Prologue

You know how people keep talking about reaching the edge of the world?

I mean, it has become pretty obvious after all these centuries in this planet and all this research that such a thing would be impossible. But they still use it in so many of their sentences and phrases. It is either "The end of the road" or "The end of my rope" or whatever. Why they are so obsessed with endings even though they really scare them I have no clue. I'm not even that religious but I was familiar with many different mythologies and religions. There was something endlessly-see what I did there? And to think my folks say I have no sense of humour- interesting about the way people tried to give meaning and shape to something they could never truly test or experiment on and study the results. I never would have expected, however, to see the wonders on the other side while sleepwalking. Apparently, the road stopped for me when I was wearing my fuzzy rabbit slippers and my anime pjs. The one moment I was walking, the other I was taking a step into a flashy and bright void.

Or, you know, I could still be dreaming. I didn't know if I wanted to wake up yet though.
