The Giant Hawk : Eirin

The giant hawk approached them menacingly while staring at them with anger. It was obvious that the creature was angry because they entered without permission. Orano and Caitrin stepped back and made no sudden move to make the beast angrier.

Caitrin said with an anxious tone,

"It was obvious that sooner or later he would find us, but how did it find us so fast, could here be its home?"

Orano said,

"Possible. This is an "Eirin", these mystical creatures have eyes that can detect body temperature, and have ears that can hear the littlest sounds. Also, they are faster than any other creature. It must have come after us the moment It detected our heat."

Then he turned back and said,

"Even if it is not as dangerous as a dragon, it has extremely sharp attacks. Its weak points are the back of its head and the belly. So stay back as long as you can, but if you have a chance to attack, try to attack."

Caitrin nodded and said,

"Okay, I get it."

Orano said to himself,

*It's really bad it found us at a time like this. It also blocked our escape route. All we can do is attack its weak spots. And weakest points of this Creature are the back of the head or the belly area. So either we attack from under it, or we have to find a way to get on top of it.*

The creature continued to approach slowly. But at that moment, it attacked of a sudden.

Tatsumi held his sword tight and blocked the attack. While the creature was pushing its beak towards him, Tatsumi was trying to push the creature with his sword. They both were struggling.

At that moment the creature pulled itself back and attacked again. Tatsumi slipped way back, but he attacked again. This time he tried to attack its wings.

The creature understood the situation and tried to block his attack, but just when he was about to attack its wings, Orano changed his target and attacked its body. The Beast was caught off guard.

It began to flap its wings and groaned in pain. It was angrier than before and was ready to attack Orano.

Caitrin thought to herself,

*I have to attack now and I have to attack quickly!*

Just at that moment, Caitrin acted quickly and hit the creature from the belly. The creature groaned once more and changed its target. The creature got Caitrin's sword and destroyed it with its claw. This is the time it was approaching Caitrin with a deadly look. But Orano quickly ran towards the creature and jumped on its head. He clung to it and pulled its feathers. The creature groaned in pain and tried to shook him off. But he didn't let go and held on to it. 

After that Orano gave his compass to Caitrin and said,

"Take this and get far away."

She was confused. What did he mean by that?

She shouted as he got away,

"Hey! Where are you going! What are you going to do?"

Orano shouted back,

"Find a place to hide! We have to find the rift first, then deal with the creature. Otherwise, we will going to get hurt!"

She then shouted again,

"I understand that, but what will you do! How are you planning to hide?"

He said,

"I have to distract it first! I'll catch up to you!"

Caitrin had no other choice, she nodded and tried to find a place to hide. While she was running she saw that Orano and the creature were fighting, relentlessly. They both gave each other hard hits and continued to fight.

While she was running, she finally found a place to hide and sat there.

She thought to herself,

*I must find a way to use this, and find the rift as fast as possible.*

While she was thinking, she realized something. It was all quiet. But they were fighting just a second ago, how could they disappear like that?

She was looking around but then she felt something approaching and turned around fast. She saw Orano and she was about to scream with fear, but Orano held her mouth gently and said,

"Shhhhh."

As he moved his hand from her mouth, She whispered,

"How did you escape from the creature?"

"The creature has minor damages in its body because of our sword cuts. So it will not be back for a couple of minutes.

Then he looked around and said,

"Come on let's find the rift."

While they were walking slowly, She whispered again,

"I know we have to find the rift, but you didn't explain to me how does this works?"

He said,

"We are not in an area that has magical energy, so it will not show any place. We have to keep going and find a place that has that kind of energy."

She nodded and continued to check the compass.

After a brief moment of walking, they saw something glowing from the corner.

He whispered,

"Found it."

And quickly approached there.

There it was. The rift was there and glowing with a bright blue color, just like Orano saw in Vichicar. He rapidly approached it and examined it.

On the other hand, Caitrin saw it too.

She said to herself,

*So this is the rift he was talking about.*

Caitrin looked carefully and saw somewhere much more luxurious than the second kingdom, Aetas. The city was glowing with its luxurious buildings and streets.

She said to herself,

*It looks beautiful but where is this?"

Orano said,

"Okay, now that we've found the rift, we need to get out of here as fast as possible. We have to-"

In the blink of an eye, The giant hawk appeared behind them, hit Orano, and sent him to the mountain's wall. Even they didn't felt the creature's giant figure. Caitrin got anxious and she was scared to move.

While Orano was trying to get up, He shouted,

"Run!"

She shouted back,

"Don't be crazy, I can't leave you-"

He shouted back,

"You have to get out! Run! Get away from here!

There was nothing Caitrin could do. She wanted to help so bad but she could only run in that situation. She turned around and started running. Then the creature started to fly and chased her,

She thought to herself while running,

*I have to help him.*

While she was about to get out, the creature caught her with its beak. And as the creature was about to fly away, Orano jumped on the tail of the creature and held strongly to it.
