Prologue : The Most Famous Fictional Character

Manhwa became quite popular these days. They are very much like mangas, only that they are colored and originated from Korea. The way they are made are different too and most manhwas are published virtually.

However, there's a book which became a talk globally. It was titled, "The Most Eccentric King." Not only was its plot great but it was also because of it's protagonist Rowan Lennox the crown prince of the Rosaria Kingdom.

A man with red hair as fierce as his personality and strong-will. Everything he wants, he eventually gets and he also hate conforming to the social and traditional norms of his era.

The story was set on a Victorian era derived from the European culture but with a mix of magic and fantasy. It was a story of how Rowan pushed through the confines of the norms, gained enemies and was seen as eccentric for his strange but morally correct behavior.

Many readers loved it, even the ones who were not familiar with such contents. Mainly because of how Rowan became an icon for the LGBTQ+ after he fought for his people's rights that everyone should just love everyone by dancing with men on banquets.

He was also quite a rebel as he loved doing things that would incite a reaction from his father — the King — and also the people, especially the elders who were oh so, stern with him having a proper image as the crown prince.

He would fight anyone who were disrespectful or immoral no matter their status even if they are a commoner or a noble, heck he even argue with his father if there are some conflict with their views.

It was as if he became a symbol of freedom as Rowan just did what he wanted, not with arrogance but confidence.

Of course, Kevin Wang is not that different from anyone. He also loved the manhwa and was confused as to how the author has no background whatsoever. He even searched from the deepest of the internet to look for the author in hopes that he could read more of their work or to ask some questions.

Such as, 'Why aren't there any romance around Rowan?' The author never acknowledged comments from anyone so, everyone just ships and make pairs for Rowan from the story.

The manhwa just appeared out of the blue and became a sensation one fine day.

The story ended with Rowan being the King, of course and Kevin read it like a million times already but somehow, it felt like it's not complete or he's just obsessed.

"I swear Jaz I'll die if I don't consume this story or even dive into it." Kevin groaned as he was reading on his bed, his friend Jaz was on his computer, playing a first person shooter game.

"Dude, I know the story's good but it's not your life." Jaz just chuckled, shaking his head as he found Kevin's hyper fixation ridiculous.

Kevin had things he was fixated with back then, like animes and kpop idols but the manhwa got him in a tight grip as if he was drawn in.

"You won't get it Jaz..." Kevin sighed, thinking deeply.

'If I were to enter that world, what should I even do?' He thought to himself.

"Ah! I'll just go home..." Kevin got off the bed and left.

"Careful on your way home." Jaz just bid, still busy with his game.

On Kevin's way back home, he noticed that the sun was nowhere to be found and was hidden behind the dark clouds. 'Strange, the weather's nice earlier...' He thought and just ignored the change of weather. 'Global warming I suppose...' He shrugged mentally.

Just as he was walking peacefully, the thunder began to roar and the rain suddenly fell as if it planned to pour only on Kevin. 'Was this some kind of an omen?' He thought to himself before he ran back home.

His house is quite far from Jaz so, even while running, he took ten minutes before he arrived.

Somehow, Kevin felt sick when he got home. He became a coughing fit and he actually felt heavy, with no one to take care of him at home, he immediately went to the bathroom to wash up hoping that it'll prevent him from getting fever.

After a few minutes, he went out of the bath and got dressed but it served nothing as he felt more feverish.

It was almost ridiculous for Kevin that he got sick incredibly fast, he thought as he tucked himself in his bed.

'Are viruses this quick now?' He thought to himself, coughing again as his eyelids became heavier.

His head aches and he felt so heavy, as if he was getting buried alive.

Kevin tried to open his phone, wanting to contact Jaz about what happened or any of his friends, even his parents. He wanted to ask for help for he actually felt like he's going to die.

It may be impossible, to just get sick from one downpour but here he was, immediately sick and dying. He believed and was confident that he has a strong immune system so he found it absolutely ridiculous to have a fever this quick.

However, just as Kevin was about to contact anyone. He forgot that he left the page of his favorite manhwa open.

He stared at the image of Rowan with half-lidded eyes, reading the bubble text saying, "The world is ours to maneuver."

In the end, Kevin closed his eyes and he let himself fall into slumber.

Everything went black.

After a while, Kevin gained consciousness but he felt strange. The heavy and feverish feeling he felt before falling asleep was gone.

He slowly opened his eyes, a woman was smiling at him, cooing at his existence. He don't know her but he felt familiarity from her.

"My Jerome is awake..." She cooed.

'Jerome?' Kevin was confused. He's not Jerome. He wanted to tell the woman that she must've been mistaken, however all he could mutter was a babble.

The woman chuckled at him and he was just confused. Much more, terrified. He looked at his hands — his now tiny baby hands — and out of shock, he cried. He's a baby.

He became a baby.

'WHAT THE HECK?!'
