Chapter 15:
Engulfed in Darkness - Becoming a Villain in Another World (Part II)
Hiroshi and Wisteria arrived back at his home, where Bibi still was, curled in a ball on the couch. She seemed to freeze at Wisteria's presence, but calmed down when Hiroshi signalled to her that all was alright. Wisteria sat down beside Bibi, and Bibi inched herself away from Wisteria ever so slightly.
"I'm...sorry about that, Bibi," Wisteria began to speak, but Bibi had a response.
"No I understand. It's alright. I'm a liability and all, which my emotions on the line, and you wanted to scare me off, isn't that right?" She said softly. She knew it was true, she just wanted to hear it from the woman herself. Wisteria nodded her head down, almost ashamed.
"Yes."
"I see...I forgive you," she said in a plain tone, but before Wisteria could show her smile, she added to her apology. "However, I am a bit scared of you guys now. Actually, a lot more than a bit. I want you as my friends to reassure me, that you won't attack me again, and you will help me find my father again, no matter what."
Wisteria leaned over to her, their shoulders now touching. She put her hands on Bibi's hands, and she began warming them up. Bibi and Wisteria slowed locked eyes, and Hiroshi sat back and watched the scene unfold from the comfort of his 'thinking chair'.
"Yes," Wisteria whispered, not breaking eye contact, wanting to make sure Bibi knew she meant every word. "You have our word. We will die for you, if we have to."
"Well, you don't have to go that far," Bibi chuckled. "But thank you. I really appreciate it Wisteria."
Both women pulled themselves into a soft, cute hug. Hiroshi smiled. At least that got resolved easily, with no bumps. However, there was one thing still really getting under his skin. He opened up the transmitter on his desk and began to text somebody a message. He hardly ever used it, even though it was always in his house, provided by Tsuyoshi Kage himself, but he needed it now.
A point needed to be made.
After a minute, the two ladies pried themselves from each other, and gave a small smile to one another. At the very same time, a knock came to the door. The women stood up, and went to go to the door, but Hiroshi was already there, opening the door to the man he asked to come here.
Tomokazu Onuki.
"Come on in, Tomo. We need to talk," Hiroshi said in a low voice, and Tomokazu walked into the house. Both men looked incredibly angry at one another. The two women stayed away, unaware of the events that were about to occur. Hiroshi walked up to Tomokazu, getting up in his face.
Hiroshi threw a punch. Faster than the speed of light. Tomokazu took the full brute force of the punch, but he stayed on his feet. His rage took over as a took a swing at Hiroshi, hoping to knock his teeth out of his face.
Hiroshi blocked it effortlessly, and counterattacked, landing another punch to Tomokazu's stomach. The man fell to the ground, coughing and spluttering.
"Good. You deserved that," Hiroshi hissed at him, deciding to back off. Not even Bibi stepped forward to help, they just let Hiroshi continue. "I want you to tell Bibi the truth."
"What truth?!" Tomokazu wheezed out, still struggling to breathe after Hiroshi's last attack. The man born from an Ardor was almost crippled. He had no idea what Hiroshi did to himself over the last few months, but it was nothing short of extraordinary. He had went from the weakest link in the team, to the strongest link.
"Why did you attack Bibi?! Why do you want her off the team? Explain yourself!" Hiroshi yelled again, getting down low and speaking into Tomokazu's ear in a cold, shrill tone. "Or do you want me to punch you harder this time?"
Tomokazu slowly got up, and took a small breath. He wasn't ready for his partner's reaction at all. However, Hiroshi's presence was too strong. At this point, it was near an Ardor's level.
"I...I know your father Bibi...very well in fact," he coughed again, suffering with every word he spoke. Bibi's face sank to the floor. Tomokazu was not done. "On top of that, he works alongside my father, like his right hand man in command. His magic is way too strong for you, and I just didn't want you getting hurt..."
"What's it to you?! How dare you assume I'm too weak!" Bibi cut off Tomokazu's voice, who was taken aback slightly by the outburst. Bibi was red in the face, and the tears had almost started again. "What's to say I don't beat him myself?!"
"He wants to kill you Bibi."
Bibi froze in her tracks. "W-what?"
"Anwir hates a lot of things. Humans. People that get in the way of his inventions. People that don't allow him freedom. However, one person always took priority on his hit list. His alive daughter. The failure. The reason Aiai died. Bibi Shitsuo."
The other two in the room turned to look at Bibi. They had no idea she had a surname. They just assumed she didn't know it. That wasn't the biggest part on the agenda though. Hiroshi put out his hand to Tomokazu, offering to help him up.
"Good man, now, was that so hard?" He asked with a grunt, as he helped Tomokazu to his feet.
"Don't you dare patronize me," Tomokazu started to talk, but shut his mouth as soon as Hiroshi looked at him, deeply into his soul.
"Or what?"
It was the second time in his life that he swallowed true fear, and both to Hiroshi, no less. It was as if Hiroshi was turning more into Kuro-Yami every single day.
"I'll give you time to process that information, Bibi, and after that, we head to Titania, to get the weapons that will kill these bastards. Do you understand?" Hiroshi asked, to which the group nodded in unison.
"Good."
Hiroshi left his own house to the other three. Bibi sat on the couch, refusing to let anymore tears fall. Tomokazu sat beside her and gave her an awkward hug. Wisteria looked outside the door, watching Hiroshi walk away.
What was happening with him?
