Chapter 0:

Eidrin: The Birth of a Storm

The Emperor showdown: Adventure, love & brotherhood in the warrior land

The story takes place in a medieval period.Long ago, there existed a country called Florencia—one of the richest and most powerful nations of its time. It was ruled by a righteous king named James I.

Even though his kingdom was mighty, King James preferred peace over power. He focused on keeping harmony within his lands rather than conquering others. Florencia was a beautiful country, filled with kind-hearted people and serenity.

The king had five children: James II, Jonathan, Johan, John, and Jonas.James was the eldest, Jonathan the second eldest, Johan and John were twins, and Jonas was still just an infant.
James Jr. lived a happy and luxurious life alongside his father, mother, and brothers—until that terrible thing happened.
An evil, power-hungry emperor captured Florencia through betrayal and struck down the king and queen. All who stood with King James were slain.
The loyal citizens of Florencia fought valiantly, standing by their king until their last breath. Most of them perished at the hands of the emperor.
But the five princes were saved—spirited away by the king’s most trusted guards.
They escaped to a distant nation and lived in hiding, constantly burdened by the fear that the emperor would one day find them. Yet the guards remained vigilant, always ready to protect the princes at the cost of their own lives.
Among them was Ruke, the prime guard, who raised the princes as if they were his own sons.
James’s heart felt hollow. Even at a young age, the pain he carried was too much to bear. His younger brothers were too small to fully understand the depth of their loss.
Ruke stayed beside James, helping to heal his broken heart.

Ten years passed.
Ruke succumbed to illness. James felt that emptiness once more. His heart trembled in pain. There was no one left to care for him or his brothers.
James was now 15 years old. Jonathan was 13. Johan and John were 11. Jonas was 10.
Then one day, James made a painful decision.
He realized that the more they stayed together, the more danger they were in. Their presence as a group would only attract the attention of their enemies.
With a heavy heart, James approached his brothers.
They gathered beneath a quiet tree, under the fading light of the evening sun.
James: “We need to split up.”
His brothers looked at him, stunned.
Johan: “I don’t think this is a good idea… We can’t survive without each other.”
James: “I know. But we need to. If we stay together forever, our enemies will find us easily.”
Johan: “But big brother… Jonas is just a kid…”
Jonathan: “Stop it, Johan. You need to respect big brother’s decision.”
Johan: “I’m not disrespecting anyone. I’m just… telling my opinion.”
John: “Stop. We don’t need to argue with each other.”
Jonas: “It’s okay, big brother Johan. I can survive by myself. Big brother James has taught me a lot.”
James: “So from today on… we’re splitting up. We’ll each take on a new name, a new identity. I promise you all—one day, I’ll find you again.”
Jonathan: “I also promise.”
John: “I also promise.”
Jonas: “I also promise.”
John: “What about you, Johan?”
Johan: “…I also… promise.”

The brothers parted ways with tears in their eyes.
James’s heart ached. His eyes overflowed with tears. He made a vow—one day, he would reunite with his brothers.
And he would take revenge on the evil emperor who destroyed everything.
He took on a new name. A new identity. He started a new life.He became a new person.
