Chapter 495:
En Passant Grandmaster
While Mimoko and Kuon had their intense brawl, the game on board 4 opened with Agatha moving her pawn to e4 and Iori moving her pawn to a5.
"What? Is that a misstep already?" Agatha giggled as she moved her knight to c3.
"Nope, it's a big fuck you!" Iori grinned as she slammed her rook down on a6.
"Pft, AHAHAHAHAHA! A 'fuck you'!? To who, you or me!?" Agatha laughed as she captured the rook at a6 with her bishop.
"To you, dipshit, or should I say bald shit," Iori snickered as she captured the bishop at a6 with her knight.
"As if! You sacrificed a rook for a bishop, something only a fool like my late mother would do," Agatha scoffed as she moved her knight to f3.
"Oh yeah, the one Oki-kun wrecked while you pissed your panties like a bitch," Iori snickered as she moved her pawn to e6.
"I DID NOT WET MYSELF THEN!" Agatha fumed as she castled king's side.
"Yeah, yeah, probably did and won't admit it," Iori mockingly shrugged as she moved her knight to e7.
Agatha gritted her teeth as she moved her pawn to d4. "When this ends, I'll bring you to Interpol hogtied and shaved. Naked too," she glared as Iori moved her knight to g6.
"Oo, that makes things easy. So you're saying you got Interpol by the puppet strings?" Iori asked as Agatha moved her bishop to g5.
"I inherited all the entities my mother ruled over when she died, so... Hmm, think Interpol's American branch was included... All I really care about are the political parties and domestic government. International problems are for piling on Elenora's desk," Agatha shrugged as Iori moved her pawn to f6. "Although, you did break our Pewler toy. It really cost a lot to make him, so you are at the top of the shit list for killing him and making our domestic conquest that much harder," she glared as she moved her bishop to e3.
"Hold on, you're saying you made the ponytailed fuck!?" Iori gasped as she moved her bishop to e7.
"Surprised!? That was one of my secret projects I did behind mother's back! We built him from scratch in a laboratory, and even managed to integrate the chip the WWCF executive board members have into his system in a more natural manner, thus he was able to gain nothing but advantages while not suffering any side-effects. That coot at the WWCF even gave us some funding, as all he cares about is chess, chess, chess, doesn't matter if the person's good or bad as long as they're good at chess!" Agatha cackled as she moved her pawn to h3.
"But clearly, he had buyers remorse, otherwise he wouldn't have tasked me with killing him," Iori smirked as she moved her pawn to d5.
"Only because Pewler wasn't engaging in pointless chess matches to endanger his position. And wait, I thought you quit killing!" Agatha fumed as she captured the pawn at d5 with her e-pawn.
"DESPER matches don't count as murder. Besides, all I did was beat him in a game of chess. The DESPER handled the execution bit," Iori snickered as she captured the pawn at d5 with her e-pawn.
"Well... Guess back in the day before laws were a thing murder wasn't a crime. Eh, I never follow the law anyway so who cares," Agatha shrugged as she moved her queen to d3.
"But in this day and age, chess is the law. You loe this game, MY CHANNEL LOGO AND SNS LINKS GET INKED ON BOTH YOUR ASSCHEEKS!" Iori manically laughed as she castled king's side.
"Y- YOU WOULDN'T DARE! DESPERS AREN'T EVEN ACTIVE!" Agatha stammered as she moved her pawn to a3.
"Hey look, you played Oki-kun's move," Iori taunted as she moved her pawn to f5.
"THAT SHIT DOESN'T OWN ANY SPECIFIC MOVE ON THE BOARD!" Agatha tearfully shouted as she moved her a-rook to e1.
"Oki-kun really does live rent-free in your head," Iori smirked as she moved her pawn to f4.
"DOES NOT!" Agatha retorted as she moved her bishop to d2.
"Does so!" Iori clapped back as she moved her pawn to c6.
"Ngh, he doesn't scare me," Agatha trembled as she moved her knight to e2.
"Hmm? Then how about we also ink his and my laughing faces on the back if that bald head of yours!?" Iori grinned as she moved her pawn to a4.
"No, No, and HELL NO! I'll retract the Interpol bet if that's what it takes to get that bet off the table!" Agtaha shuddered as she moved her queen to c3.
"Thought you said there weren't DESPERs, or is this some secret hidden power?" Iori taunted as she moved her bishop to d6.
"You know how Redfield can be!" Agatha scowled as she moved her pawn to b3.
"Hmm... In that case, scratch the head tattoos," Iori sighed as she moved her knight to c7.
"Really?" Agatha smiled as she captured the pawn at a4 with her b-pawn.
"Yeah, instead you can get me n' Oki-kun French kissing inked on both your boobs!" Iori laughed as she slammed her knight down on h4.
