“A blade does not fear battle. It fears rust. Just as a heart does not fear war... it fears silence.”— Master Kazutora

[Scene: Hidden Training Grounds – Valley of the Whispering Blades]
The valley echoed with the sound of steel meeting steel. Training dummies exploded under magical impact. A firestorm swirled. Renjiro stood in the center, his sword glowing with unstable flames.
> Renjiro (gritting teeth):“No control. It’s still consuming me…”
The Flame of Silence, the cursed fire bound to his soul, surged violently. It responded to emotions—especially the ones he kept buried.
His love for Amiya. His guilt. His silence.
> “This power... it listens to my heart. And my heart won’t stop screaming her name.”
---
[Scene: Amiya’s Quarters – Dawn]
Amiya sat by her window, fingers tracing the ribbon Renjiro had returned. Her eyes watched the wind—but her thoughts wandered.
> Amiya (thinking):“He’s always there. Protecting. Bleeding. Burning. And yet... I don’t know how to reach him.”
A soft knock interrupted her thoughts.
> Voice:“Lady Amiya, the High Guardians request your presence at the Mirror Chamber.”
---
[Scene: Mirror Chamber – Temple of Light and Shadow]
The chamber shimmered with ancient magic. Within its center hovered the Mirror of Thousand Fates, a relic that showed glimpses of possible futures.
Amiya stood before it.
The mirror flickered. In one reflection, she stood beside Renjiro, hand in hand, a peaceful world behind them.
In another—he was dying in her arms, the world in ruin, a black sword through his chest.
> Mirror Spirit (echoing):“Fate has two hands. One creates peace. The other, pain. Which will you choose, daughter of light?”
Amiya looked away, voice trembling.
> Amiya:“I... don’t know what he feels. And I don’t know what I feel... without him.”
---
[Scene: Midnight – Forest of Cracked Stars]
Renjiro ventured deep into the cursed woods, following reports of a dark entity awakening. His breath fogged as the temperature dropped unnaturally.
A sudden growl echoed.
> Shadow Beast (emerging):“Bearer of the Flame... your heart is fractured. Let me break it fully.”
The creature lunged. Renjiro met it with a fiery slash—but it wasn’t enough. The beast morphed, feeding on his emotions.
> Renjiro (panting):“You... feel everything I bury, don’t you?”
> Beast:“Love. Regret. Longing. Silence. Delicious.”
Suddenly, his sword burned brighter—his flame flared wild and blue.
> Renjiro (yelling):“She’s the reason I fight! And she’ll never know!”
BOOM. The entire forest ignited in white-blue fire.
When the smoke cleared, Renjiro stood barely conscious, sword plunged into the ground. The shadow beast had vanished—but his heart ached even more.
---
[Scene: Council Chambers – Aftermath Meeting]
> Kazutora:“The Flame responded again... to unstable emotion.”
Elder Hana:“It’s dangerous. If Renjiro cannot master it—he may destroy not only himself, but the balance of peace.”
Amiya overheard. Her hands trembled.
> Amiya (whispering):“What if... I’m the one hurting him the most?”
---
[Scene: Final Scene – Bridge of Falling Petals]
Amiya found him sitting alone at the bridge where cherry blossoms always fell, even when no trees grew.
> Amiya:“Why didn’t you tell me…? About the Flame. About what it’s doing to you.”
Renjiro didn’t meet her gaze.
> Renjiro:“Because your eyes are filled with hope. And mine are filled with fire.”
She sat beside him. The silence between them cracked the night.
> Amiya:“What would happen... if I asked you to stay alive for me?”
Renjiro’s hands shook.
> Renjiro:“Then I’d fight every demon. Every god. Every fate… and burn everything just to walk by your side.”
> Amiya (quietly):“Then stay. Just for tonight.”
He didn’t hold her hand. She didn’t confess.
But for one night, their souls sat closer than they ever had before.
