Chapter 3:
When I bought That Suspect Baroque Closet and Lamp, I Didn't Expect to Be a Mundane Wizard for the Demon Prince of Another World
"I WANT A REFUND!" Kairo screamed at the top of his lungs when he had control of his voice.
As he tumbled about the spacious vortex, he felt his body exploding and resembling many times until it was a more solid form.
"This is reincarnation?!" He gasped with realization as his body was constantly impacted by the spinning cosmic space. But if it was reincarnation he would look different. He stared at his arm and hand that looked the same as any other time he had seen it.
An eye-piercing shriek and waves of brutal energy slammed into his being to make his body repeat the same exploding and reformation process continuously.
"God, what have I done to make you butt angry?!" He shouted and felt a slither of relief when his deep voice was the same as always.
His mind frantically flicked through memories of his life and returned nothing to note. His routine had been a consistent pattern of going to school, graduating, getting a job and working the same shifts for years to make up his 19 years of living.
He gasped when he thought back to his last day to work and the cat in the basket he saw.
"Did I step on a cat's tail?" He gulped, thinking that he had invoked a gypsy curse.
The repeated pattern of exploding and resembling left a nauseous sensation in his gut. The green-blue glow of the vortex was making him dizzy. At least he didn't feel the stabbing and numb pains of electrocution anymore.
A sensation of hope raced through his being when the colors of the light changed to a pure white and a small opening was before him. He felt the energies of other life lingering about the opening.
"Not good enough! I'm your Demon Prince. If any of you dare take me for a fool, I'll kill you right now!" Words and voice of a man flooded into the vortex to change the feelings of hope to the fears of being suppressed by dominant forces.
"This pettiness ends now!" The voice bellowed with outrage.
The opening swiftly grew in size until it engulfed Kairo's entire being.
"God, forgive me!" Kairo screamed as he felt himself rapidly falling through space to land on something solid yet soft.
As he blinked to clear away his fuzzy vision, he gradually saw the image of a handsome man staring at him: their faces a nose touch away.
The man's breathing was fast and breath hot as he glared at him with ire. Naturally, the man was not impressed to have Kairo on his lap.
