Chapter 11:

Chapter 11 – The One Who Shouldn’t Be

The Hero Who Shouldn’t Exist

The world was reacting.

Not through armies.

But through whispers.

“There’s someone… not in the records.”
“A shadow walking outside the scroll of fate.”
“A heretic wielding Tsuyoi.”

The myths, once absolute, began to ripple.

In the Grand Cathedral of Aetherlight, divine historians scrambled to recalibrate the World Scripture. But no matter how many prophecies they rewrote, one anomaly kept resurfacing.

A name that shouldn’t exist.

A legend that defied their ink.

Yoru.

Meanwhile, far from holy grounds, Yoru wandered a forgotten ruin—an abandoned Archive of Forbidden Magic, where relics once cursed by history lay to rot.

He wasn't looking for power.

He was looking for truth.

“Why did the gods erase me?”
“Why was I offered up as a footnote to another hero’s tale?”

He found no answers.
Only a cracked mirror.

He stared at it—until it whispered.

"Do you truly want to be remembered?"

Yoru flinched. The voice came from the glass.
Not just a reflection—but a fragment of his erased soul.

It knew what he didn’t.
It remembered what had been stolen.

And then it showed him—
A glimpse of his first death.

Not a glorious battle.
Not a divine mistake.

A betrayal.
By the other reincarnated hero. The one the world chose.

A blade through the back. A final gasp. And then... deletion.

Not even the gods mourned him.

Yoru’s hands shook.

“Then I’ll burn the prophecy itself.”

“If I wasn’t chosen to be remembered—then I’ll make them remember me in fear.”

And so, from the ashes of that ruin, he claimed a second Tsuyoi artifact:

The Mask of the Hollowed Hero.

A cursed helm that concealed all identity—
But amplified forgotten souls.

When he put it on, the ground cracked.

Because the world finally felt it:

A myth not written…

…but forced into being.
