Chapter 6:

Chapter Six

seigneur du crime de haut rang

Mr. Karman stood calmly and said, "It seems we've finally arrived at the desired station."

The train pulled slowly onto the platform, dim lights illuminating the cold, silent atmosphere.

The police officers quickly approached Pierre, who offered no resistance. He was arrested amidst the passengers' looks of relief and surprise.

Everyone began to get off the train, whispers echoing among the passengers about the end of the case.

Mr. Karman approached Jean-Claude and Lieutenant Duval and smiled. "It was a pleasure working with you. I believe justice has been served today."

Jean-Claude replied with a calm smile. "The honor is ours, Mr. Karman. Our cooperation was key."

As they prepared to disembark, a young woman with her baby in her arms bumped into Jean-Claude's side. She smiled at him gently and politely apologized. "Sir, I apologize for disturbing you."

Jean-Claude quickly bent down to help her gather the things that had fallen out of her bag. As he picked something up, she whispered in his ear, her voice clearly challenging:

"Goodbye, Detective Jean-Claude... We'll meet later."

He paused for a moment, then added with provocative boldness:

"But before you go, would you accept my invitation? Don't embarrass me. I want to see you at midnight, at La Rose Blanche restaurant on the Grand Place."

She smiled mysteriously, as if offering a challenge that couldn't be refused.

Jean-Claude looked at her confidently and replied politely in Belgian:

"Merci beaucoup, madame. Je vous souhaite tout le bonheur."

Then he added, in a Chinese farewell:

"再见 (Zàijiàn)!"

Then in English:

"Goodbye and take care."

And finally in French:

"Au revoir, et bonne chance."

The woman smiled tenderly and nodded goodbye, as everyone disappeared into the station crowd, leaving behind a mysterious story that has yet to end.
