Chapter 13:
Making of a Goddess
After completely annihilating an entire forest's ecosystem, Rin decided it was time for a change of scenery.
She put on a basic cloak she found in her inventory (probably from one of the monsters she obliterated), pulled the hood low over her face, and headed toward civilization.
Three Days of Wandering (And Definitely Not Getting Lost)
The journey was... surprisingly peaceful.
No monsters attacked her. Not because they weren't there, but because the moment they sensed her presence, they turned the other way.
She passed by a few travelers and merchants along the road, carefully avoiding unnecessary attention.
She wanted to blend in.
Be normal.
For once.
And by the end of the third day, she finally reached her destination—
The Kingdom of Velthas.
First Step: Get Money Without Looking Suspicious
Rin's Infinite Inventory was overflowing with loot.
She had legendary-grade materials just casually sitting in there.
And she was broke.
So, she made her way to the Adventurers' Guild—the best place to sell high-quality monster drops.
The guild building was lively and loud, filled with armored warriors, mages, and archers.
No one paid much attention to her as she walked in—
Until she reached the reception desk.
A young receptionist, a girl with short brown hair and glasses, greeted her with a polite smile.
"Welcome to the Adventurers' Guild! How can I help you today?"
Rin cleared her throat, keeping her voice low and mysterious.
"...I'd like to sell some materials."
The receptionist nodded.
"Of course! Please place the items here, and I'll appraise them."
Rin reached into her inventory.
Alright, let's not go overboard.
She placed a single piece of Dragon-Scale Hide on the counter.
The receptionist glanced at it—
And then froze.
A few nearby adventurers looked over.
"...Um, miss," the receptionist said slowly. "This is... incredibly rare. Where did you—?"
"I found it," Rin interrupted.
The receptionist's eye twitched.
"...You just found dragon-scale hide?"
"Yes."
The receptionist looked doubtful.
But Rin wasn't done.
Next, she placed:
Apex Beast Meat x 5
Venomous Snake Fangs x 20
Mutant Core Crystals x 3
Each item increased the silence in the guild.
By the time she placed the Fang of the Last Predator down, the entire room was staring at her.
The receptionist swallowed hard.
"...I need to call the guild master."
Rin sighed.
So much for being normal.
