New life

After walking for several hours, I managed to find a village and intended to go there. When I arrived, I was surprised because the village appeared empty and silent, with no signs of life.

I began to mutter and question myself.

(Is there someone here? What happened to this village?)

A few minutes after wandering around the village, I came to the conclusion that it had been abandoned by its inhabitants, and in a hurry. Whether the village was attacked or if it had fallen into an unfavorable situation—that was what crossed my mind.

Suddenly, I heard a sound coming from quite a distance and immediately searched for its source. I was stunned to see many monsters gathered together, busy doing something and when i count them there are 20 of them. I tried to look closer and more carefully at what they were doing. Every hair on my body stood on end when I realized they were devouring a human alive. Those monster is look like human with size rivaling small house also they have pair of batwings. There are 20 of them

“AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH HELP HELP MEEEEEE!!!”

“PLEASEEEEE DON’T EAT MEEEEE!!!!!”

Their screams made me break out in a cold sweat. My body grew weak, and I tried my best not to make the slightest sound. I shut my eyes and covered my ears, unable to endure the situation I was experiencing.

(This is crazy, I know i want to go into another world but I can’t believe i go into this situation as soon i came.)

The screams began to fade, and at that moment I knew they had finished devouring those people. I watched as they left the place, which was drenched in human blood. I immediately fled from there and searched for a hiding place for the day. After several minutes of searching, I found a house still in good condition that I could stay in. I looked around the house, and once I knew it was empty, I gathered some objects to hide myself in case any monsters came.

While I was busy preparing my hiding spot, I was utterly shocked to see that one of the monsters from earlier was still in the area. The monster saw me and i saw a biggest grin i ever see at the sight of me. I ran with all my strength as it smashed the front of the house with a single swing of its arm. The monster then let out a loud roar, signaling its pack to return to the village.

“Dammit i’am not prepared for this beside that i also don’t know about the power i have. Right now the only thing i could do is run and hidings through houses one by one until they give up.”

As I carried out my plan, I saw the monster flying toward me at an inhuman speed. It tried to catch me, but I always managed to reach a house for cover and run again after it smashed the building apart. Little by little, the monster began to lose track of me because I started throwing objects in different directions, confusing it.

I then noticed several monsters returning to the village from afar. Whether it was because of adrenaline or the life-and-death situation, I thought quickly and planned to hide beneath the rubble of the first house that had been destroyed, hoping they would eventually give up searching for me.

I quickly picked up some small stones and used them to divert its attention. A crowd of monsters was in front of me, and one was behind me. At that moment, I began executing my plan: I shouted to draw the monster behind me closer, and as it approached, I threw a stone at one of the houses across from where I stood. The monster’s attention shifted, and it moved toward the opposite house. While it was distracted, I slipped further back, repeating this process twice until I was close to my destination. Finally, I did it one last time and quickly hid beneath the ruins, making sure to cover every part of my body so I wouldn’t be seen.

This was a crucial moment, as I couldn’t make the slightest sound, and all I could do now was hope that my plan would work. The monster returned with its pack and roared, most likely to tell them that I was still in the village.

“KRAKKK” 

“BOOOM” 

Their roars grew wilder. From the sound of it, I assumed they had started destroying every house in the village, yet even so, I couldn’t risk checking. At that moment, I felt the ground around me trembling, my heart pounding rapidly, and cold sweat running all over my body. The monsters were nearby, and unintentionally, I overheard their conversation.

“Heeessssss iiiinnnn thisssss placcceeeee iii knowwwww itttttt!!”

“Thennnnn wherreeeee heeeee issssss??!”

(They could talk? Even though the way they spoke is weird. The monster could talk is that mean they are not have animalistic mind? If that the case this plan is failure. They gonna learn on what i did sooner or later.)

“ hahh… i need new plan.”

I peeked through a gap I had made and realized that day had turned into night. At that moment, as I observed my surroundings and saw no signs of the monsters nearby, I slowly began to emerge from my hiding place, carrying a wooden plank beside me to cover myself.

I began looking around in every direction, and after making sure that the monster was not nearby, I immediately crept toward the forest. Honestly, on my way here I had seen a forest to the south, but since I had no preparation at all, I hadn’t planned to go there. After all, this is another world, so a place like a forest would surely be home to wild animals or monsters like them. But in my situation, I had no other choice.