"YOU WOULDN'T DARE!" Agatha shrieked as she moved her king to h1.
"Why wouldn't I? I can't kill you off, but since you contributed to Oki-kun suffering, you should suffer to until you're killed off," Iori glared as she captured the knight at f3 with her knight.
Agatha clicked her tongue in frustration before a malevolent and unsettling smile overtook her face. "That's cute. You act all tough, but have you forgotten? You're losing," she chuckled as she captured the knight at f3 with her queen.
What Agatha said was true; Iori was at a disadvantage, and she knew it too.
"Shit, she didn't fall for that. This can't be THAT bad, but still, I don't wanna have to ruin the perfect sweep with a draw," Iori thought as she moved her knight to e6.
But ask and you shall receive, as Agatha's next move of pawn a5 gave Iori the chance she needed. With an even more malicious grin plastered on her face than Agatha's, Iori moved her knight to g5.
"Nice try, but your act won't phase me," Agatha sneered as she moved her queen to h5.
"What act? I'm winning," Iori grinned as she moved her knight to e4.
"No, you're not," Agatha glared as she moved her bishop to b4.
Iori simply shrugged and moved her pawn to f3. Agatha also went silent as she moved her knight to g3, and while she still felt confident about things, there was a sinking feeling in the back of her mind that things might be turning against her, intensified by Iori's play of pawn g6 forcing her queen to h6.
Pawn c5 put Agatha at a crossroads, which she ultimately decided to answer by capturing the knight at e4 with her knight.
"Wow, guess you hate bishops too," Iori snickered as she moved her bishop to f4.
"I actually hate knights more. Bishops can't smother you. As for my favorite, it's me, the queen. Check!" Agatha shouted as she captured the rook at f8 with her queen.
"Lol, you just sacked a queen for a rook," Iori scoffed as she captured the queen at f8 with her queen.
"It's strategic! And to counter your earlier allegation, I use my bishops to their full potential," Agatha huffed as she captured the pawn at c5 with her bishop.
"And I my pawns. Check!" Iori grinned as she captured the pawn at g2 with her f-pawn.
Agatha glared and captured said pawn with her king.
"Check again! Oh wait, looks like I'm the one sacking bishops not you. Guess that makes me a better witch than you!" Iori taunted as she captured the pawn at h3 with her bishop.
"Oh will you SHUT UP!?" Agatha fumed as she captured the bishop at h3 with her king.
"Lol, no. Check," Iori snickered as she moved her queen to f5.
Agatha gritted her teeth harder and moved her king to h4. "WAIT NO!" she cried as terror instantly overtook her face.
"TOO LATE! CHECKMATE!" Iori laughed as she moved her queen to h5, winning the game.
Agatha instantly went white as a sheet as she feinted and fell out of her chair, hitting the ground with a dull thud as she foamed at the mouth. Japan had drawn first blood and led 1-0, keeping the hopes of a perfect sweep alive and well.
"One down, and 3 to go. I did my part, now you all do yours," Iori smirked as she leaned back in her chair.
...
Back at the hotel, Okisato finally managed to track down Ginji.
"Oki-chwan, you're going to miss your disqualification ceremony," Ginji taunted.
"No I'm not. I'm cancelling it on the spot!" Okisato glared as he whipped out his DESPER key and pointed it at Ginji.
Ginji scowled in annoyance as his DESPER activated and he found himself in a boxing ring. "Chess boxing!? Oki-chwan, violence isn't the answer."
"It is for you," Okisato glared as he took off his jacket, revealing his shockingly buff physique.
"O- Oi... W- When did you get so many steroids!?" Ginji trembled.
"Never, I pump iron, that's how. Now for the rules, standard, but with no time between round changes. The bell only signifies when the discipline changes, with the board phasing out when it's boxing time. Also, we start with chess. As for the wager, you lose, you get imprisoned in the WWCF's holding facility for life, with said life coming to an end when the Ultima-master is beaten by someone that can properly beat it. Oh, and all the wounds you receive from this fight will never heal either. And need I add that if you've set up any way to cheat death, it'll be negated when the ultima master is beaten. And when that happens, you'll die just like the Deep Blue conduits did."
A nasty scowl formed on Ginji's face. "You've got some nerve, you little bitch boy. When you lose, I'll have you cross-dress and put on a humiliating little show before you're turned into a conduit and die just like your mother did. It'll be poetic."
"You disgust me. And when I win the match, I get warped directly to the playing hall for the Chess Olympics here in Budapest, Hungary."
"You think you can beat me before the automatic forfeit kicks in? What a riot. Seems it's time I show you why you're nothing but a little bitch before me," Ginji sneered as he cracked his knuckles.
