What is reality?

My name is Rei your regular office worker. My age 26, my height 179 cm , and I still a single. My hobby is watching anime and reading both manga and novel.Even then i’am still the most competent in my office which make me raise into higher position faster than my coworkers. Right now I’m a leader from a long project that could change the company in better future.

"Good job everybody. Now it's already now night it's time to go home."

"Wahhh finally! It's time to go home! Can't wait to watch the new show!" Say Ebi my subordinate.

“What you mean with you go home!? Your job still not done yet!” Shout Mira my another subordinate.

“Ehhh?? But boss said we must go home now!

“Ebi Ebi you really must learn from me. I completed my job one hour ago while you still work like a madman.” Raya said it with full proud even when both not listens to her word because their argument. Raya looks embarrassed seeing none of them care about what is she saying.

“Ahahahaha!! It’s true Mira we all should go home now. It’s not like we in a rush. 

“Hahh, if you said it like that boss then i do it.”

“Thank you Mira, My motto is to work when its time to work and go home when it’s time to go home. Anyway see you tomorrow.”

“See you tomorrow boss!”

All three of them say that while leaving the room.

“Hmmm??” 

My eyes seeing my junior still locked in his computer doing his job.

“Ping Pong Ping Pong time to go home Dave.”

Dave is surprised when i say those things behind him.

“So-sorry boss i’am too focused on my work!”

“Well don’t worry about it anyway it’s time to go home. You need to rest afterall.”

“Yes, thank you boss then i gonna go home now.”

“Be careful.”

As my last subordinate leave it’s time for me to go home too. On my way to my home i thinking about Dave who looks like he is not comfortable on his job. As a leader i probably should keep my eyes on him and help him getting comfortable. After all he is still new on his job.

When i got back home I started read a manga i buy yesterday. The story is about a man who is teleported to another world to slay a demon king. After the defeat of demon king he reject his chance to back to his own world and decided to stay in another world with all his achievements. The story is ended with a happy ending for a hero who slain demon king.

“Another world huh? I wonder if those thing exist? A battle through will, a journey full of challenges and a new life. If i somehow teleported to another world i probably will stay on those world like the hero hahahahahaha.”

“Well it’s time to go sleep tomorrow i need to go work afterall.”

The sun is rising above and i’am starting my day with breakfast and simple workout. 

“Time to go!”

I go to work with my motorcycle and when i got to the office I started to clean the room before i work. When I finish cleaning it my colleagues and subordinates is coming to office.

“Good morning , Boss” Say Dave who looks like he got fever.

“Morning, Dave!? Wait what happen with you?

“Nothing i just lack sleep I'm sorry boss.”

I’am surprised seeing him like that so i decide to give him a day off. Dave is surprised when i did that but i force him to do it. It’s better to seeing him well tomorrow rather seeing him collapse overwork himself today. Dave finally go home and i decided to take Dave work today. I plan to visit him later and bring some souvenirs for him. I explain what happen to Dave to the others and they sigh relief after knowing what happened.

Ebi, Mira and Raya starting their job like day before. Ebi who doing his job slow and always overreact, Mira who doing it well but not fast and Raya who doing it fast but need many revision before it finalized. And me who doing it well and fast. The job is done for today and after say goodbye to my subordinate i visiting Dave. Dave is surprised when i visit him and we talk till i decide to ask him why he overwork himself.

“Hey Dave, what happen to you? I knew you have something on your mind that weighing you so i come here.”

“I’m sorry boss but this is personal.”

“I see, but as a project leader I couldn’t take it that easy. If you have something on your mind just tell me. If you collapse then me and your other coworkers gonna worry and we can’t focus on our work.”

“I see.”

Dave decided to tell me about his problem. Turn out he had a self esteem issue that make him should give 120% on his work which make him more easy to get tired.

“Well Dave, i need to tell you something. You are allowed to work till 80% of it if you want.

“Huh!? But shouldn’t we always do 100% for our work? I know that did it 120% is bad for me but 80%?”

