Chapter 15:

Prologue

The Edge of Balance

Part Two: The Child

“Jiyoda Alltvald, you are accused of High Treason, how do you plead?” said the High Councilmen of the Great Above, Lauralien.

“Not Guilty,” said Jiyoda, yawning.

“Jiyoda, you conniving snail! You have done more wrong than you have done good!” yelled Councilwoman Herelayla.

“I have followed your words to the T. You told me to punish the people of Aternia and then you sealed me in the Eternal Balance! You told me to punish the Crown so I did, and now you are trying me for High Treason! How dare you,” retorted Jiyoda.

“When we told you to punish the City Aternia we meant for you to show them that the Aternum were true! You transformed their city into the hellscape now known as the Fields of Ash! The only survivors of that destruction made up the village Hirenlia, and now all but one man survived and he is sealed in the Magic Realm!” yelled Councilman Traysheeda.

Jiyoda looked over to where one of the many poets sat. Robes of many different colours, blue, red, green, orange, but one stood out from all of them. A poet with their head down wearing a deep black cloak, shrouding his body in darkness. “Dra’lum! Are you just going to sit here and take this! You are as equally guilty to these as I am! Dra’lum, no, Haverian, you are one of the reasons for the pain we are to feel! You set this in motion when you slayed the Crown! You are the true villain of this tale! You are the one who made the Dragon tip balance off the spire chaos, you are the Devil” roared Jiyoda

“Silence fool! There is no more need for debate! I am sure that the Council of Poets has decided on this man’s punishment! Eternity in the Nightmare!” yelled High Councilmen Lauralien.

“Wait!” interjected Dra’lum, clenching his fist. “He’s right. I did assist Thalorian in slaying the Crown, but I did not mean for his destruction of magic! The one guilty for those crimes is Jiyoda. He guided Thalorian, like a parent, and now Thalorian will never see his own child. Eternity in the Nightmare, he shouldn’t just suffer he should feel that anytime he has a chance at recompense I want him to feel the pain he’s caused every person he’s ever hurt, I want him to suffer!”

“Then let it be so, Jiyoda will serve eternity in the Nightmare feeling all the pain in the world at every moment,” concluded High Councilmen Lauralien.

As the Guardian Angels took Jiyoda away he roared and shouted cursing every poet and every man that had ever crossed him.

“I curse you! I curse you so that the seal on the Magic Realm is broken in fifteen-thousand years and havoc will reek once more on the earth you beasts have so diligently carved! You will all feel my wrath!” roared Jiyoda, clawing at the guards.

“We do not fear your curse, Jiyoda. We will be ready when it comes true, if it ever does, fool,” said Dra’lum, casting a shadow upon Jiyoda.

Just you wait fools! I will have my revenge, and your little gods will not stand in my way! Thought Jiyoda, shuffling into the Nightmare. I. Will. Kill. You. All.
