Chapter 509:
En Passant Grandmaster
With the hair of all students and staff on the line, the game opened with Mifsud moving her pawn to d4 and Mimoko responding by moving her pawn to g5.
"Bwahahaha! You're blundering on move 1!? Or are you throwing on purpose? Say the word and I'll promote you to student council president after your nice smooth shave," Mifsud cooed as she moved her pawn to b4.
"No, that was a handicap. Your rating is only 50, which is absolutely pitiful. Even the previous principal had a higher rating than you," Mimoko glared as she moved her pawn to e5.
"All attitude. And for what? Are you THAT upset about having to go bald again? You were moaning like a full-blown horny slut when Irja shaved you. Who speaking of which, remains bald to this day," Mifsud happily huffed as she moved her knight to d2.
The mention of Irja only worsened the scowl upon Mimoko's face as she captured the pawn at d4 with her e-pawn. Mifsud, oblivious to the root of Mimoko's hostility towards her, moved her pawn to f3.
"You know, you're actually worse than the previous principal," Mimoko glared as she captured the pawn at b4 with her bishop.
"How? I'm cute," Mifsud sneered as she moved her bishop to b2.
"Being cute doesn't excuse what you did to those 8 back in Budapest," Mimoko glared as she moved her pawn to c5.
Mifsud's smug grin vanished as a disgusted scowl took it's place. "Oh, so that's your problem," she scoffed as she captured the pawn at d4 with her bishop.
"Why wouldn't it be? You were the main financer of that horrible event," Mimoko stated as she captured the bishop at d4 with her c-pawn.
"And that's all I was. The financer," Mifsud snarled as she moved her knight to h3.
"Yet you speak highly of Irja," Mimoko countered as she moved her knight to c6.
"And that's an issue why?" Mifsud asked as she rolled her eyes and moved her pawn to g3.
"Because Irja was with Deep Blue and fully aware of 6B's nefarious purpose," Mimoko stated as she moved her g-knight to e7.
Mifsud clicked her tongue as she moved her pawn to e4. "Troublesome. You really are one needed to be eradicated," she mumbled under her breath.
"You say something?"
"No."
"En Passant," Mimoko glared as she performed en passant and captured the pawn at e4 with her d-pawn.
Mifsud's eyes bulged wide as she rose and slammed her palms down. "YOU CAN'T DO THAT! That's cheating!"
"En passant is NOT cheating, it's a fully legal move."
"Not in my realm," Mifsud snarled as she attempted to swat away the pieces.
However, her hand simply phased through Mimoko's pieces, and eventually her own after she first touched the a-rook.
"Touch move, touch take. You have to move that rook you touched first," Mimoko glared.
"AS IF! WHO DO YOU THINK'S MAKING THE RULES HERE!? I'm rich! I bought your fucking school! I'm not gonna lose over one fucking game of chess!" Mifsud shouted as she slammed her rook down on c1.
"Then take your money back. We don't want it or you. And speaking of money, here's your check," Mimoko huffed as she captured the knight at d2 with her bishop.
Mifsud's face began contorting in millions of different ways. When she calmed down enough to think about moving her pieces, she weighed whether to lose her queen or move her king, instantly choosing the latter and moving her king to e2. While that did save Mifsud a queen, it cost her the game on the spot.
"Check," Mimoko growled as she moved her knight to d4.
"I have plenty of checks of my own!" Mifsud fumed as she moved her king to d3.
"Too bad, because you're getting no more than two assuming you don't further blunder," Mimoko declared as she moved her queen to a5.
"You think I'd blunder? Do you know who I am!?" Mifsud shouted as she slammed her pawn down on g4.
"Yes, you're the worst of the worst. Check," Mimoko proclaimed as she moved her queen to c3.
Mifsud was now forced to move her king to e4. And to put even more egg on her face, Mimoko's prediction came to pass as she was able to score the second check by moving her pawn to d5. And now, Mifsud's only move was to move her king to e5.
"This game is stupid. Why should it decide everything!? MONEY IS KING!" Mifsud fumed aloud.
"Then if your king is "money", it's just been checkmated, as have you," Mimoko huffed as she moved her d-knight to f5, winning the game.
The grinding of Mifud's teeth echoed throughout the gym as Mifsud's face contorted in fury once more. Mimoko had won, and she had lost.
"Now could the treasurer return her cash to her and escort her off the premises?" Mimoko asked.
And with that, Mifsud had enough and stormed away, the squeaking of her platform sneakers echoing as she made her way to the exit and kicked open the doors.
"Ara, guess that means I get the job... right?" Ichiko nervously smiled.
