Chapter 709: Continuation of the Deity of Sun’s First Trial

Narrator: We now return back to when Zaydra and Keith were in the middle of their first trial created by the Deity of Suns, named Solen. Zaydra, Keith, and Maiyo (Zaydra’s rival) have been fighting Solen’s fire clones for a while.

A fire clone tries to punch Zaydra, but she backflips continuously to dodge and put herself in position to attack a fire clone behind her. She charges her leg with magic energy as she backflips. Once the fire clone behind her is in range, she horizontally kicks it. Magic energy is dispersed when the kick hits it. The energy disrupts the fire and prevents it from regenerating its body. Zaydra lands on her hands and pushes off the floor to do a twirl in the air so that she can land back on her feet. Once she does land, she smiles confidently.

Zaydra: “Too easy! I’m really getting the hang of this now!”

In another part of the room, Maiyo spins in place while using his metal magic to turn his hands into large metal mallets. He charges magic into the mallets and continuously slams them into fire clones surrounding him. Due to the speed at which the mallets continuously hit the fire clones, they are unable to regenerate and start to dissipate.

Maiyo stops his spin and finishes with a sort of salute that he sticks his index and middle fingers up together near his forehead.

Maiyo: “Hmhm. Indeed, I have overcome these clones.”

In another part of the room, Keith (in his demon form) is running with a group of fire clones chasing him.

Keith: “I see that I have a lot of fans! How about I buy you all a drink?”

Keith charges his magic energy and spreads out his arms as he forms a wavy bulk of red energy in between them. He grins.

Keith: “In fact… Have a drink of this!”

Keith turns around and releases the wide wave of red energy. The clones try to repel the attack by throwing sun balls at it. However, with the wave so wide, some of it goes through portals that Keith activates. As the wave fights against the sun balls, a handful of other portals open up surrounding the clones, and more parts of the red energy wave exit through the portals.

Keith: “And clap!”

The waves smash into all of the fire clones from all sides and destroy them.

Keith: “How about that? I modified my Demonic Burial Cannon attack and created a new way of using it. I call it the Demonic Burial Wave!

Solen watches on, he looks at them as if he were a proud father.

Solen: “Yes, very good.”

Solen claps his hands together.

Solen: “One final part to this trial!”

All of the remaining fire clones stop pursuing Zaydra, Maiyo, and Keith. They all run into each other and combine into one large clone that is about 20 feet tall.

Solen: “I want the three of you to work together and take down this last clone to finish off this trial.”

Zaydra starts running toward the clone while confidently smiling.

Zaydra: “Not a problem!”

Maiyo also runs in the direction of the large clone with a similar smile.

Maiyo: “Yes, one last performance for this trial! It will be magnificent!”

Keith opens a portal in front of himself while smiling with his mouth wide open.

Keith: “I left just the portal perfect for this!”

Zaydra jumps and starts punching and kicking the middle section of the clone’s body with magic energy being expelled from each one.

Maiyo starts spinning while he jumps and uses his metal mallet hands to repeatedly bash every other part of the clone’s body. He lands on the floor and holds his right arm up with both his index and middle fingers pointed up, smiling proudly.

A Demonic Burial Wave releases out from a portal just above the top of the clone’s body. It engulfs what is left of the clone’s body and finishes destroying it. Keith drops out of that portal onto the floor afterward.

Zaydra: (Smiling victoriously) “That was fast.”

Maiyo: (Smiling with the right side of his teeth showing) “I did say it would be a magnificent performance.”

Keith: “One worthy of a drink, I’d say.”

Solen begins clapping in applause.

Solen: “Truly excellent! After a week of trying, you all have completed the first trial.”

Narrator: The first trial comes to an end!
