Chapter 9:

Chapter 9

Crazy About You

"This is scary," Amilda said, holding on to Aayan.

"You don't have to be scared of her when I am alive," Aayan said in a boastful way, making Amilda smile.

They heard a knock on the door and looked at each other.

"Who can it be?" Amilda asked.

"I guess my brother," Aayan said.

Amilda immediately ran to the door before Aayan could stand up.

She was holding what they could use to open the door, so she opened the door.

It was her aunt, and this made her move back.

"And what are you doing here at this time of the day?" Muni asked, looking at Amilda, who stood fixed.

"Nothing!" Amilda said and was about to move out of the room.

Aayan pulled her back as she was about to leave the room, and she fell on him.

Muni looked at Aayan and smiled.

"Never mind, I can do it with Amilda being here." She said, and Amilda looked in shock.

Amilda got up from Aayan and looked at her aunt.

"You can't do this while I am here." She said, and Muni scoffed.

"Where did you get that courage from?" Muni asked, but Amilda didn't answer.

Muni moved closer to them and pulled Amilda away.

Amilda struggled with her little strength and overpowered Muni.

Muni looked at the both of them and then left.

Aayan smiled and hugged Amilda, then placed a kiss on her lips.

"I love you, Aayan." She said.

"I also love you," Aayan said.

They both sat down on the bed and locked the door.

They kept discussing other things.

Minutes later, the door was opened after Aayan promised to provide a lock to Amilda's room, as she feared that her aunt might kill her while she was asleep.

"Thank you so much," Amilda said, hugging Aayan.

Opening the door, they saw blood on the ground, and Aayan opened his mouth as he felt that Muni had injured his brother.

Amilda looked at a paper in front of the blood and pointed Aayan to it.

"What could be inside?" He wondered.

He walked across the blood and picked up the paper, then walked back to Amilda.

Amilda took in a deep breath as Aayan opened the paper.

"Be watchful." He saw written on the paper.

He held Amilda's hand and walked out of the room.

The only person he could think of right now is his brother. He hopes he hasn't been hurt.

He, along with Amilda, ran to his room and knocked on his door, but he didn't answer, which made Amilda sad.

"What could have happened to him?" She asked.

Aayan looked at her and shook his head as he couldn't hide his emotions.

"Let's go." He said.

"Where?" Amilda asked.

"Look for Muni." He said and she nodded.

They began to search the house for Muni and finally found her in the kitchen.

She smiled and looked at them immediately after they entered the kitchen.

"Welcome." She said to them, smiling.

"Where is my brother?" Aayan asked.

Muni laughed after hearing Aayan.

"I guess he is still in his room." She said. "I know you would have seen the blood in front of your room. Don't be scared, it is not your brother's blood, but I would advise you to abide by my rules if you don't want your brother's blood to spill."

Aayan looked at her, then at Amilda, who nodded.

"Okay," Aayan said with a sniffle.

"Amilda," Muni called. "I will want you to go to your room."

Amilda looked at Aayan, who nodded.

"Alright." She said and left for her room.

Aayan cleared his throat and Muni laughed.

"You also should go into your room." Muni said and Aayan left.

In Amilda's room, she saw her luggage already packed.

She knew that it was packed by her aunt, but couldn't understand why her aunt didn't let her know about it.

She thought of going into Aayan's room, then thought against it as she remembered that her aunt had given them her warning.

"What if she forces herself on Aayan?" She asked herself and sat on the bed.

An hour later, she could hear her father's voice.

She walked out of her room to greet her father.

Aayan also walked out of his room and greeted her father, who ignored his greeting. He greeted again, but the same thing happened, so Aayan decided to keep to himself.

Amilda tried to talk to her father to reply to Aayan's greeting, but to no avail.

Sahil came out of his room and greeted Amilda's father, who greeted them back.

They discussed for some hours, and then he declared that he had come to take his daughter back home.

Aayan took a deep breath as he could now understand why he didn't reply to his greetings and who could be behind this.

Amilda looked at Aayan, and her father held her hand.

"It's over." Her father said, and tears trickled down her face.

"Alright, Father." She said, looking at Aayan, who nodded his head.

She walked into her room to pick up her luggage.

As she touched her bag, she felt Aayan's hand on her waist.

"You will be out of your aunt's life, no, and I am so happy she won't easily harm you." He said.

"What about yours and your brother's safety?" She asked.

"I won't allow any negative thing to happen to him, likewise my brother." He said and she nodded.

"Alright. I would like you to visit me once before leaving." Amilda said.

"Yes, my love." He said and led her out of the room.

Her father looked at Aayan as he walked beside Amilda.

"Why is it that I don't seem to believe what my sister said about him?" He thought. "But my sister can't be lying. Amilda even said that he did that to her the last time she came home."

His thoughts were interrupted by Amilda.

"I am ready, Father." She said.

Her father smiled and stretched his hand to her.

She smiled and held her father's hand, and together, they bade everyone goodbye and then left the house.

Aayan looked at his brother, who shook his head, and then they retired to the room.

Muni looked at the two men and laughed.

"Aayan, you can't be with her anymore." She said. "Sahil, you will have to leave here without Aayan."

"Impossible." Both men said and left for their rooms.

On the way to her house, Amilda stared at her father, whose focus was on the road.

"Father!" She called, and he looked at her.

"Yes, Amilda." He answered and concentrated on the road.

"Why didn't you reply to Aayan's greeting?" She asked.

Her father looked at her and imagined if it was his daughter who asked that question. He felt sorry for not giving heed to his daughter when she told him about not liking Aayan, but here she is, asking him for his reason for not replying to Aayan.

"I am sorry for not believing you the last time." He said, and Amilda shook her head.

She thought about letting her father know that she loves Aayan, but thought against it.

"Okay, father." She said and closed her eyes.

Hours later, the car came to a stop, and Amilda could see her mother waving to her.

She opened the door of the car and ran out to meet her mother. She was so happy to see her mother again.

She remembered the last discussion she had with her mother and smiled.

"I am out of the cage, Mom." She said, and her mom ruffled her head.

"Yes, you are. You will no longer be assaulted sexually ever again." Her mother said.

Amilda faked a smile hearing what her mother said.

"Mom, I would like to discuss something with you, but not now." She said, and her mom smiled.

Amilda left her room and went into her room.

Her father had already bought in her loads while she busied herself talking to her mother.

She looked around her room with a smile on her face.

She lay on her bed, closing her eyes.

She smiled while she closed her eyes, as all that was in her mind was Aayan.

"How is he going to come to visit me when my parents believe what Aunt Muni told them." She thought and opened her eyes.

"I will try getting mother to believe me." She said to herself.

She rested for a while, then went out to meet her mother.

Sumitra smiled, seeing her daughter.

"What would you like to have?" She asked and Amilda smiled.

"I am not hungry, Mom." She said, taking her seat.

"What would you like to say to me?" Sumitra asked, referring to the conversation, her daughter said she would like to have with her.

"Mom, I will let you know about it tomorrow," Amilda said, and her mother nodded.

"Alright," Sumitra said, replying to her daughter.

They sat together discussing other things.

Sumitra expressed how she always feels in the house whenever her husband leaves for his workplace leaving her.
