Chapter 1:
Collapse of the Gods
Seated around a circular table made of black marble were the sun, sea and earth gods in complete silence. All had human bodies with silver and gold colored flax robes covering everything but their hands and heads. The sea god’s octopus head had his tentacles making subtle twitching movements. His eyes were blinking constantly and disappearing then reappearing in new locations on their face. The earth goddess was strongly dilating and contracting their nostrils from her ox head as they breathed, each time she exhaled a cloud of dense dust came strongly out of their nose. The sun goddess thought “They must be really annoyed at me. My siblings only do those ticks when they are trying to not lose their cool”.
A few more minutes passed in silence, the sea and the earth gods still looking intensively at the Sun Goddess while she tried to avoid their sight. The Sun Goddess exhaled in frustration from its falcon face covered in golden feathers and said “My siblings, please stop looking at me with those eyes. I don't intend to avoid doing my part of the plan, I would gain nothing from it besides angering you both. See, I have already finished the designs for the new vasal gods. Making the bodies and animating them shouldn't take me as much time”. The Sun Goddess opened her hand as she said that last phrase, from the palm of her hand appeared spores of light which came together to form diagrams of several bodies. The Sun Goddesscontinued “When they come to life I'll take them to the world you two have so magnanimously created.”
The sea god looked at the earth goddess with a serious look and then replied as their eyes stopped blinking and focused entirely on the Sun Goddess“Don’t forget to bring them to us as you finish them so they can declare their servitude to us all. If they are designed as intended, that's something they SHOULD want to do as soon as they meet us”. The sun goddess replied “Of course my dear siblings!”. The earth and sea gods looked at the Sun Goddess incredulously. The sun goddess gulped with tension, her feathers standing up and the light surrounding her flickering every so often. Then, she spoke “If for my failings any of them comes up rebellious, I myself will prepare them to be branded by you two”.