“I tell you something, you not gonna get fired or get killed when you do it 80%. It’s better to get 80% job done rather 100% but you stress out yourself. You are still new don’t force yourself like the work is war.

“But boss, didn’t you become manager because you work harder than i am?”

“Well our life is different don’t compare me to you. I probably better at work but maybe you are better than me at other things. Anyway what i want to say is stop working if that make you go stress. You are not alone value your life more ok!”

“Thanks boss, i will.”

“Well then it’s time for me to go home. See you!”

“Yes boss.”

In the next day Dave is looking better and he slowly give better impressions than before. His smile is not forced but a genuine smile. He starting become better that even his 80% is becoming his 120% of him back then. Eventually the project is 95% done and one month is still left for us to complete it. Dave also got a girlfriend and he introduces her to us which make us baffled. One day my boss is calling me to his office and he introduce me to his son. He look like good guy and full of energy.

“Rei I introduce him for you. He is Akiho my son he also our new worker and i want you to bring him to your project.”

“Ehhh!? My project may i know the reason sir?”

“He is interested on your project so i want you to teach him more about it.”

“I see.”

“I be on your care, senior.”

“Sure.” 

I started to show him around our room and our project and he look overjoy about it. I also introduce him to my subordinates. We talk many things about our project and about hardship we go through to try complete it. We also surprised when Dave say he gonna get transferred to another department on the another city tomorrow.

One day Akiho call me to office warehouse he say that he need my help to carry things around i try to tell him that there’s newbie who need my guidance but he beg me to come to the warehouse and he says it’s only take a while. When i arrive at the spot somebody punching me so hard i go unconscious. I manage to see who punching me it was some random guy I don’t know and beside him is Akiho!?

When i wake up there is someone on top of me. I surprised when it’s a girl not only that she also naked. When i try to see her face polices break the door of the warehouse and try to arrest me. When i try to reasoning with them they don’t look care about it.

“Mister Rei, you are under arrest!”

“Huh!? But I didn’t do anything!”

“Is that what you say when you are naked with another women!”

I realize my clothes is gone and not only that the women beside me is full of bruises. As i see in horror the girl is our newbie and she is Dave girlfriend.

“She need to go to hospital right now!” Say one of the policewoman.

I’am realize that reasoning with them now is pointless so i decided to wait for her to wake up so she can explain things. I got stared by everybody my coworkers and even my own subordinates see me with disgust eyes. 

I waiting on the police station for few hours and got a news that the girl is in coma. Which make my situation worsen not only that Dave is coming to me with eyes full of rage. When i meet him he starting to punch me all the police even surprised when he beating me down. They manage to stopping Dave and he start to shout.

“You bas*** i thought you are a good guy I believe you but not only you rape my girlfriend you also beat her up you piece of s***!!!”

“No , I didn’t do it i swear!”

“Then why all your fingerprints is on her!!! Tell me!!!”

I lost a word. Fingerprints? The warehouse doesn’t have CCTV and she is in coma. I don’t have any good proof to tell that i’am not the perpetrator of this crime. I remembered something.

“Akiho!! Akiho!! I know that he is on scene with me back then!”

“Mister Akiho is the one who called us that you doing something on the warehouse.

“Wait what!? Please check my phone i have contact history on it that Akiho is call me!! Please!!”

This time i realized that Akiho is try to take me down for unknown reason.

“There is nothing here that indicates he makes a call with you today.

“Wha-!?”

“Today we gonna let you go because next week you need to go to court please don’t ran away.”

The polices force Dave to calm down and tell him that he shouldn’t do that or he gonna go to prison. Dave is leaving places and i for 25 years of my life never feel this heavy to walk before. I decided to go sleep after coming home.

In the next day my social media is full of threat from strangers and disappointing messages from friends and colleagues. I decided to not go work today and eating instant food. I try to go buy grocery on the supermarket many people see me like a vermin making me uncomfortable and when i go home some people just stop me to beat me up taking all my groceries. I started go into delusion like all of this is not real, this is just bad dream and i need to wake up thinking it like this for some reason give me closure. I stay on my house until the court day is coming and when that day is come my feeling is in chaos only for it to become worse when i see the judge is my childhood friend whom i love back then.

