The sword, with a sharp, brightly shining blade, was embedded in the stone. The sword had a Phoenix motif on its blade, its hilt adorned with obsidian gems. It looked beautiful; even Tia couldn't help but admire it.
[Host, pull the sword out now! The snake monster is approaching your position!]
Even without being told by the system, Tia unceremoniously pulled the iron blade from the stone. The sword gleamed brightly as if welcoming its owner.

The church's front door slammed open. The snake monster appeared, hissing. Their eyes met once again.

Simultaneously, Tia felt her heart constrict.
"Last girl, I need you," Tia was so surprised to hear the snake monster speak to her.
Even Leo, hiding under the altar, was stunned to hear the monster speak.
[Host! Dangerous! Don't listen to it!]
"Don't you want to meet your sister Leila again?"

Tia's vision blurred. A small girl appeared like an illusion. A girl with brown hair, her eyes even the color of her favorite black brownie.
"Big sister," she smiled exactly as she did in Tia's mind.
[Host! Wake up! That's an illusion!]
"Leila...." Tia, as if hypnotized, approached the monster. Her sister Leila was here. Even if she was with her, she would always protect her.
"Big sister, join me."
Tia's expression softened.
At the same time....
"That's the church! The illusionary snake monster is there!"
A group of surviving residents gathered. They ran with their weapons.
The midday sun was hot, but everyone felt their hearts burning even more fiercely to kill the monster.

They all arrived right in front of the ruined church door.

A giant, three-headed snake! This time its body was 100% snake!

Tia closed her eyes.
An almost forgotten image, a deep memory, deeply embedded in her mind, flashed.

"Big sister, I hate you," an eight-year-old girl sneered, an expression no child should have.
"I always wished you had died that day." This time she had grown beautiful, 15 years old. The gaze of hatred had never faded.

Tia always loved Leila, though Leila never realized it. Perhaps because they rarely met since childhood, in Leila's eyes, Tia was a cold and quiet figure.

A blue-haired mage shot ice from his palms while casting an incomprehensible spell.

'It looks like an ordinary snake... Is its scale as hard as a dragon's scale?'
Amertia frowned, deep in thought. She swung her sword just as the tail was about to strike her.

A ringing sound was heard. Amertia's pupils widened.
'Hard as iron! What species is this?!'

Once again, Amertia sighed. She jumped onto the snake's body, making it writhe and thrash its body against the church building to dislodge her.
But Tia refused to let go and plunged the sword into its hand.

"This is our chance, attack it!"
A red-haired man followed Tia and stabbed the snake's back. Strangely, unlike its tail skin, the snake's back skin was very soft.
The snake roared. Tia turned to see that the citizens had taken Leo out from under the altar and sighed, but before she could feel relieved, the tail moved towards Leo!
"Not so fast!"
Tia jumped quickly, throwing her sword through the snake's tail flesh and kicking its tail!
"Quickly, get him out of here!"
The people obeyed, quickly moving Leo away from the battlefield.
"How did you pierce that tail with your sword?!" The red-haired man from before looked at Tia in surprise.
"I don't know either," Tia answered honestly.
[That's because that sword is the Sword of Death.]
