Chapter 63:

Chapter 63

Suimen: Volume 4

The training room adjusted itself automatically as the pressure rose. Blue-gold sigils lined the curved arena walls of the Gravity Chamber, pulsing gently as if aware of the two titans stepping in.

On one end, the air crackled with divine lightning. Shizuku ‘Kurogane’ Mizuyari stood tall, his body emanating Guardian Angel of Lightning energy. His ponytail whipped in the static wind, and his armor now carried hints of white-and-gold platework, stylized with thunderbolt patterns and a glowing halo of mana around his head. His eyes glowed gold and white, and arcs of lightning danced along his skin like tattoos.

On the other end, Eris, ancient human, and the captain of the Special Elemental Forces, breathed in deeply as her own transformation unfolded.

Goddess of Gravity—her Transcendent State—activated.

Her black and silver uniform elongated into an elegant, form-fitting suit of swirling vortex-coded glyphs. Long braids of flowing energy extended behind her, orbiting slowly like planetary rings. The ground below her began to dent inward, not from weight—but from authority.

The air itself compressed. Time felt heavier.

Eris
Ready?

Shizuku
Always.

Eris raised her palm—and the room’s gravity tripled. Every particle, every atom, groaned under her command. Shizuku didn’t flinch. With a flick of his hand, the air erupted in a storm of lightning spears, zigzagging through the compressed atmosphere, adjusting mid-flight to counter Eris’s pressure zones.

Eris spun, shifting the battlefield into a gravity well that slowed time within its field.

Shizuku smirked—and vanished.

A moment later, his boot collided with the side of her head—only for her gravitational barrier to bend the blow into an upward force, letting her float back unharmed.

Eris used her entire environment.

Spawning micro singularities that pulled in attacks.

Launching gravity pulses that altered Shizuku’s weight mid-movement.

Creating compressed mass cubes that floated like chess pieces ready to explode.

But Shizuku was divine speed itself.

He dashed through lightning lines only he could see.

His strikes were precise, surgical, filled with thunder that didn’t echo—because the speed outpaced the sound.

He created a spear of charged seraphim-lightning, lobbed it, and caused a chain-explosion across every gravity field in the room.

The chamber shook.

They stood still—staring.

Eris narrowed her glowing eyes. She pulled all surrounding matter inward, forming a graviton blade, enhanced by layered reality-folding.

Shizuku brought down Mizuki Kurogane, now morphed into its lightning blade state Kaminari To In Norutsu Bo: Arashi.

They collided midair in a soundless impact that made the chamber walls flicker with black and gold. The shockwave bent the light itself. Then—

Silence.

A second passed.

Then another.

Both landed. And laughed.

Eris
Still the fastest freak alive.

Shizuku
And you still weigh more than a neutron star when you’re serious.

They bumped fists, canceling their transformations.

Eris
So what now?

Shizuku
Keep training. Just in case. I want to push to my second form again.

Eris
Guardian Angel of Lightning, huh?

Shizuku

(grinning)
I might need it soon.