Slowly but surely, I moved without making the slightest sound, and once I felt that I was far enough from them, I ran with all my strength toward the forest. The monsters began to take flight to search for me, and when they saw me running, they roared to alert the rest of their kind. They immediately flew toward me to try to catch me, and though I was already exhausted, I found an extra burst of energy to keep running.

At last, I managed to reach the forest before they could catch me. Even so, I was certain they were still chasing me, so I kept running as fast as I could. This forest was so dense that even the moonlight could not fully illuminate it. The monsters started to lose track of me, but the creatures within the forest also began to stir.

Hiding behind the bushes, I saw that the monster here was a massive cobra with white wings like an eagle.

(This is insane—a snake with wings? Its body is huge, though not as long as I expected. Still, there’s a chance that creature could spit its venom, so I’ll keep watching it for a while.)

Suddenly, the forest rumbled, and the trees around me trembled. The monsters outside still hadn’t given up on capturing me.

(What the hell!? They not give up yet?)

“If that’s the case then i gonna make them fight with this forest creature!”

I came up with a plan to make them fight each other. That’s when I realized there was a nest behind me—most likely the nest of that snake—so I started making noise around it. At a glance, I saw several of its young inside, but I had no other choice. Even though I felt pity, my desire to survive was stronger than my compassion.

“ Im sorry.”

I began throwing stones at the baby snakes, causing them to hiss loudly, which made their mother return to the nest. At the same time, the sound of the monsters chasing me grew closer, so I started shouting as loudly as I could.

“ Alright, you can do this Rei!”

“HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!”

My scream drew all of their attention toward me. I quickly hid behind the thick bushes at my side.

Their movements began to focus on the spot where I had made the noise, and the confrontation became unavoidable. The serpent and the monsters stood face to face. For a moment, they only observed one another, but the battle was about to begin.

“HISSSSSSS!!!!!!!” 

The snake hissed at them and unleashed a venomous attack from its mouth. Some of the monsters managed to dodge, while others were struck by the poison. The parts of their bodies that were hit began to melt like wax touched by fire.

“What the heck!? It’s venom could melt you!?”

“WAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

The screams of the two monsters struck by the deadly attack rang out, and before long, their flesh and bones melted away as well. The other monsters, enraged by the death of their comrades, charged at the serpent. But those screams had awakened the other monsters in the forest, who now began moving toward the commotion.

The serpent managed to dodge several of their blows, though some attacks still managed to wound its body. It lashed at them with its tail and then quickly soared into the air to fire its venom once again. The monsters, too, began to take to the skies to fight the serpent, while some remained on the ground to clash with the forest creatures that had arrived.

“ ok, now this is out of hand.”

I decided to leave, as the battle was becoming more and more chaotic. Roars and screams of monsters filled the air while I ran in the opposite direction. Trees were being flung in every direction, and even as I fled, the battle kept spreading, leaving me no chance to rest.

Several minutes passed, yet the fight still showed no sign of ending. Then, all of a sudden, hundreds of trees were blown away by a powerful gust of wind—and even I was swept off my feet, hurled through the air until I crashed into a massive boulder.

“Uwaaaa!!!!”

“What is happening? I somehow get blown by the wind, is it an attack from one of the monsters?”

When I opened my eyes and looked toward the battlefield, I was utterly shocked—the area that should have been filled with trees had been leveled to the ground, and I could clearly see how the battle was unfolding.

The clash raged both on land and in the air. Countless monsters I had never seen before fought without fear, their corpses scattered everywhere, yet the fighting showed no sign of stopping.

I saw the winged serpent, a glowing blue tiger that released electricity and moved at incredible speed, a black eagle whose strikes pierced its enemies without resistance, a fanged horse wielding magic, and many other monsters too hard to describe.

“Wow, this is insane! This is battle of fantasy something i can’t witness in my world.”

“I thought this battle is about the wing snake and flying titan but turns out it goes into war against anybody in the forest.”

I called the monster who attacked me a flying titan because it fit them. Suddenly i watching that one of the flying titan is flying to my direction. It’s eyes is full of rage toward me and i feel it know me that i’m here but to my surprise a big winged lizard bite his body and cut it to two pieces.

“What!? Is that a dragon?”

The dragon began moving toward the battlefield. I was already starting to lose all feeling in my body. Everything I had experienced today was utterly insane—my heart kept pounding wildly, yet somehow I felt alive, and before I realized it, I burst out laughing freely.

“Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha”

I felt as if all the burdens within me had been lifted. I let out a deep breath and decided to rest for a while as I watched the war between the monsters—a moment of sweet and peaceful respite.
