Chapter 13:

Chapter 13 - The Strongest Guild

My Second Life Is OverPower [VOL 1]

Syura stepped into the guild and slowly opened the door.

Tapp...tapp...tapp Syura's footsteps echoed as he walked inside.

Creek the sound of the door opening.

Upon entering, Syura saw on his right and left square-shaped tables and rather luxurious chairs.

The atmosphere inside was quite lively. Some were laughing while drinking tea, others were looking at the mission board.

They all looked very powerful, and their auras were intimidating.

As Syura's foot stepped onto the guild floor—

Tasssss

An intensely oppressive aura enveloped Syura. All the adventurers who had been casually chatting suddenly released a terrifying pressure.

The pressure inside the guild was immense—like a battlefield.

On the other side—

On the second floor stood a tall, muscular figure with lion-like hair and eyes as sharp as swords. His aura covered the entire second floor.

He wielded a massive, thin sword colored red with blue accents.

He wore white armor with golden accents.

The figure sensed Syura’s presence.

Syura continued walking toward the guild's registration desk.

Suddenly, at the speed of light—

Tingggg the sound of clashing swords.

Syura blocked the strike, taking a defensive stance to parry the sword swing from that figure.

Syura only used one of his daggers to block.

Meanwhile, the guild floor cracked, some lights shattered, tables and chairs split, glasses broken.

The previously lively atmosphere fell silent in an instant.

An aura of gold mixed with blue spread throughout the guild hall—an aura that was incredibly powerful and intimidating.

Syura still held his defensive stance.

"I'm not an enemy. I just want to join," said Syura.

The figure released a skill without replying to Syura.

[Shadow Lighting]

[Infinite Lighting Slash]

Syura countered, but without using his full strength.

[Skill of Balance: Active]

[Skill Eyes of Infinity: Active]

With incredible speed, movements invisible to the naked eye—

Only the sound of clashing blades could be heard, and flashes of blue, red, and gold slashes lit up the room.

Tiggggg...tigggg....tinggg the sound of swords clashing.

None of the adventurers present dared to stop the fight.

Suddenly, from the reception desk—

"ENOUGHHHH!!!!"

DARRRRR the sound of a slammed table.

CRACKK the table split in two.

With astonishing speed, unseen by anyone—only a blast of rushing wind could be felt.

Fyuhhh the sound of that rushing wind.

"ENOUGH!!! I SAID ENOUGH!!! MASTER!!!"

The fight came to a halt. The incredibly fast and invisible swords were caught barehanded.

The receptionist’s left hand held Syura's sword, and her right hand held the other figure’s sword.

Her aura exploded, her hair lifted upward, her eyes glowed red like fire.

"ENOUGH!!! MASTER YOSU!!!"

"YOU’RE GOING TOO FAR!!!" said the receptionist.

Suddenly, Syura pretended to fall, weakening as if he had lost.

Thuddd Syura collapsed slowly.

"Y-yeah... sorry, Elena."

"I got too excited," said Yosu.

Then, with a still intimidating tone and raging aura, Yosu spoke—

"Stand up, boy."

"I know you're not that weak."

"I know that wasn't one hundred percent of your power," said Yosu.

Elena, still radiating a terrifying aura, said—

"That's enough, Master Yosu."

"Return to your place," said Elena.

"Yeah, yeah... please take care of this kid, Elena," said Yosu.

Syura slowly stood up. Elena began to suppress her power.

"What’s your name?" asked Elena.

"U-uh... I'm Syura."

"I just want to join this guild."

"Hello Syura, I’m Elena."

"The receptionist of this guild," said Elena.

Syura, confused, asked—

"Receptionist!? T-that’s impossible..."

"You’re incredibly strong, Elena," said Syura.

Elena calmly replied—

"Don’t be surprised, Syura."

"You're now in the strongest guild in the world."

“THE ONE”

"My strength is nothing compared to the others," said Elena.

Then...

"Can I join?"

Before Elena could answer, from the second floor Yosu gave a kind of guild entrance test.

"You may join, as long as you can catch my sword," said Yosu.

"That test again? That test is absurd, Master."

Then, Yosu took his sword and aimed it at Syura.

"Catch this. It’s only 30 percent of my power," said Yosu.

Syura activated a skill—

[Hand of God]

Then, Yosu threw the sword—faster than light, faster than lightning.

The sword passed right by Elena’s hair and shot toward Syura.

[Lightning of The Emperor]

Suuuuuuu—the sound of incredible speed.

Syura raised his hand.

Then—

He was blasted backward, smashing into the guild’s door, destroying it. The floor shattered beneath his feet.

But before he was flung out completely, Syura gave a faint smile—he had blocked the sword using only two fingers.

But no one saw that.

Back to Syura—

He was still holding the sword between two fingers. The blazing-fast sword halted instantly.

Then, Syura grabbed the sword with his hand and rested it on his shoulder.

He walked toward the destroyed door.

Tapp...tapp...tapp Syura’s footsteps echoed toward the exit.

At the door, Syura stood holding Yosu's sword, resting it on his shoulder.

"So, can I join?"

"Here’s your sword back, Master Yosu."

There was no more explosive aura, but the entire room suddenly felt hot and cold at once.
