Darkstar and Goldenstar's past, Part 2

Darkpaw looked at her sister's face, full of joy, that seemed to be the only thing that made Darkpaw a little bit happy.

Goldenpaw looked back at her sister, her eyes shining, but Darkpaw looked closer into her sister's eyes, and felt like she saw the future. She saw that her sister would betray her, 

Darkpaw shook her head and ignored it and smiled at Goldenpaw, but her smile didn't reach her eyes. Goldenpaw got worried, and asked Darkpaw if she was okay, Darkpaw nodded quietly, then walked away.

...7 moons later... Goldenpaw was always praised for everything, while her sister lived in her shadow. Larkstar leapt onto the high rock,

"LET ALL CATS WHO ARE OLD ENOUGH TO SWIM, GATHER UNDER THE GREAT ROCK!" He yowled, cats arrived, Goldenpaw tried to sit next to Darkpaw, but Darkpaw moved away.

Goldenpaw felt sad, "Today, we have 2 new warriors, Goldenpaw, step forward!" Larkstar meowed, Goldenpaw stepped forward, 

"Goldenpaw, do you vow to uphold the warrior code and protect the clan... even at the cost of your life?" Larkstar yowled, his pupils slitting, "I do." Goldenpaw mewed, 

"Then by the power of StarClan, I shall give you your warrior name! Goldenpaw, you will be known as Goldenshade." Larkstar declared, "Darkpaw... step forward." Larkstar said to Darkpaw in a dry tone, Darkpaw felt hurt, but stepped forward,

"Do you vow to uphold the warrior code and protect the clan... even at the cost of your life?" Larkstar asked, Darkpaw didn't hesitate, "I do." She said calmly, "Then by the power of StarClan, I shall give you your warrior name! You shall be known as Darkshade." Larkstar declared, Darkshade was confused, "My sister already has that suffix..." She said, but Larkstar ignored her.

"GOLDENSHADE! DARKSHADE! GOLDENSHADE! DARKSHADE!" The cats yowled in unison.

Darkshade felt disappointed, and left camp, her sister followed her, then Goldenshade found Darkshade crying in a random den outside of camp. 

"Darkshade... are you okay?" Goldenshade asked, Darkshade immediately stopped crying and poked her head up then hissed, "Go away..." Darkshade hissed.

"Shade... I'm only trying to help you..." Goldenshade said, worried if Darkshade was fine or not, 

"I'M FINE!" Darkshade got up and marched right up to her sister, "NOW LEAVE." Darkshade said in a raspy voice. Goldenshade was surprised, She didn't know what she did to make Darkshade so angry, but did as she was told, and left.
