Kuromoto-senpai and Tan-Tan!"

"So you're familiar with it? That's great! How are you liking the series so far?"

"Man, it's badass! I saved every J-Fantasy magazine since its release date!"

"B-badass? I... suppose. Well, thank you for your information."

"Oh, Spiky-Hair-senpai, press record! I see Tanaka Shina!"

"Eek! What's happening?!"

"Sorry to startle you, Tanaka-san! I'm here to interview you about your manga with Kuromoto-senpai!"

"Nishi-senpai? You mean Got Your Tail?"

"Precisely! How does it feel, to be praised and recognized as a high school manga author?"

"Honestly, it's unreal. It's always been my dream to be a shoujo manga author, and Nishi-senpai helped me achieve my dream. Without him, I would never have made it this far."

"That's a pretty good story! Tell us more about your relationship with Kuromoto Nishi."

"M-my relationship?! Um... we're dating... and stuff..."

"Dating?! Oh my gosh, the two manga creators are dating!"

"Amamiya-san, please! It's embarrassing!"

"Sorry Tanaka-san, but I'm so excited for you!"

"I mean... we've been dating for a year now. It still feels unreal, every time he smiles at me I get butterflies. He's very special to me, since he was the first person to look past my height and at my heart. I've always been bullied for being short, and he was picked on for being a foreigner. Growing up, I was told I would never amount to anything by my peers. Nishi-senpai changed that by accepting me for who I really am."

"That's... such a deep story. Thank you for sharing, Tanaka-san. If you ever want to get coffee with me, I'd love to be your friend."

"Holy crap! It's Kuromoto Nishi, in the flesh! Spiky-Hair-senpai, record him!"

"What the hell?! I'm busy!"

"Sorry, Kuromoto-senpai! If you have a few minutes, would you be willing to let us interview you about Got Your Tail?"

"Oh, you want to talk about my manga? Why didn't you just say so. Go ahead, I'm all ears."

"Is it true you're using Yamaguchi Minami as a model for the lead female role?"

"Yup, I sure am. She's easy to draw, since she can mimic any pose."

"I see. Moving on, tell us about the creation of the manga."

"Well, last year I published a shoujo comedy one-shot to J-Fantasy. It ended up getting declined, but I pushed on. With the help of my friends, we made history by becoming Shishigami High School's first manga creators! I may be the first Korean high schooler to ever be published in a Japanese manga magazine. Pretty cool, right?"

"That's such an inspiring story! Any word on the release of Makeinu no Tōboe?"

"Hm... it's coming soon. I've been drawing chapters like crazy in my free time. Tan-Tan really knows how to write a great story. Look forward to my graduation! Once I'm out of high school, I'm going to shake the world with my manga!"

"And, that's all, folks! Amamiya from the journalism club, over and out!"

"That was a fulfilling day! I can't believe so many people are praising Got Your Tail! Hey, Spiky-Hair-senpai, are you still recording?!"

"Um, excuse me. Did I hear you mention Got Your Tail?"

"Oh, yes! I'm interviewing the students of Shishigami High School about the manga club's publishing series. Are you a teacher?"

"Well, I am a teacher; but I don't teach at this school. I work at Mizuya Elementary School. I'm just here to meet with my girlfriend; she's a mathematics teacher here."

"Oh? A yuri relationship! Do, tell!"

"Yuri? Ugh, you kids and your slang. Anyway, I heard you mention Got Your Tail."

"That's right! Did you know the creators are students here at Shishigami High School?"

"Indeed. I actually used to teach Tan-Tan at Mizuya. She was my favorite student. I'm so glad to see her fulfilling her dreams as a manga author. If you're watching this, Tan-Tan, I think that pen name fits you much better than Tanto. I hope Kuromoto Nishi is treating you well. If you're ever in the area, let's catch up over some coffee. Remember, the samurai's strongest weapon is their tanto blade!"
