Episode 11

-In the Middle of Afternoon Classes-

“Ayumi, Jin told me something about your clubroom.” Iori whispered to her seatmate, Ayumi, quietly so Ms. Harley wouldn’t reprimand them.

The third-year students are having their Literature Class right now, so Ms. Harley is discussing their lesson at the moment.

“I knew the student council president had to know something about the ghost.” Ayumi whispered back

“Wait a second. Ghost? He only told me someone died there.”

“Indeed, someone did die there, and she turned into a ghost bound in that very room.” Ayumi quickly shut up when she caught Ms. Harley’s eye as she pretended she was taking notes during the discussion.

And so, Ayumi wrote a note and passed it to Iori because they are close to getting caught for being noisy. The note says:

“Lily, the ghost, told us to find her first love since she thinks her first love is the main root of her regret. Her first love's name is Aaydan Ast-something. She doesn’t recall the whole name, but it’s a big clue.”

When Iori reads the note, the ghost’s first love’s name somehow feels familiar to her. Then a thought came to mind. ‘Isn’t that the name of our school’s-‘

“Alright, let’s get on with the quiz about our previous discussion.” Just like that, Ms. Harley dropped a bomb on her students, not giving them much time to think

-School Infirmary-

When Veena got hit by a ball right to her head, that made her pass out. The teacher quickly ordered a male student to carry her to the school infirmary. Shion and Angi couldn’t follow her since the teacher said the male student was enough.

As they arrived at the School Infirmary, the male student lay Veena down on the bed and waited for the school nurse to show up.

After a few more minutes, Veena woke up with a groan, her head was aching in pain.

“Am I dead?” Veena bluntly said, and the male student watching her laughed out loud, startling Veena.

“Hahaha! Don’t be dramatic, you’re not dead. You just got hit by a ball directly to your head. Honestly, I thought you were going to have amnesia because of the big impact. I’m Julius Litch, I’m the one who carried you to the infirmary. I’m a second-year student in Class Two.”

The male student introduced himself to Veena, and Veena found something strange about this. ‘If he’s a second year, then why is he in the gymnasium?’ Veena said her thoughts out loud unknowingly.

“The teacher just gave me an errand to pass on the papers for your PE teacher. I didn’t expect I’d get another errand by carrying you here.” Julius explained as he scratched his cheek.

“I’m sorry about that, and thank you for carrying me, I must be heavy.” Veena said as she rubbed her head and found out there was a bump making her groan in pain.

“No problem! You’re light as a feather.” Julius flashed a smile, and for some reason, for a moment, Veena got dazzled by his smile that the pain wasn’t as painful as before.

“How about you? What’s your name?”

“Veena Bisha Mon”

It took a few minutes before the school nurse arrived. He came into the infirmary with a lollipop in his mouth and some papers he got from the faculty. Julius left Veena, seeing how the school nurse had already arrived.

When the school nurse came to check up on Veena, Veena wondered what the name of their school nurse so she checked the name tag. It says:

‘Aaydan Astaroth’

Somehow, Veena got a familiar feeling with that name. Where did she hear it from?

“Why are you so quiet? Is the pain unbearable? Do you want a lollipop?” Sir Aaydan said, worried about the student to the point he offered his lollipops

Then Veena figured it out.

“AAAHHH!”

She pointed at Sir Aaydan and couldn’t help but shout in surprise

It was the name of Lily’s first love! The school nurse is Lily’s first love!

It’s already Friday, and this whole ghost incident is almost over. Now that the club members found out it was the school nurse who would help the ghost move on.

“Don’t you think you’re taking too much lollipop and candy from our very kind school nurse?” Ayumi asked her best friend, who was busy unwrapping another lollipop to eat. That was already the third lollipop, and the day just started

The two best friends are on their way to school as usual. Ayumi proudly noted that Veena finally memorized the way to school.

“It’s fine! Sir Aaydan doesn’t mind. Besides, he has an unlimited supply of lollipops and candies.” Veena said as she waved her hand as if it were not a big deal

“Is the bump on your head still there? Gosh, I can’t take my eyes off you for a second. It’s like you’re a magnet for getting hit.” Ayumi facepalmed

“It’s nearly gone. It was just an accident, but the students who were playing with the ball apologized to me right after I left the infirmary.”

They finally arrived at the school gate and met the student council members who were doing their duty of checking the dress code and those who were late.

The student council members who are on duty today are the Vice President and the Secretary

“Good morning, Ayumi and Veena! As usual, there are no problems with your uniforms today.” Iori greeted them with a smile

“Good morning, Iori! You want some candy?” Veena greeted back as she showed various kinds of candy to Iori

“I’ll take the peppermint flavor, please. Also, I think this is the first time you guys have met our student council secretary.” Iori took the peppermint flavored candy from Veena’s hand and pulled her fellow student council member closer to her, who was hiding behind her back this whole time.

“Hello. I’m Jie Ann Astaroth. I’m a third-year student in Class Two.” Jie introduced herself as she bowed her head for respect.

“Astaroth? Does that mean-“ Ayumi realized the striking resemblance between the secretary and the school nurse

“It's just as you thought. She’s our school nurse’s little sister.” Iori said what Veena and Ayumi were thinking as she patted Jie’s head

“Wow! That’s so cool. By the way, I thought it was Jin’s turn of duty today, together with you? What happened to him?” Ayumi asked Iori, whose face slowly filled with irritation

“That goofball forgot to check the files I sent to him yesterday, so I had him work on it this morning.” Iori explained and clenched her fist

“You’re always so strict with him, Iori. Poor Prez, poor Jin.” Jie said as she turned her head sideways, showing pity for the student council president.

“Well, he deserves it!” Iori said back.

The first few classes ended, and it’s now recess time. All members of the club gathered again in the clubroom.

“So, how did you die?” Veena asked Lily point-blank. Veena specifically asked her now that she noticed everyone is done with their snacks.

“It was a stupid death. Even the Grim Reaper couldn’t laugh at me.” Lily said with a sigh

“How so?” Ayumi asked and propped her chin in the palm of her right hand.

“I tripped on a power cord, then bumped my head on a chair, snapping my neck.” Lily explained with a shrug that made the rest of the members gasp in horror

“I wouldn’t call it stupid. It’s rather gruesome.” Angi said, and noticed Ze patted Shion’s head to calm her down.

“On a side note, you said you found Aaydan, right? Oh my! He must have grown into a fine man.” Lily beamed in delight. The sudden change in mood was appalling.

“But wait, the freshmen aside, how come the upperclassmen didn’t know Lily’s first love is our school nurse?” Shion raised a question, and the upperclassmen members looked at each other and simultaneously said:

“We don’t get sick, so we didn’t get a chance to meet the school nurse.”

“Huh…That’s lucky?” Shion was surprised by the fact that her upperclassmen are fit as a fiddle

“Before recess ends, can you please explain what happened between you and our school nurse? What do you mean ‘he’s the reason you got into the school’ ?” Veena asked the important question. ‘Let’s get this over with so that Lily can move on and rest in peace.’ Veena thought.

“It all started when I was reviewing for the entrance exam for AWU Academy.” Lily started her explanation and the AWU Alliance members listened to her attentively
