Darkstar and Goldenstar's past, Part 1

Ravenfeather walked in on her laughing like crazy, "Um... Darkstar, are you okay?" He asked, "Yes, Ravenfeather, I'm fine." Darkstar answered, "Um... then why did you say you were banished from TideClan or something like that?" he asked again, Darkstar took a deep breath, 

"...I haven't told you this, have I?" she asked, "No..." Ravenfeather answered.

...22 moons ago... 

 Shade(Darkstar) was wandering through the forest with her sister, Gold(Goldenstar), they were giggling, but then suddenly, Gold fell in the lake and her nor her sister knew how to swim. Shade tried to help her, but heard pawsteps and she quickly hid in a bush. A gray apprentice bounded up to the lake, then saw Gold drowning, then jumped in and swam after the drowning cat, Shade observed carefully. Then the cat got Gold out, Gold's face turned into a tomato once she saw his face, 

"Hi! Why were you trying to drown in the lake?" The cat asked,

"Ummmm... b-because I'm dying for you?" Gold said in a flattered voice, her face getting redder,

"Well, don't try to 'die for me' alright? Anyway, my name's Tidepaw!" Tidepaw said proudly, "Who are you?" He asked,

"...Um... Gold..." Gold said, Tidepaw saw her pelt shining like gold in the sunlight, "The name really does suit you!" He said, then mumbled, "I wish my mother chose a name that suited me..." Tidepaw grumbled, 

"The name fits you... because... you know how to swim... and you saved me........" Gold mumbled quietly, then Tidepaw blushed, "Um... I have an offer... would you like to join TideClan...?" Tidepaw asked, "Y-yes." Gold answered, then Shade stepped out of the bush, Tidepaw jumped, then Shade asked if she could join too, Tidepaw hesitated, "Um.... okay..." Tidepaw muttered.

Then Ashflower, Tidepaw's mentor, ran up to him, "TIDEPAW! STOP RUNNING OFF FROM ME!" Ashflower hissed, "Sorry, also, could these 2 cats join our clan?" Tidepaw asked, pointing to the 2 sisters, "Um... Tidepaw, you will have to ask your father..." Ashflower reminded him, then Tidepaw's ears and tail drooped, then they perked up, "THEN I'LL ASK HIM!" He meowed, bolting off to camp, Shade and Gold ran after him, Ashflower slapped her forehead and ran after them.

Larkstar and Irisflower were in their den, when their son bounded in, "MOM, DAD, I NEED TO ASK- well, SHOW YOU SOMETHING!!!!" Tidepaw yelled, so loud that everyone heard it through camp, Larkstar sighed, then got up, "Okay." He said, then Tidepaw bolted out of the den, Larkstar followed him, then saw 2 rouges in his clans' camp, "TIDEPAW, WHY ARE THERE-" he shouted, then Tidepaw cut him off, "Gold and this other rouge wanted to join TideClan." Tidepaw said,

"......O-okay...?" Larkstar said, then leapt upon the high rock, "Let all cats who are old enough to swim and catch their own fish, gather under the great rock!" He said, cats started arriving, 

"We have 2 new cats joining our ranks, Gold and... um, whatever your name is, step forward!" Larkstar yowled, Gold and Shade stepped forward, Shade was full of pride, "Whatever-your-name-is, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Darkpaw!" Larkstar said, then Darkpaw's smile faded slowly, then stared at the ground, disappointed with her name, "Gold, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Goldenpaw." Larkstar said, Goldenpaw beamed,

That stung Darkpaw's heart like a knife, but she ignored it, 

'Mom and dad would've wanted Goldenpaw to be special... I won't ruin that for her...'
