Chapter 4:

The Birth of Luna!

He Turned into a She!

The principal sent the boy out of the school office and called Ethan over the loudspeakers to come to the office.

Meanwhile, the principal asked Leo to fill out some forms and bring some documents for her registration. But if she wrote her name as Leo Carter, it would cause problems—Leo was the name she used when she was a boy, not now that she had become a girl.

As the principal hesitated holding the pen over the paper, he loudly said,
“Girl! Where is your head at? Don’t you want to register in our school?”

Leo was startled but tried to stay calm and shyly answered,
“Sorry… but if you allow me, I want to fill out these forms when Ethan arrives.”

The principal was surprised.
“I don’t understand what you mean or what’s going on in your head,” he said again in a spoiled tone, “but you’re really cute!”

Leo felt a bit sick inside because she wasn’t acting spoiled with her very girly and sweet appearance—but this old principal with his long white beard was acting spoiled instead.

About five minutes passed, and Ethan entered the principal’s office. When he first saw Leo, he was a little scared but stepped forward.

The principal started speaking to Ethan in his usual cold tone,
“Ethan, your relative wants to register with these docu—”

Leo jumped in,
“Sorry, please let me consult with Ethan for a moment.” She smiled sweetly, winning the principal’s heart, “That’s why I didn’t fill out the forms. You know Ethan is older than me.”

The boy inside Leo was frying like a potato in hot oil from embarrassment because of her move. In her mind, it went like this:
“I was once the big boss of this school. Half the boys here used to kneel in front of me. Now, with this situation, I’m acting all spoiled—God! What have you done to me???”

The principal, whose smile had stretched again to under his eyes, replied,
“Why not? Go ahead and consult, but come back quickly!”

Leo and Ethan left the office and sat a few steps away in an empty classroom.

Ethan smirked and looked at Leo,
“So, you learned to use your girl side for sneaky tricks, huh?” His face tightened. “But when I remember there’s a boy behind that face, it just makes me feel sick.”

Leo blushed and nervously answered,
“I definitely don’t want to act like this, but if I didn’t do this, the principal might not have accepted me.”

She suddenly remembered she had forgotten something…
“By the way, Ethan, I made up a story for the principal, so you should know what’s going on.”

She told him the story and explained all the lies.

“And in the end, we have to overcome two problems…”

Ethan’s brain got tangled.
“What exactly problems do we have to solve?”

“Well, I need a new name and identification documents for registration, right?”

Ethan almost had a small stroke.

“And besides that…” She took a deep breath, “I have to sleep in the girls’ dorm.”

Ethan returned to normal.
“That’s obvious. Did you expect to stay with me like this?” He smirked. “Are you trying to take our friendship to the next level or what???”

Leo stood up from her chair, her face messed up,
“It doesn’t matter. We just need to pick a name now. Getting the new ID is your job.” She took a deep breath. “In this situation, I don’t have any other friends or acquaintances except you.”

She got really close to Ethan’s face, almost shy,
“Ethan, please, please don’t tell anyone about this. Keep it a secret for the sake of our 10 years of friendship!”

Ethan got serious,
“Don’t worry, Luna.”

Leo was shocked.
“Luna? That’s your new name. I think it’s really close to your old one, isn’t it?”

Leo paused for a moment—this new name felt strange to her but after thinking a bit, she nodded.

“Alright then, Luna, let’s go! It’s time to start your first day of school!”

The two of them left the classroom and went into the principal’s office. With some sweet talk, Leo (Luna) managed to buy more time from the principal to delay submitting her new ID.

And so, at Vellmere Boarding School, she began her studies as a girl student!
