A rigorous Match

As Harada stood in the arena he took out a red bandana from his pocket he looks at it with a shimmer in his eyes and then ties it on his forehead.

"Alright let's get this match started, BEGIN!" Shouted the instructor.

Kane infused magic to his revolvers, while Harada infused the Ninjatō in the scabbard with his magic as well.

The tension was broken by Kane making the first move, making rapid-fire shots at Harada. that did not stop Harada as he moved forward quickly while deflecting the bullets.

As Harada went in for the strike to Kane, Kane jumped in the still shooting, but Harada was up to the challenge, turning quickly to deflect Kanes Shots.

"You are not bad." Said Kane.

" You neither you are very good with those revolvers."Answered Harada.

" Yea it took a while to master them." Replied Kane.

" though you may be good you got bad luck getting chosen to face me," Kane then said in a confident tone

"We'll see about that," Harada replied motivated by Kane's words

" Magic bullet!!"Shouted Kane 

The bullets all traveled in different directions but they all came at sublime accuracy towards Harada, He couldn't dodge or deflect them all thus he got hit by all of them.

"AhAhAh!"Harada shouted as he flew back to the wall of the arena.

When he got up slowly there were bruises all over his body.

"You haven't had enough," Kane said in an arrogant tone.

Kane used  Magic bullet repeatedly knocking Harada back, He could barely stand.

"You know I could say the same thing about you getting unlucky by facing me," Harada said with resolve.

"What do you even mean your the one bruised and bleeding," Kane replied

"Because of this dream, I want to achieve not just for myself but to make this world a better place for the people care about," Confidently stated Harada with a little smile on his face.

"I will end it with this last round of shots," he shouted

As the bullets traveled to Harada, Harada gracefully dodge them he then charged at Kane and yelled

"special technique Crescent moon strike!" 

Harada's blade sliced through Kane with an arch of a crescent moon.

Kane dropped to the ground unable to move while Harada was on his knees exhausted.

"How am I not able to move," Kane asked frustratingly.

"Crescent is a move which paralyzes its opponent for a set time using lightning magic, it's more effective against strong opponents to using their magic against them." Answered Harada.

"The match is over the winner is Harada." Declared Instructor Shizu.

Just as Harada was getting up he fell back unconscious onto the arena ground.

4 Hours Later

"Uh! Where am I," Inquired Harada in an uncommon room to him?

"You are in the school infirmary," answered a mysterious male voice.

"Ahah! everything hurts," wailed Harada in pain.

" Everything hurts because you stupidly took all those bullets infused with magic on your body, that was stupid and reckless and became mentally exhausted," explained the man

"So are you the doctor ?" He asked.

"That's none of your business, I have already done what I came here to do you should, you should rest here for now kid." the man advised as he left the room.

'Wonder who he was' thought, Harada.

30 Minutes Later

"Thanks, Doc I feel better now," commented Harada

"It's no problem, I just used some healing magic to alleviate some of the exhaustion all you need is some rest, and you will be fine." 

"Also, the instructor told me to tell you the notification of who would be accepted would be sent in a week so be patient." the Doctor informed.

As Harada exited the infirmity he was met by a familiar face.

"Kai what are you doing here," Harada asked surprised to see him here.

" I am here because there is something I want to ask you," Kai replied in a serious tone.

The atmosphere between the two was serious.

"I can see what your trying to say is serious so I am all ears," Replied Harada

"Do you prefer pineapple on pizza or not if you answer wrongly there will be dire consequences," Kai inquired.

"Huhuhu!! is that what you came to ask me," replied Harada

"yes, it's an important matter because....."

"Because?"

".......We are going for pizza to celebrate surviving the test," Kai answered in his normal tone.

" If so what was with the serious atmosphere then," Harada implied

"I was just yanking your chain, or was I," Kai said in a teasing voice.

"I could do with some Pizza but not for too long though," answered Harada.

Both Harada and Kai used the Novtech shuttles to travel downtown to the Pizzarea Joel.

"So this is Pizzarea Joel?" Harada asked

"Yup, they just recently opened so there are not that many customers," Kai answered 

"Your back again today Kai and you have a new face with you." Implied the man with the chef outfit with an Italian accent.

"Yea Mr.Joel this is Harada we were both participants in the Kakumei High entrance exam," Kai replied.

"Well nice to meet you." 

"Same here Mr.Joel."

"Now that we are all acquainted, why don't you give us the special but not too big we will only be here for a while Mr.Joel," Kai asked.

"Coming right up just take a seat  I will bring it over."

"So what is the special you asked for just now Kai," asked Harada 

"It's a special pizza that helps with magic energy recovery, Mr. Joel has a  special way of making that's what he told me," Kai  replied

" Well, I hope it hits the spot, by the way, what happened in the other matches while I was out?"

"They were some good matches but there were Four Applicants that stood out the most to me,"

"Who were they?"

"The first is a girl named Emma Bret who used plant style magic to immobilize her opponent, she also uses a bow as well, then there is Augusto Yero with his hand to hand combat and explosive speed......"

" Here is the special pizza you two ordered enjoy."

"Thanks, sir," replied both Harada and Kai. 

"I will continue as we eat, the other two were the most impressive. Soga Rie was impressive using her fire magic to go on the attack causing her opponent to submit under the pressure she almost had the same feel as Crystal Winterfield.

"Wow, that impressive," 

" And the one that impressed me the most was you, Harada," 

" How did I impress you," Harada asked

"It was your tenacity in the fight and also that final move was so exquisite," Kai replied.

"Wow, I didn't think it was that impressive but thanks,"

"Ohh look at the time it's getting late, I have to go."

" Ohhh yeah, I have to get home quick as well, lets exchange message info," Harada stated.

" Ok let us stay in contact and hope we make the cut," Kai replied. 

"Yea."

As the sun goes down Harada takes the shuttle back to his home, with his conversation of Kai still on his mind.

Harada arrives in his neighborhood, opening the door to a white painted house as he enters the house his nose is filled with a savory aroma.

'She must be cooking something good tonight it is our 2nd day back on the man-made island off the coast of Japan and we didn't get to do much yesterday so that is expected.' 

when Harada entered the kitchen he was met with the sight of a girl cooking, she had light brown hair like Harada's with her's being longer than his with the same Hazel eye color.

"Your Home big brother," stated the girl with a smile on her face.

"Yea Sara sorry I am late I was just hanging out with another applicant I met, I should have met you at the shuttle station after you finish school since it was your first day sorry," Harada replied.

"That's okay I got home fine from school without any trouble."

" I know you are a very independent girl for a 3rd-year junior high student, but still you have to be careful" Harada implied.

" I know that's why I asked the neighbor's son to help direct me since we go to the same school as me." 

" Well, I will have to go over there and give them my thanks in the hope we get along as good neighbors."

" I will go with you when you do big bro."

"Let's have dinner now Sara and we will talk about each other day,"

" Ok," Sara replied.
