Chapter 9:

Chapter 10: A Step That Was Tracked

Angelineceuu:the lighting fang of the opperessed

Angeline darted between the trees, her body flickering in and out of sight.

Voidstep allowed her to cross short distances in an instant—not teleportation, but a bending of space.

> “Still needs practice... but enough to keep me untouchable—for now.”

The sky began to glow red. Dawn was approaching.

But from the distance… she felt eyes watching her.

⚠️ Signs of Danger

As Angeline leapt across a thick branch—

SHUUUNG!

A blast of light magic struck the tree trunk behind her, vaporizing it instantly.

> “High-tier magic...!”

She landed in a tight spiral, katana drawn in a flash.

From the forest mist emerged three figures clad in black uniforms—faces masked, robes marked with an elite mage order:

S.A.S. — Sorcery Anti-Circuit, a unit infamous for hunting dimensional violators.

🥷 The Ambush Begins

One of them stepped forward.

A deep male voice echoed from behind the mask.

> “Angeline Ceu. You have violated Class A dimensional protocols.

Voidstep usage by demihuman species is a major offense.

Surrender now. Or...”

Angeline narrowed her eyes.

> “Or what? Burn down my home again?

Erase my kind from your precious history books?”

Her katana glowed with fire and wind.

> “If you want to test the Voidstep… be my guest.”

⚔️ Battle Ignites

One enemy hurled a spear of light magic. But Angeline vanished.

> Voidstep!

She reappeared behind the mage—slamming the flat of her blade into his back.

Another cast an air-wrap spell, trapping Angeline in a sphere of high-pressure magic.

But she triggered Voidstep once more—shattering the air cage and reappearing above, hurling a bolt of lightning from her katana.

> “Speed isn’t everything…

But you can’t hit what you can’t see.”

🌀 A Dirty Trick

Suddenly, one of the mages activated a Void-suppressing charm—a seal that disrupted spatial warping.

The space around Angeline stabilized—Voidstep was cut off.

> “You’re fast. But even the Void needs openings.

And we’ve closed them.”

Angeline was cornered.

Her katana cracked. Her breathing ragged.

But then… she remembered the words of the Guardian Spirit:

> “Voidstep isn’t only for evasion.

It’s a key… to break through the limits within yourself.”

💥 Instinct Awakens

Her ears twitched sharply. Her eyes gleamed a vivid blue.

With one breath, she channeled magic through her entire body—not just her blade.

> “If I can’t access the space...

Then I’ll destroy the space itself.”

With a burst of raw energy, she shattered the Void seal by force.

Voidstep surged back—awakened in a new form.

🐾 A Narrow Victory

In a blinding flurry, Angeline pierced the mages’ defenses—

slamming one into a tree, slicing through the seal charm of another,

and launching a wind strike that tore up the earth.

The three elite mages collapsed—unconscious, not dead, but defeated.

She stood, panting.

> “Tell your superiors this—

I’m not a threat.

I’m the beginning... of their reckoning.”

🌘 End of Chapter

Angeline turned away, her body trembling from arcane exhaustion and dimensional strain.

But before she vanished into the mist, one of the fallen mages grinned through the blood.

> “Too late... They already know you’ve returned. And this time, not just the Order…The entire Academy is coming for you.”

Angeline clenched her jaw—

then stepped int

o the fog,

disappearing with the wind.
