Chapter 0:
Generic Story
My name is Pedro, and I’m the protagonist of this story — whether I like it or not.
It all began in the most cliché way possible: I died. Stabbed in the street while heading home from school. A tragic ending, right? Only, it wasn’t the end. I didn’t wake up in another world, no fantasy kingdom, no slime powers, no cheat codes. I woke up right back in my own reality, on the same street where I bled out.
Turns out, the prince of the underworld — Lucifer himself, or “Lu” as I started calling him — had taken a peculiar interest in me. He sent assassins to kill me, not just for fun, but as part of an ancient method known as Spiritual Battle: two souls fighting within a single body to claim it. Lu’s plan was to take over mine.
But, here’s the thing — I cheated. I knew I couldn’t win a fair fight against the heir to Hell, so I bent the rules, twisted the system, and somehow, I won. Lu lost.
Well… sort of.
I’m still alive. But now I carry his powers. I became the strongest being on Earth — and, to make things more complicated, Lu is still inside me. Sharing this body. Giving me tips on demon magic, drinking cachaça through my mouth, and occasionally taking control to hit the local bars.
So yeah… I’m technically also the next ruler of Hell.
Boring story, huh?
Let me at least introduce the cast of this weird mess.
There’s me: once an ordinary high schooler with brown hair, brown eyes, glasses, and an overall unremarkable life. After merging with Lu, though? White hair, yellow eyes, a shredded body, perfect vision — which, frankly, makes wearing headphones a lot easier. I like music, video games, and watching my favorite soccer team, Alvingro FC — named after a French founder who supported a black-and-white team somewhere out there, even if I spent more time screaming at the players than actually cheering them on.
Then there’s Lu himself. Tall, muscular, stupidly handsome, with white hair, yellow eyes, and curved horns sprouting from his head — the full demon package. He’s the one who teaches me how to use my powers. He likes booze, black magic books (mostly to laugh at them), and — for some unknown reason — golf. Yeah, golf. The only person I know who watches it is a literal demon, go figure.
Lilith is Lu’s top follower. She looks around my age, has short blue hair, horns, and strength that defies logic. She’s into soap operas, anime, and junk food. And unfortunately is currently living in my house. Imagine a demonic magical girl with a telenovela addiction — that’s Lilith.
And then there’s my crew from school.
Juliano is probably the smartest and most grounded guy I know. Don’t let his sketchy looks fool you — he’s sharp enough to tell when I’m in control or when it’s Lu. Chill to talk to, dependable as hell and one of the few humans that Lu actually respects.
Caetano is our resident rockstar, the guitarist for a band called D.S.T. — short for Determined Sound Trash. Yeah, the name’s a dumb joke, but surprisingly, their music’s actually pretty good. Good enough that they’ve built a decent fanbase. He’s a little slow, kinda spacey, but overall, a solid guy.
And finally, Fernando. He’s on the basketball team — benchwarmer, but still acts like a star. Kind of a jerk, but handsome and loaded, so the girls in our class cling to him like flies to honey. Says he has a mysterious girlfriend, though we’re all pretty sure he made her up just to avoid the drama. Underneath the cocky exterior, though, he’s surprisingly cultured. Reads a lot, watches old movies from the '60s and '70s, and speaks like a walking poetry book.
These are the characters you'll be seeing more of as the story unfolds — spoiler-free, of course. I wouldn’t be dumb enough to ruin the magic of my own adventure by giving away everything up front.
I hope you have fun reading this mess of a story :)
