Chapter 8:
High School The Mastermind
Not long after, Arga and Rakha arrived together. Both walked confidently wearing black suits with white shirts that looked elegant. Iyuna observed them carefully, already aware of their closeness from various interactions she'd often caught at school.
Sherin, who was frozen in place, suddenly turned toward Arga who was running toward her, his breath slightly ragged. "Have you been waiting long?" Arga asked awkwardly, his eyes widening as he took in Sherin's beauty, his fingers fidgeting with the edge of his suit jacket.
"Eh? Not really," Sherin replied coolly, brushing her hair behind her ear.
"You look beautiful today, Sherin," Arga complimented, trying to get her attention, his body leaning slightly forward.
"Thanks," Sherin answered briefly, her eyes avoiding Arga's gaze.
"Have you been waiting long?" Rakha asked, approaching Iyuna with calm yet slightly awkward steps.
"Yes, I've been waiting for 4 hours," Iyuna replied flatly, her arms folded across her chest.
Rakha startled, his shoulders tensing. "Huh? R-really?" he asked, his eyebrows furrowing with worry.
"Of course—" Iyuna answered, giving a dramatic pause.
"—Not. I'm just kidding," she continued, her fingers tracing through the hair falling at the side of her face.
Iyuna then looked at Rakha's face and smiled at him, her eyes sparkling warmly. "Well then, let's get started!" she invited him cheerfully, her hand lightly patting Rakha's arm.
Suddenly Rakha's eyes widened, he seemed enchanted by Iyuna's smile, his body seemingly frozen. "Uh? Y-yeah," he uttered hesitantly, his hand scratching the back of his head that wasn't actually itchy.
Arga watched Rakha and Iyuna from another direction, standing beside Sherin who was gracefully adjusting the folds of her dress. "I wonder why the cold Student Council President could fall in love with a girl like her? Did she pay him?" Arga monologued, tapping his shoes on the ground.
"Maybe, but yesterday Rakha-senpai said he would bring the girl he likes. Is Iyuna really the girl he likes? It doesn't seem possible that Rakha-senpai would like a girl like that," Arga monologued again, his forehead creasing deeply.
"Well, looking at her... Iyuna is quite pretty, and she has something that most other girls don't," Arga monologued, his eyes studying Iyuna's figure from a distance.
He then turned toward Sherin, trying to compare her with Iyuna, his eyes moving up and down appraisingly. "Even compared to Sherin's, Iyuna's chest is still much bigger. Maybe F cup? Or possibly G?" he monologued, swallowing hard.
"Does Rakha-senpai like girls with big chests? Ah whatever, why am I even thinking about this?" Arga monologued again, shaking his head to chase away that thought.
Iyuna then enthusiastically dragged Rakha into the park, her fingers gripping Rakha's arm tightly. "Come ooon, hurry up," she called out cheerfully, her steps bouncing slightly.
"Huh? Yeah yeah, let me walk on my own," said Rakha, trying to balance his dragged steps.
Sherin and Arga followed Iyuna and Rakha into the park, walking side by side with an awkward distance between them. Occasionally Arga tried to grab Sherin's hand, his fingers almost touching the girl's hand, but Sherin always avoided it with subtle movements, shifting her body away. Well, Sherin didn't like Arga; she was dating him so that he would join her study group. The only person Sherin loved at the moment was Eid.
"So? What do we do first?" Iyuna asked enthusiastically, tilting her head as she looked at the nervous Rakha, her eyes sparkling with hope.
"Umm, wait a moment. I'm a bit forgetful about the plan," said Rakha, glancing away, his fingers nervously stroking his chin. "Why is she so excited like this? Did she overdose on caffeine or something?" Rakha monologued, occasionally glancing at Iyuna who was fidgeting impatiently beside him.
"Hey! I knew you would forget! Let's go this way first," Arga shouted, pointing to the path beside him with a broad gesture.
"Where are we going?" asked Sherin, holding her dress skirt as the wind blew.
"We're going to a restaurant over there. We've already made reservations," answered Arga, his chin lifted proudly. "You haven't had breakfast yet, have you?" Arga asked, smiling kindly at Sherin, his body leaning slightly toward her.
"U-uh? No, I haven't," Sherin replied, her stomach growling softly. "This guy knows me too well," she monologued, looking away.
"Let's go!" Iyuna invited, while extending her hand to Rakha, her fingers wide open and waiting.
Rakha accepted her outstretched hand hesitantly, "Y-yes, let's go," then they both walked following Sherin and Arga hand in hand, their steps slightly awkward but trying to be synchronized.
Upon arriving at the intended restaurant, they sat across from each other at the reserved table and chairs. Iyuna looked around the room curiously, her head turning to observe every corner. And she stared at one of the bathrooms, her eyes narrowing calculatingly. Iyuna sat beside Rakha, across from Sherin. Meanwhile, Arga sat beside Sherin, across from Rakha, occasionally adjusting his sitting position to be closer to Sherin.
"Hey, come with me for a moment," Iyuna whispered to Rakha, her lips almost touching Rakha's ear.
Rakha turned, his eyebrows raised in confusion. "Where to?" he whispered, his eyes watching Iyuna who stood up and walked toward the bathroom with light but firm steps. Then Rakha followed her, pushing his chair back and rising with awkward movements. Meanwhile, Arga and Sherin were still engrossed in conversation, sitting close with their heads leaning toward each other.
After arriving, Rakha entered the bathroom (more precisely the front area of the bathroom), he leaned his body against the wall, his shoulders relaxed but his gaze alert, watching Iyuna who was washing her face at the sink, her fingers gently washing her pale face.
"Hey, why was your attitude earlier so different from usual? Did you consume something different this morning?" asked Rakha, his eyes narrowing suspiciously, his arms folded across his chest.
"No," Iyuna said flatly, turning off the faucet with a decisive movement.
"Huh?" Rakha muttered in surprise, his eyes wide open, his body suddenly straightening.
"What? She's back to her usual self?" Rakha monologued in confusion, his fingers anxiously rubbing the back of his neck.
Iyuna turned toward Rakha, looking straight at him with her cold eyes. "That was—" she said softly, taking a tissue to dry her face.
"—Just Acting," Iyuna replied flatly, throwing the tissue into the trash with precise movement.
