Xander’s Deal - Mesuda Village Arc

For a few moments after Xander entered the room his eyes panned across it until his eye's met both Honō and Selene causing him to narrow his eyes as he began to speak.

“Hello, could we speak in private Honō, Selene?”

Honō looked at Selene for a moment hoping for a hint on why Xander was here but all he saw was concern in her eyes as she stared at Xander. As he looked back to Xander he nodded in agreement to Xander’s request to talk.

“Ash, could you step out for a bit while we talk to Xander?” Asked Honō gesturing to the back patio where Witz was

“Sure” Ash replied unsure what to think of the current situation as he walked out of the room and onto the patio where Witz was calling Armatura with the report.

“Good we’re alone now, just the three of us” spoke Xander as he walked over and sat down across from Honō and Selene.

“What is it you want to talk about then” asked Honō with a somewhat serious tone as he spoke to the priest.

“I just want to ask you a few questions that’s all” spoke Xander in a playful way before switching to a more serious tone as he continued “first question I have is what do you remember of last night in the church?”

“I remember none of it as Selene said it was the apparent other soul in my body” answered Honō honest in his response.

“Apparent? You don’t believe her then?” Questioned Xander raising an eyebrow.

“Sorry it’s not that I don’t believe her it’s all just hard to believe. How would you think if you woke up after thinking you were about to die and then being told your body isn’t just your but another person's body as well?” Returned Honō with his own question as he felt he wasn’t able to fully speak how he wanted.

“I see an understandable response I propose” spoke Xander in understanding before continuing “What’s your opinion on the whole ideal, Selene?”

“I think …” started Selene before stopping and looking at Honō “I think Honō’s going to need time to adjust to everything he’s learnt from his encounter with Osore”

“Osore? Oh, the man in black I presume?” Inquired Xander as he rested his elbows on his knees as he clasped his hands together.

“Yes, he was the man in black” answered Honō before returning his own question “any more questions Xander?”

“Only one more Honō” replied Xander playfully now losing his serious tone.

“Ok what’s your question then?” Asked Honō still with the feeling that he can’t fully say what he wants, persisting.

“Could I hire you guys to help me travel through the forest so that I can get to Mithhar and the more importantly the big church situated in it somewhere?” Requested Xander playfully as he began to grin at Honō and Selene.

As Xander finished speaking the feeling Honō had regarding his speech disappeared allowing him to speak his mind without restraint.

“I’d uhh I’d have to discuss it with Witz and Ash but yes, we should be able to” answered Honō confused at Xander’s change in character.

“Great it’s a deal then, when do we leave” smiled Xander from corner to corner as he stood up.

“In a few days I’m not in any shape to go somewhere” stated Honō as he laid on the couch.

“Good, good I’ll see you all then” waved Xander joyfully as he swiftly exited the cabin.

It a few days when all five of them met up again outside Selene’s cabin and began the journey through the narrow part of the forest of Mithhar which stood between Mesuda village and the capital of the nation of myths.