Her name is Ava she always say that she want to become judge. I wonder is she recognize me everytime  i see her the only things i have is shame and the atmosphere here could choke me everytime. On another hand i see that Dave girlfriend lawyer is ready with his case. The court is finally begin. My lawyer say that i’am not at fault because I unconscious which make my actions is not considered at fault but the other say that my actions is my own fault. Many people is agree that I should go to prison but after some debates my lawyer winning the case because the proof of other side is not convincing enough. As many of the other side proof could get easily manipulated by hands and so the judge deem that i’am not at fault but i still need to pay the hospital bill for Dave girlfriend. Even then i feel relief because my life is gonna back. This time i filling my courage to see her eyes and i know she believes that i’m innocent.

My life should be back to normal but that’s not the case some people believe that i bribe the judge so i can win my case some people also doesn’t really care about that and hate me anyway. In the office people just see me with disgust and my workrate finally going down. I try to find Akiho but unfortunately his father decided to fire me and he replace me with his son. Depression and stress give me reason that i should became shut-in. Everyday i starting to lose my sense of reality. Anime, manga, and  novels become reason i still have sense of reality. I dreaming about to go to another world everyday to become a new person to leave the life i have right now but all of this is still a dream i hold dearly. I even don’t know that a year already passed. I even losing my communication skills.

One day when i try to go out at night a random car is trying to hit me when the car stopped. A guy is get out from the car it’s Akiho. My blood boiling and try to rush him so i can beat him but his bodyguard beat me to the ground.

“Hehehehe look at you now skinny, ugly, and broke. You deserve everything that you got now.”

“You! Bast*** what have i do to deserve this!!”

“Well, you reject my advice on the project that’s why i need to get rid of you!”

“Project? Just for that you ruin my life!? Your advice is good in paper but it’s bad on the field. If only you said that you want to take it rather giving some useless advice i gonna give it to you no need to ruin my life like this!”

“Bad on the field? Then tell me why i became rich right now!”

“Short ter- guahhh!!

Akiho kick my face and looking from his expression i hit him right. His face going hot red and he clenching his fist.

“Fu** you, break one of his arm also his leg. I’m gonna make you suffer. IAM BETTER THAN YOU!!!”

 His bodyguard starting to break one of my arm also one of my leg.

“Ahhhhhhhhhhh!!!”

“Right now there is no one here who can hear your scream. Go scream as loud as you want!!! Hehehehehe!!!”

They finally leave me. Alone, bruised, and now disables. My face full of tears my body covered by pain and death watch me what an act i going to do. I see some stick near me that i use it help me walk slowly I'm going home and slowly i losing sense of pain. After i reach my home i welcomed by many beautiful heroine they are a character from every anime, manga, and novel i loved. They hug, they kiss me, the smile at me. What a bliss this is a beautiful scenery unfortunately i want to sleep, sleep for really long time i’am tired so i reach my window and let the world take my life. The sky look great i even can see the star's also my mind flooding with memories beautiful memories.

Before my body reach the ground a blinding light is surrounding my body and when i open my eyes the world is pure white and my body is fully recovered.

“Where is this place? After life? Well you can say it’s another world right? Just not what i expected hahahaha.”

“Save the world.”

“Huhh? Where’s that voice come from?

I try to find the source of voice from my surroundings but no luck.

“Save the world.”

“Who are you? Are you a God?”

“Save the world and you gonna get what you want.”

“I get what i wanted. Sure i do it!”

The voice i hear probably a God that gives me a second chance if so then he should know what i wanted. Then i gonna save the world.

Suddenly I teleported to middle of nowhere with my clothes back. The sky is blue as far i see ,the air feels refreshing i couldn’t believe I actually go to another world. It feels like a dream come true but i wonder if I actually get some cheat abilities.

“Status open!” Nothing happens.

“System show me my capabilities!” Nothing happens.

For hours i try to find my abilities only ends up as a fail. I became bored so i try to find some people around here. After walking for hours i finally found a village.
