Chapter 79:
My Telekinetic Office Lady Girlfriend Is Way Too Powerful!
It was past 10 p.m. The tourists had long gone from Asakusa, and the shops along Nakamise Street had shuttered down. But a faint light still glowed behind the back gate of Hanayashiki.
A wooden Ferris wheel turned silently in the darkness. Officially, the park had been closed. The gates and fences stood quietly, presenting a face unlike the bustling daytime. Yet, beyond them—at what looked like the remains of an old shooting gallery—stood a woman.
She wore a cloth embroidered in red and black draped over her shoulders, with deep golden eyes and a strange silver coin hanging near her chest. On her lap lay an open deck of cards. As if she'd always been there, she lingered in Hanayashiki, caught in a warp of time.

【"You saw a Ferris wheel in your dream, didn’t you?"】A voice behind made Shota flinch. He was on his way back from entertaining a client. He’d just been walking aimlessly—and before he knew it, he was standing behind Hanayashiki.
“If you want to know how that dream ends… draw one.”
The woman’s eyes spun more quietly and deeply than the Ferris wheel in the night.
Unable to resist, Shota reached for the cards. The one he drew: an upside-down Empress.
“...Reversed.”
The moment she whispered it, the air around Hanayashiki seemed to shift. A damp night breeze creaked the Ferris wheel's frame. Sweat beaded on Shota’s hand as he held the card.
Fortune Teller: “The Empress, upright, symbolizes fertility and nurturing. But reversed... it means overprotectiveness, selfishness, and jealousy…”
At that moment, the Empress card in Shota’s hand gleamed bright red.
Fortune Teller: “This is grave... the Red-Eyed Empress reversed foretells… extreme possessiveness, unmatched selfishness, and absolute domination... H-How terrifying!”
She broke off and looked directly at Shota. Her golden eyes trembled as if gazing into something distant.
Shota: “Wait... Have we met before...?”
A tingle ran down his spine as a door to memory opened—back to the street of Shinsekai, Osaka, three years ago.
Fortune Teller: “Seems you ignored my warning... and made the wrong choice.”
Shota: “Wrong choice…? The Red-Eyed One (Does she mean Ryoko-senpai!?)...”
Fortune Teller: “Someone you never chose—but ran from—is still writhing deep in your heart.”
Thud. His chest pounded. It was as if someone had struck a place inside him he never wanted touched.
Fortune Teller: “You know who I mean, don’t you?”
Shota: “...W-What are you—”
Fortune Teller: “Tonight, she’ll appear in your dreams.”
Like someone who had already glimpsed the future, the woman smiled. Her expression carried a sort of affection—but it still sent chills down Shota’s spine.
The Ferris wheel groaned louder. Shota looked up, the Empress card still in hand. The moon beyond the iron frame seemed cold and distant.
“To appear in my dream… no way…”
Saying it aloud made it feel all the more real. Don’t remember. Forget it. The moment he thought that, the card in his hand flared with heat.
There was once a woman Shota respected deeply.
Or maybe it’s more accurate to say—he was claimed by her.
She was a storm. From morning to night, she did everything for him. “Shota doesn’t need to think. I’ll decide everything for you.” She always walked ahead, leading the way.——But one day, she vanished from his life.
“...You’re the one who didn’t choose.” Suddenly, the fortune teller spoke, as if she'd seen all of Shota’s memories. She stood slowly.
“Tonight, during the two full rotations of the Ferris wheel, the space between past and future will open. Go, and see your ‘what if.’”
She pointed to a gondola, barely visible in the dark. Its door had silently opened.
“Whether you go or not, that’s up to you.”
The Ferris wheel groaned again. It was the sound of a long-forgotten choice slowly stirring.
——Shota turned to the fortune teller with a face of sudden clarity.
“No… I didn’t fail to choose. The girl in the gondola wasn’t even a choice to me. I chose the Red-Eyed One—and I reached out and seized what lies beyond her domination!”
“(Ryoko-senpai!)” Shota thought, with conviction.
The next moment, he felt someone wrap him in a gentle hug from behind—
“Fufu♡ Fortune teller, you seem to have underestimated Shota-kun… It’s okay now, Shota-kun♩ I’m here to protect you♡”
Ryoko pressed a soft kiss to his neck, snapping him out of the trance.
“That’s right—♡Punishment confirmed~♡”
And just like that— the Ferris wheel behind them faded from view.

【The Red-Eyed One】When Shota came to, he found himself at Hanayashiki’s roller coaster station, wrapped in Ryoko’s embrace. The fortune teller before them wore a face of pure shock.
Fortune Teller: “You’re… the Red-Eyed One!”
Ryoko’s eyes shimmered crimson under the moonlight, like an albino python locking onto its prey.
Ryoko: “For Shota-kun to call me… I knew something must’ve happened. And you… you dared try to meddle with my precious Shota-kun♡”
With a flick of her finger—
Shatter!
The fortune teller’s crystal ball floated into the air… and exploded into glittering fragments.
Fortune Teller: “Wh-What is this power!? I wasn’t warned about this!”
Ryoko: “No, you were warned. Masako told you… I’m not as nice as her♡”
——Closing her eyes, Ryoko rewired the fortune teller’s brain chemistry with precise hormonal control.

【Epilogue: Who Was in the Ferris Wheel?】Back at their apartment, Ryoko spoiled Shota on the couch.
Shota: “So… who was that fortune teller anyway?”
Ryoko: “Apparently, an old acquaintance of Masako’s. She actually sent me an email about this night three years ago.”
She pulled up a message from her phone.
> Ryoko😺, three years from now, you’re happily living with the one🥰 you truly love💕.
> But there’s something I need you to watch out for 😩.
> A strange fortune teller 🎃 will appear and try to tempt😱 your beloved 🥰.
> You must protect him 🛡️.
>I already warned the fortune teller that you’re😈 not as nice as me✌️✌️.
>
> P.S. I’ll tell you more about her at your wedding 👰♀️🤵♡.
Shota: “...Masako-san sure loves her emojis…”
——Ryoko gently stroked his hair and pondered aloud.
Ryoko: “Hey Shota-kun, by the way… who was riding that Ferris wheel? Was it Tachibana-senpai? Akari-chan? Or someone I don’t know?”
Shota: “Huh? It was Mayumi-neechan.”
Ryoko: “……Wait, 😅 Shota-kun… you really are a Thoroughbred of Submission, aren’t you♡”
