The beginning

"It's finally done."

A figure lingering in the dark called out. He took a step forward, letting the moonlight fall on him. The dark-haired man tilted his head, looking outside, carrying a satisfied look on his face; he murmured, "The fruit of our desire—". His lips froze for a second, clenching his teeth; he leaned against the wall. He stood there for some time, finally reaching out to the boy who was deep asleep. The man caressed his hair with a faint smile.

"I know you are really young...but that is what makes you the most ideal person."

The boy moved slightly, still asleep.

The man walked back to the window, looking up at the moon, admiring the blue light. The blue glimmered in his bright red eyes, and he closed them.

"Why do humans live this short…" he sighed. "Well, not only them but many others too."

He opened his eyes, and the red had been replaced with blue.

"Gladly, my days are numbered too."

He chuckled softly. Turning around, he looked at the boy.

"Farewell, the worthless fruit of our efforts; carry on with our motive when none of us will be there to see the outcome we craved."

He went up to the door of the boy's room, and he was about to turn the knob when he seemingly remembered something.

"Ah, child, you said you wanted to name this place Star Awesome... I will let it be... though that's only true ironically."
