She Doesn’t Look Like a Girl at All!

Luna and Nina were standing with Ethan by the entrance of the girls’ dorm. Ethan was lost in thought, wondering if maybe it was better to tell Nina the truth so she could help Luna.

“Nina! Maybe there’s something you should know… I think…”

Nina looked at Ethan excitedly. “Know what??? What do I need to know?? Are you in love with me? Sorry, but I’m already in love with Lu…..… someone else.”

Ethan gave a forced smile, understanding what Nina really meant in his mind. I hope you like his true identity too!

He took a step closer to Nina and Luna.

“Nina, please keep an eye on her… It’s her first time living away from family.”

Luna forced a smile, but it was clear she wanted to tear Ethan apart.

Nina gave a thumbs-up. “Of course!! I’ll take care of her like a sister!” Then she quickly hugged Luna tightly.

“Good to see Luna’s in good hands with you, Nina…” Ethan said as he started walking away. “See you both in class tomorrow!!” and headed toward the boys’ dorm.

From a distance, Luna watched Ethan. She didn’t like the space between them…

“After living ten years with that idiot, today’s the first day I actually feel homesick…”

Suddenly, Nina grabbed Luna’s chest playfully and spoke teasingly…

“Well Luna, time to head to our room!”

She let go and took Luna’s hand, leading her toward Nina’s room.

When Luna entered Nina’s room for the first time, her eyes went wide…

It was completely the opposite of the shared room she had with Ethan!

A bunk bed, both beds neat and clean, the floor spotless!

A tidy desk with some makeup on it!

And a clean window looking out.

In the middle of the room, Nina looked at Luna with a smile…

“Do you like this room?”

Luna was still frozen.

“Oh, by the way, which bunk do you prefer? I usually sleep on the bottom.”

Luna adjusted herself.

“Either is fine, I can sleep on the top.”

Nina smiled at her…

“Now it’s time to sleep,” her smile grew bigger. “We better check out the supplies!”

Luna looked at Nina surprised and a bit scared.

“What do you mean?? Which supplies? What exactly are we supposed to do??”

Nina answered with that same smile…

“No, not that kind of stuff! What did you think???”

Then she got a bit more serious.

“Aren’t you excited to try on the clothes you bought? Come on!” She grabbed the shopping bag from Luna and took out some underwear.

“Here! Put these on! It’s bedtime, and after class tomorrow, we’ll try the rest.”

“Wait, are we supposed to wear these to sleep?”

Nina looked a little suspicious.

“Luna? You’re acting strange! All girls have to wear these all day long!”

Luna almost freaked out. “All day???”

“You can wear a t-shirt or something over them to sleep, but I only sleep in these because it’s cooler for me.”

Luna gave in. If she was going to be here, she had to do these things.

“Nina… Honestly, I’ve never worn these before. I haven’t really done many of the things girls do. Please help me be a better girl!”

Nina got a little sad, looking worried.

“What do you mean? Why don’t you know these simple things?”

“The reason… maybe I’ll tell you later. For now, come teach me how to put these on…”

Nina helped Luna put on the underwear and taught her some tricks.

Nina lay down on the bottom bunk, Luna on the top…

The lights were off, darkness filled the room, and the sound of crickets echoed in the night.

“Nina! You still awake?”

“Yeah, I’m awake, but I might fall asleep any second now,” she laughed.

“Nina, you’re a good girl, but what about the other girls in the dorm? I don’t really know much about the other students here.”

“Well, the boys in school are mostly harmless, except for a couple of them. The girls are mostly nice, but there’s a group that bullies the others.”

“What do you mean by bullying? Who are they?”

“Well… there’s a group of about eight boys whose leader is in a relationship with the leader of the girls’ bullying group.” She took a deep breath. “There’s a boy too… well, there was. I haven’t seen him since two days ago.”

She choked up. “The name of the girl who leads that group is Scarlett… She used to be a simple girl who didn’t bother anyone. But when she started dating that boy, the leader of the boys’ gang, Derek, she completely changed! She was fighting with everyone and bullying everyone… but the first time Scarlett had a problem with me was when she wanted me to join them to bully others. I refused, so she bullied me every day.” She almost cried. “No one dared to stand up to her, not even the principal because she was dating Derek! Some boys tried to stop her, but Derek and his group beat them up. In the end, it was just me and Scarlett’s problem.”

Luna, knowing the story was from Leo’s point of view, replied to Nina.

“So? What happened next?”

Nina continued with the same sad voice.

“Things stayed the same, they bullied me every day, mocked me, until one day I accidentally bumped into Ethan while he was eating. He spilled his lunch but said nothing. That’s how he and I met.” She added, “There was another boy sitting next to him, he looked very cold…”

“I apologized to Ethan and went to get him something to eat to replace the spilled lunch because it was my fault. At that moment, Scarlett and her boyfriend Derek and a few of their followers blocked me, they wanted me to buy something for them instead… Derek was such an asshole that he slapped me right then and there…”

“I was trying not to cry but couldn’t hold it......i closed my eyes for a bit and cried”

“In that moment when i opened my eyes, Scarlett and Derek were both on the ground, their faces swollen… Leo and Ethan, fearless, beat them up. No one dared fight Derek but those two did… after that, Derek and Scarlett left everyone alone because they were scared of Leo and Ethan… they were more afraid of Leo than anyone else…”

“So you’re saying this peace you have now is thanks to those two?”

Nina wiped her tears.

“That’s not the point! Now that Leo isn’t here, who knows what might happen… Ethan alone can’t stand up to them…”

Luna smiled.

“Don’t worry, Ethan has the ability to protect those he cares about. That’s the one good thing I’m sure about!”
