Too soon

As he takes the thing off Nika's hair, she jumps slightly but then thanks him, and says he scared her a bit there. She then grabs her jacket and says to Oliver lead the way.

As both of them are walking alongside eachother Nika strikes up a conversation and tells him she's glad they were going to the nightclub and that she always wanted to go there with someone special.

Oliver blushes intensly, and says tells her to stop while looking away with shyness. He then says: "I'm not special" and clears his throat.

As both of them enter the nightclub, the music playing outloud, Nika is amazed by the place, the flashing lights, the music, the people. Everything felt different for her, for any reason.

Nika then turns to Oliver with eyes glistening and asks: "Want to dance?"

Before he could give any answer she pulls him to the middle of the crowd and starts to dance like no one is watching. She is just feeling the beat of the music, without caring about anything else.

Then, she turns her back to Oliver, leans a bit forward and starts to slightly shake her hips. She tells him to lift her dress up, because she wanted to feel the air on her skin.

Oliver sighs and tells her: "I think you had too much alcohol, control yourself Nika." While putting his hand on his own face.

After that, Oliver thinks it might be better if they leave, so, they do so. As they are leaving, Nika is slightly stumbling, as the alcohol as hit her now, she then grabs herself onto Oliver to not fall. She then starts laughing loudly and asks: "hey... I'm not THAT drunk, am I? What do you think?"

Oliver replies honestly: "Yes. Yes you are. You are a lot." He sighs and adds: "It's fine, you said you don't drink and made an exception for today... But you had too much..." He then suggests: "How about this, I take you to your home, let you refresh a bit and then we meet tomorrow. How does that sound?"

Nika is slightly sad, but understands it. However, she then asks for one last thing.

Oliver sighs and says: "Fine, what is it?" She leans in closer and asks: "Can you... kiss me? Just a small one, as a goodbye?" With puppy eyes.

Oliver then blushes a lot and starts stuttering : "I-I, umm... W-we... W-w-we..."

"Oh come on" she says. Nika asks if he's mad at her now just because she asked for it. She apologizes if she got out of control, however, she promises that she would make up for it if he kissed her now. She's now leaning ever closer to his face. Oliver keeps hesitating, so, she puts her hand on his cheek and says: "It's ok, we don't have to do anything you don't want to." She then adds up: "But... I really like you. And I mean it." "Also, I thought we were having a good time" she adds.

Oliver says: "We are having a great time. But..." He sighs deeply then adds: " It's just too soon, ok?"

She then slightly pulls away, while looking down to her hands while fidgeting with the fabric of her dress. She says that she thought they had a connection, and that she truly likes him. She looks up at him, with her eyes shining with unshed tears. "And yes, maybe I am a bit tipsy, but that doesn't make these feelings any less real." She adds.

Nika takes a deep breath to gather her courage and says: "I've never been this forward, but I really, really like you." She looks at him earnestly and adds that the drinks she had just helped her gather her courage to tell him how she felt. "Please don't push me away now." Says Nika.

Oliver is shook by these words that just came out of Nika's mouth. He looks down with guilt and says: "I'm not pushing you away Nika, it's just... I don't know." Oliver then let's out a sigh and apologizes.

She sees Oliver's vulnerability in his eyes, so, while gently touching his arm, she repeats herself and says one more time that she likes him. She likes him a lot.

"We... Just met..." Oliver says with a uncertain tone, exhaling. "I'll go home now, I need some time to think." He gets up, grabs his wallet, and says: "See you tomorrow at the park at 6PM"

As he turns around, Nika's expression turns to a surprised one, visibly happy by knowing that Oliver isn't mad at her for being too forward.

So, as the next day comes, Nika sends him a text message...

hey guys! author here, i just wanted to say that this first "arc" (i wouldn't call it an arc i just don't know how to call it lol) is over, this one is just for us to get to know Nika's and Oliver's dynamics, and from now on, expect the "true story" to come. we will get more characters and some development ofc. Also, this next "arc" is one of my favourites, if not the most favourite. I call it the "Park Date". Basic? Yeah. Amazing? Yes. (I hope so lol). Also, if you would like, in the next chapter i can add some random stuff about the characters if yall would like, like a "wiki" or smth like that lmao.
